Louis Stewart... How have I never heard of this great player before? (I have been aware of the virtuosic Mundy for over 40 years.) Everyone on this stage is impeccable.
LOVE Louis Stewart! I only discovered him with my late father maybe 7 or 8 years ago..and indeed he was playing with Mundy at the time. ..a magnificent player who played the best swing stuff with Goodman and could play hard core bebop as well..(there is a killer clip of him somewhere on youtube playing "Donna Lee") He just passed away actually..God Bless Him R.I.P
RIP the great Louis Stewart. Saw him many times in Dublin in my youth. Mostly upstairs in the Parnell Mooney.
That was a great, and busy time for louis, he played Tue,in Baggot Mooney, Wed, in Dunlaoire Mooney, and, Thurs, in Parnell Mooney
