Perfect instructional. No BS. Ground breaking for tee box leveling and cutting “training” starts tomorrow. Yardages and everything mapped out. I’m so excited to start now that I have the missing piece. ~370 dogleg par 4. Thank you so much!
Great job explaining the process Kyle. It did take me a whole year from my existing 3.5" KBG lawn to down to .5" by late Fall of 2020. Now that I have new sod installed I will have to start the process over again. I was bringing it down a half inch per mow once it took root ,but because it was only a few weeks and the temps heated up I had to stop the process and now wait till the Fall and have it fully established .
Striperman, thank you my friend! Good call with waiting until the fall to bring down the height of cut. I know you will have your grass looking better than ever!
Great quick summary of how you did it. I knew it wasnt going to be Fescue in there. lol. I cant get Fescue to like a 2" cut here in CT. Interesting about the pumps from the lake!
Great work. Been taking care of pga tour golf course for some time. I agree with a lot of what u said. Toro 1000 classic. Easy reel to setup to grind. Ur lawn does look exceptional dude. Great job. Awesome video. Love a shirt or a hat
Thank you, Matt! You obviously know your stuff and I appreciate the kind words. I have t shirts available right now. If you shoot me an email to Kyle.colborn@gmail.com with your address and shirt size, I’ll get you set up! Payment is available on Zelle and Venmo. Thanks buddy!
Omg $12-15k for the greensmaster 🤭😂😂😂😂😂 man I gotta find a used one! I havnt seen any here in Seattle 😩 super jelly 😂 lawn is looking good as always my dude! Love the video 😊🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾
Thank you my brother! It’s mind boggling to think about spending 15k on a mower but they are built to run all day every day on golf courses. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Looks awesome Kyle! As much as I like the look of low cut turf I just don't think I could commit to it properly. Especially when it rains here so much.
If I were to start a Fairway from scratch, I would use grass seed specific for golf courses but it isn’t 100% necessary. Thank you for watching and commenting!
That is Barenbrug regenerating perennial ryegrass. We had two big trees removed and I seeded the large cutouts with It. I love that grass seed. Here’s the link to it. amzn.to/3zavzix
I’m just happy to hear 3.5” is average
😂 I may have made that up to cool my wife.
Well played

sounds awesome! My dream. I have 3000sq ft to work with... so no complete hole for me!
Nice Video. Very helpful. What a great location.
Thank you!
Thanks! The best realistic way so far of all the videos I've watched to train your lawn to be cut low. You earned a subscriber!
This is a great video. I am turning my backyard into a 100 yard par three. This video is very informative. Thanks.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Dustin! Good luck with your par three and let me know if you have any questions.
You actually found 2 and I was lucky enough to buy the other one from you. Thanks again I love it!
Matt, you’re the man! I’m so glad you love your Greensmaster. Thanks for watching and commenting, buddy!

Can't wait Striperman!

Thanks John. Me either 😁
@@cmikecs You absolutely can. If you make the commitment to mow often and have the patience for the process it can be achieved
Yes I do! That’s what I did. There’s no reason you can’t if you don’t mind putting in the work.
Great video Kyle! Lawn is looking great and I like that chipping stroke too, not too shabby 👍
Thank you, Andy! We will have to get out on the course sometime.
Just gotta say I enjoy your channel. I live in IL as well so I enjoy the lawn tips from the same climate. Also, let’s go White Sox!
Thanks so much Chris! Go Sox!
I love the little guy in the TA7 uni!
😂 thank you, Eric! He wears his uniform all the time. We are taking him to visit the field of dreams tomorrow.
@@lakehouselawncare1755 that's awesome!! Enjoy. Now we need the big leaguers to keep rolling in Minnesota after last night.

Gorg, yard. Yard goals.
Thank you, Big C! It looks better than ever right now. I hope yours does, too!

As always beautiful lawn brother.
What type of grass you have.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Adan! My grass types are Kentucky blue grass perennial rye and about 20% tall fescue
Have you considered putting in a small bentgrass green? Would love to see that process!
I have actually considered that and it may be in the plans for the future. Thank you for watching and commenting!
What kind of grass seed are you using? You said you have a mix of rye, blue and fescue? Did you do tall fescue or regular fescue?
Looks awesome Kyle! As much as I like the look of low cut turf I just don't think I could commit to it properly. Especially when it rains here so much.
Thank you Nate! I’m sure you could pull it off if you wanted to. You’re right, it is a ridiculous amount of work though.
Thanks for the video 👍from the QUAD CITIES, home of the John Deere Classic
Thank you for watching and commenting, Charles! We are in the suburbs of Chicago. Have a great weekend!
Will all northern grass types spread laterally or just KBC?
Kentucky Bluegrass and regenerating perennial ryegrass are the only cool-season grasses that spread.
i thought golf grass is a different seed grass. no just regular grass mix.
If I were to start a Fairway from scratch, I would use grass seed specific for golf courses but it isn’t 100% necessary. Thank you for watching and commenting!
What was the name of the seed you had there? Yellow bag?

What pine trees? Like they were never there. Phone Pole palm stilz large
Thank you, Chuck! I’m really happy how the seeding project went to fill in where the trees were. Thanks for watching and commenting.
👍🏻.
If you don't need a certain grass seed, do this with just TTTF and see how that goes.
I would be interested to see how it would handle the short cut. I have tall fescue throughout my backyard and it has adapted pretty well.
I should try to shorten my TTTF. Haha
I’m telling you, it can be done! Haha thanks for watching and commenting, Christian.
👍🏾
Warm weather = TiffEagle Bermuda
You got it, James! If I was in a warm weather climate I’d go with Bermuda all day. Thanks for watching and commenting.
😢 promosm
Go twins
How many golf balls are in that water?
😂 that's a good question. Quite a few I'm sure.
