    Currently have the 208 GTLine 100hp and picking up my new 208 GT premium 130 in 2 weeks. I’ve never had the same model of car twice, that’s how good the 208 is.

      I've had my 208 GT Premium 130 in Faro yellow for just over a year now & love it to bits. Likewise, when I do change it, it'll be for another 208 - probably in 2023 after a facelift. Fab little car... and I have had many over the years.

      Driving my GT 130 for almost a year now and it's a great car. Coming from a Golf 8, which was horrible. Peugeot looks nice, interior is way up there, drives comfortable but can also be sporty and fun if you want it to. Not as economic on fuel as I expected, but that probably because of the creamy engine-gearbox combi :p It's also one of it's only downsides I can think of.

      can i ask, is it reliable? that’s my only concern

    • @sigiliberachi6463

      @@irepmyselfthatsall Have the same 100hp 1.2 GT line and it is top notch reliable so far. However I also thought it would use a bit less fuel. Not that it consumes a lot but around 7 liters per 100km mixed driving is my average and my previous Polo 1.0 TSI consumed almost a liter less

      @@irepmyselfthatsall the 1.2 PureTech engine is punchier then the 1.0 TSI though

    I had one in this colour for 18 months and LOVED it. Swapped for an e208 GT premium after 18months in Vertigo Blue. Love it also!

    I’m 54 and have lived in N America for 30 years, Denmark for 24. Have owned 14 different new cars from Audi to Volvo. The 208 Diesel with adaptive cruise etc is the best car I have driven. Plain and simple a real joy to drive.

    Panoramic roof is awesome, smart that it doesn't open less a chance it will leak later.
    I have that roof in my 2007 Grand Picasso and it's holding up great no leaks!

    Just downsized from a 10yr old 308 eHDi with a manual box, to a 2yr old 208 Allure 8spd auto...... Little cramped but the joy of not having to change gears during my daily commutes is already making for a much nicer drive every time. The tech is baffling somewhat, but getting into it each week of the 3wks I've owned the car already.

    Yes but the fiesta has been discontinued in quite a number of countries. Ford no longer makes cars even for south africa. So options are limited 208 , opel corsa its cousin, polo ,hyundai i20

    I test drove one today. Very disappointing. My foot wouldn't fit between the clutch and the foot rest, I'm only a size 8. The view of the dials is severely compromised and you are forced to adopt a steering wheel position that's far from optimum. The steering is ludicrously light and lacks any feel at all. The 'box is passable, a little rubbery in it's feel but accurate enough. The engine I drove was the 100 bhp and it was lively enough for it's size, no perceptible lag on acceleration or after running the needle to the redline and changing gear then getting hard on it again. (unlike my Swift sz-t which has a monumental chasm in boost after a spirited change). I really wanted to like the car after driving the Fiesta St line mhev, but I just couldn't. The looks are stunning but for gods sake how hard is it to just make sure you can see the dials and reach the foot rest?? Without these issues I'd have bought one on the spot, as it is I didn't and I won't. Massive fail Peugeot.

    • @glenncole7721
      @glenncole7721 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Massive fail for you maybe, but I don't have any of those problems. I am 5' 9" and the dials are clearly visible above the steering wheel. The iCockpit is absolutely fabulous.

    Can't fault the styling but Peugeot are being ridiculously stubborn with the I cockpit concept. It's very divisive. Must be costing sales. Vauxhall Corsa is the sister car and it proves it's not essential. Whilst on the subject of the Corsa. Vauxhall and Peugeot please bring back the VXR and GTi or Peugeot Performance ( if you want to call it that). Many enthusiast drivers are left with no option but to switch to Ford, VW, Hyundai or nearly anyone else. Parker's need to include pricing as well

    • @dgbservices6049
      @dgbservices6049 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      208 has been Europe’s best selling car for the last 2 years now. Also Peugeot have been Europe’s second best selling car brand over the course of the last year, only beaten by VW. They can’t have got the i-cockpit that wrong given their still growing sales success!

    • @robsmall6466
      @robsmall6466 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dgbservices6049 Peugeot have sold because of the styling. But in nearly every review the i cockpit is criticised. There a lot to like but they haven't exactly had the normal competition due to the pandemic

    • @dgbservices6049
      @dgbservices6049 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robsmall6466 Please explain your theory of “not having normal competition because of the pandemic”? All manufacturers across the globe were all in the same boat and Peugeot didn’t have any advantage over anyone else! They have surpassed their arch rivals at Renault and amazingly also Toyota. As for Ford, their sales across the continent have plummeted and the Fiesta can’t even be found on the top 10 sales charts for the UK anymore 😂

    • @robsmall6466
      @robsmall6466 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dgbservices6049 Ok. This isn't the playground and I owe you no explanation for the so called ( by you ) theory. As the saying goes "It's a nice day. Watch some idiot spoil it". So don't go spoiling it please. I left a positive comment about Peugeot and I'm ever so sorry if pointing out some obvious drawbacks have offended the local Peugeot fan. It all depends on when the 208 was in development. Much like the Corsa ( which has sold strongly ) 208 stock and other models were ready to go pre pandemic. Hence strong sales during. Same with Ford and the Puma which is ubiquitous on UK roads. But yes. Let's just turn this into Peugeot versus the world 🤦‍♂️

    • @Splitscreen83
      @Splitscreen83 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course the I cockpit isn't essential, but the Peugeot dash, interior, fit and finish, plus styling, makes the Corsa look like a Model T.
