Hey fella, I been meanin' to ask...are you happy with the Lizard-skin sound deadener now that you got it out and about, does it do a good job, was it worth the $$?
It does well. It would be nice to be able to compare to deadening sheets and carpet but it is definitely more quiet. I can have a conversation still going 70 down the highway. Have to still talk louder but wasn't able to at all before.
if you don't mind, can you tell me the cost of the Humvee build I want to do something similar in the future but a slant back build and a bit older Duramax.
@@bryanford1139 I would but most of the Cummins engines for sale are really beat up and super high miles and there's not really any scrap Cumming trucks in my area
I like cummins and duramax. No real preference for me. Both have their benefits. I haven't done a final calculation on it but I should be right around 20k for everything including the humvee, roof, and doors.
@@blue_applesauce9990 Where you at, maybe I can help. There's a guy in Vermont got's 10 of 'em sittin' on his shop floor. I took a random shot at a boneyard near me and found a 280K unit w/no blow-by for $1500...So far I'm into my drivetrain for $9K for 500hp/1300ft-lbs and the truck was $6K, still need driveshaft mods, doors, heater, and maybe A/C...so I betcha I'll be around 20K by the time it rolls out too.
@@tossthewrench Hehe, I's just yankin' ur chain fella, ur 100% right, they both have thier merits. Don't matter what yer buildin', long as ur in there cuttin', fittin, weldin, grindin, swearin, wrenchin' -n- paintin' it's aaaaaaaaaaaaall good!!
Fantastic work man.
Beautiful country out there, wher-a-bouts was that?
That's a drive down into Palo Duro Canyon.
@@tossthewrench Nice place, I put it on the Bucket list :)
