My sister told me about a guy who tried to drop a book in class to cover a fart but he got the timing wrong. After he slammed the book down, everyone looked at him and he farted really loud.

be happy cause it happened perhaps maybe one day there will be another don't know when, don't know where and of course there is still the legacy they left. maybe you could make your own games
God I hate how we can no longer reply to older comments. Anyways, I've heard several origin stories for "moshi moshi", but the most entertaining is that foxes (who are regarded as legendary tricksters/shapeshifters in Japanese mythology) have a hard time pronouncing it. Therefore, if the person you're talking to says it, then you know it's not a fox trying to trick you. Obviously this would probably have originated a long, long time ago, and people who use it today would no longer do so as superstition. Kind of like "goodbye" being a contraction of "God be with ye" from ye olden days, which is now just a word with no religious connections.
In regards to Aokigahara, the suicide forest: I'm pretty sure the closest any developers came to representing it in a game in some thematic way is with Silent Hill, since the forest is located in a prefecture near Shizuoka (literally, silent hill). Aokigahara's specifically in the Yamanashi prefecture, on the other side of Mt. Fuji, which is also near Shizuoka. Another fun fact is that by a total rando coincidence, SH composer Akira Yamaoka's surname's kanji combines both the 'yama' and 'oka' from Yamanashi and Shizuoka respectively. I bet they thought that was super rad. Good thing he turned out to be such a badass. /random shit no one asked about but idk maybe Liam'll find it hype.
"I'm on the First floor.", ten seconds later, "I'm on the second floor." five seconds later "I'm on the third floor." ARE YOU AN OLYMPIC SPRINTER?! O_O WTF?!

I'm not even complaining that there are ads. I'm just saying, when there are like, five ads in a video, it kinda kills the flow. For me at least. BUT ALSO YEAH HOW DARE THEY, THOSE ANIMALS
Apparently "moshi moshi" came from "moushiagemasu" which means "I am communicating this to you." As phones became commonplace, moushiagemasu was then shortened to moshi moshi and thus became the Japanese equivalent of "Hi, it's just me."
It's also because of some old folklore that some animal or monster, I can't remember which, couldn't say moshi moshi, so others would say that so you knew they were a human being.
the reason why they say moshi moshi isn't nonsense, apparently its because ghosts can't say things twice, so you know the person on the other end isn't a ghost that's not a joke
Man, I just realised, after five years, that this game, with the selling-point being that people will "call" your Wii-mote, is literally called _Calling..._ I always just read it as like _a_ calling or _the_ calling, but no, it's literally just fucking _calling... your cellphone._
Oh man, The Happening was so dumb. It was pretty effective in that the movie was very tense and scary at times, but the science and physics behind the entire thing makes it seem like it was written by someone who dropped out of the very first year of High School.
Someone probably mentioned it, but the suicide forest in Japan is located on Mount Fuji. People go there to kill themselves because they don't want their suicide to shame their family. They would rather people think they went missing. It's sad if you think about it.
@@everettvonscott Pretty sure seraslovely meant that suicidal people traveling to kill themselves in that forest to avoid shaming their family makes what's already sad that much sadder.
I enjoyed the bird puzzle in Silent Hill 2, it was tough but if you map it out it makes it easier, something along the lines of playing the keys that dont work in order of the birds mentioned.
Love how Pat becomes a 1920's detective when he's little babby scared :p and matt just like in slender is like "whatever ghosts I'm gonna punch your face" You guys are the best and should do more horror stuff
That doll was an imitation Okiku Doll. Legend has it that a boy got his little sister a doll, and she loved it immensely until she died from either yellow or scarlet fever a few years later. The boy was drafted into the army, and asked a friend to take the doll to the local temple so it would be safe. While there, the doll's hair continued to grow...and grow...and grow, just like the hair of a normal person. It is believed that this happens because the spirit of the girl possessed the doll to make up for her early death.
I think it's funny the game is repeating "You can't see well in the darkness." when the player without a flashlight can go around the school, seeing things by some mysterious light coming from their main character at the school XD And it just takes Matt and Pat so long to find the flashlight cause it seems like one isn't needing, until the game keeps repeating "You can't see well in the darkness." XD
The doll thing is super creepy and surprisingly common in Japan. I went to this huge mall in Tokyo once that had an entire floor dedicated to dolls and doll parts. The only people there were fat sweaty men intently browsing the shelves. I left really quickly.
dyldragon1 I only watched like the first 12 episodes (the first Blu-ray volume). And I do own the game, though it's pretty difficult, I'm stuck on the Yukiko boss fight.
I love how it's an RPG with difficulty, but it's combat is pretty simple. Tip: have Yu and Yosuke only fight Yukiko and just have Chie keep Dizzying Charming Prince with Bufu.
I was watching this and, I shit you not, literally all of the electronics in my god damn apartment flickered on and off because the fuse was being strained. Scared the absolute shit out of me.
Wow Pat, really? The white birds equal white keys, black birds equal black keys, and since it's the tale of birds without a voice you only use the silent keys. Then you just use the riddle info to figure out the order.
That's one of the cool thing about Matt and Pat is that they play everything and have a good knowledge of gaming in general. Anyone who plays Persona will get their references, if you playing fighting games you'll get the references and any of the jokes related to bad E3, game phrases and so on. Love it.
After all these years, those phone calls are still terrifying. If only there was some climax to the build-up or if the rings were decently spaced apart.
My first reaction was. "Hey, Hudson made some pretty good games, maybe this one will hold, too." Then I saw the "Recommended" screen. ALL HOPE WAS LOST. Love you, Matt and Pat. Keep it up!

"I fear nothing."
"Ah, so you're fearless!"
"That's not what I said."
“You can’t see well In the darkness.”
But you can play every single plucking instrument you want…

That whole "I'm coming to get my phone" ghost thing was actually pretty creepy. I applaud you game for giving me nightmares
