    I recommend installing your rear rack after adding the RotopaX mount to the rack. Otherwise, you'll have to back the rack out to get a flush mount.

      Yeah, that would be a lot easier. There is barely enough room to squeeze under there with a wrench to install the RotopaX mount with the rack installed, but it's a bit of a hassle.

    Looks like a roll bar for your dog 😀

      Haha - Coincidentally, I did just get my first dog ever on Tuesday. I think I’ll keep him off the bike for now though 😂

      @@HighDesertHills good idea until it is potty trained

    Folding would be a better option.

    Wouldn't it be better if it mounted at the rear of the rack?

    • @HighDesertHills
      @HighDesertHills  ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe. It wouldn’t interfere with backpacks that way 🤷‍♂️

    will the sisy bar work with the RotopaX fuel tank (1or 2 gallon)?

    • @HighDesertHills
      @HighDesertHills  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good point. It definitely won't work with the 2 gallon version that I have. I don't have a 1 gallon Rotopax, so I can't say for sure. My hunch is that the sissy bar would also block it.

    Works great for when you give your ex girlfriend a ride and she refuses to put her arms around your waist.

    Love the idea, but appears to me a very dangerous addition to an offroad bike.

      I was thinking the same thing. I’ve witnessed atv accidents that involved the rear rack causing bodily injury to the rider during a crash. I’m not saying that this would definitely happen, but that is the first thing that I thought of when I saw this... Aside from that, I can see where it could come in handy with a lot of luggage.

      Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want this on the bike when doing normal off roading, but I think it could be helpful if you wanted to fully load up the bike with camping gear and the like.

    The BACK Breaker Bar. No F___ing way. Not for me. Good Luck.

      That thing looks far more dangerous than useful to me. I can see me myself getting hurt a dozen different ways with it. I can only see it in my way, ALL of the time.

    • @HighDesertHills
      @HighDesertHills  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I definitely wouldn't keep it on for everyday riding, but I think it could be useful in heavy load situations, when people stack their luggage higher than that point anyway. I've been on camping trips where everything on my tail rack has had a hard time staying in place, and something like this would have been nice.

      @@HighDesertHills I often wear a backpack, so this would force me into a position when riding on-road. My Tusk big-a*s bag can be a room hog too. I hate being forced into a riding position (but I do tend to stand up for almost all off road riding, as my bike is near suspension-less)! Love your videos and I love seeing Utah.

      I'm agreeing with others here. No way would I put that on a dual sport bike. MAYBE for street riding where I was packed to the gills. But on trail or dirt I don't want something that could slam me in the back and hold me on the bike.
