@@miumoments thanks for the reply. My school is next to a high school so we can do high school math and science if we want. Im doing geometry in 8th. I didn’t want to do biology as it is one of our elective choices and wanted to do other electives.

My school makes us do butthurting diagnostics and tests to figure out our math level so its near impossible to get that high because the diagnostics are a horrible tool for it.
@@petrichor259 well yeah, but schools need more money to even implement good programmes. But u can enter and initiate things for free online and initiate offline clubs or projects yourself. So all in all, the people who go to private schools just have easier access to these clubs, but that does not mean u can't do the same things unless they require huge amounts of money

That’s okay!! Grades definitely play a role in admissions but they aren’t everything-the fact that you took all honors and AP classes shows your determination. I would explain the situation that impacted you in your sophomore/junior year on the additional information section and suggest that you highlight other aspects of yourself as well (extracurriculars, leadership, hobbies, etc.). Good luck!! :)
I'm a strategy consultant at one of the most prestigious firms in the world. I completed my MBA at an Ivy League school. I also used my time in high school to be a kid. Please do not aspire for this. This level of intense workload is a receipt for an unbalanced and frankly tough life. Be a kid, hang out with your friends, drink alcohol, don't take life so seriously.

As for looking for the opportunities I would ask students in grades above you, your school counselor/principal, Google, and watch other stats/ec videos for inspiration! And honestly, sometimes you have to make the opportunities if they don’t exist, which was something I had to do throughout high school.

Hi!! I started a lot of the community service projects I did from the ground up (came up with the idea, networked, executed the plans), and accounting for all of the behind the scenes work naturally added to my hours because I spent so much time on them. Hope that helps!
Your counselor should be able to integrate them to your high school transcript or you should be able to submit an extra document or additional info for most schools!
