They forgot to cross out "Magic Minority" (the android sympathizer who is a black woman and the black android oracle) and "Innapropriate Slave Analogy AT a Black Person" (that scene where North tells Josh - the black android - that he doesn't deserve freedom and should live as a slave for being a pacifist).
What they weren't expecting was inappropriate analogy FROM a black person. There's a conversation with Rose's son where he says something along the lines of "how our people suffered"

An awful lot of of good, talented people worked on this game. Unfortunately it's all for naught because the gravity well from the "Cage Hole" is too strong and sucked it all up.
This game could be great if it was just Hank and Connor, AND, instead of using the 60s black rights movement as a deeply flawed metaphor for fucking androids, the theme of the game could more be about the value and nature of free will, and questioning following the rules, even if the rules are laws.

"It was the android. The android killed him." Most people think androids are incapable of hurting people, it would be like you came upon a murder scene after being called by an Amazon Alexa and the dude points and says Alexa killed him so you shoot the Alexa, it makes no sense.
Don't want to be in the position of defending this POS game but an android had recently shot and killed several police officers after murdering it's owner. Makes perfect sense to me.
And just to be clear since as you say androids are seen as mere appliances then the officer was simply taking the precaution of deactivating a potentially dangerous nic-nak.

And speaking of which, why the fuck are those LEDs so easily removable in the first place? And why don't ALL deviants just do that, why did only SOME deviants remove their LEDs?

10:58 - Watching this now after seeing the whole series, I interpreted this as "wino failsafe" and thought that was a really specific scene to predict. 35:08 - They mention in one of the magazines how when androids used to not have those LEDs but then a law was passed that androids had to be clearly marked. So it actually makes perfect sense that that component can just be popped off because it was tacked onto the design after production was in full swing.
I just realized than in 2nd gig, when Connor and Marcus have the showdown and have to fight for the gun, Woolie and Pat should have tossed the controller and fight for it IRL.
I think one of the most correct things Pat ever said was at the end of this LP where he said more or less "Quantic Dream could put out a real show stopper without David Cage." Basically everything bad in Detroit Become Human circles back to that man. This game looks incredible, has great visual direction, great music, great acting, and actually does innovate a lot on the narrative game style. There are a lot of pretty different outcomes to get. Connor and Hank are wonderful. It's just David's poor writing really holding them back.

I think it's brought up in a magazine or police report the guys skipped, but yeah the writers literally never do anything with that piece of lore. And it ultimately never mattered because Kara and Markus showed that they can just rip out their LEDs anyway.
one of my most favorite badass moments in general is when a character just wrapped up some traumatic shit, like Markus in the junkyard, and as they walk away they just pick up a quick memento (usually some form of clothing or accessory) and take it in stride.
Yeah I remembered while watching this, and that the alternative is playing as North and she's even worse a character than Markus. Well at least you can fully delete Kara and Alice from the experience.

I think one of the most correct things Pat ever said was at the end of this LP where he said more or less "Quantic Dream could put out a real show stopper without David Cage."
Basically everything bad in Detroit Become Human circles back to that man. This game looks incredible, has great visual direction, great music, great acting, and actually does innovate a lot on the narrative game style. There are a lot of pretty different outcomes to get. Connor and Hank are wonderful.
It's just David's poor writing really holding them back.

I think it's brought up in a magazine or police report the guys skipped, but yeah the writers literally never do anything with that piece of lore. And it ultimately never mattered because Kara and Markus showed that they can just rip out their LEDs anyway.

one of my most favorite badass moments in general is when a character just wrapped up some traumatic shit, like Markus in the junkyard, and as they walk away they just pick up a quick memento (usually some form of clothing or accessory) and take it in stride.

oh my god it took me this long to realise that the reason all of the cars didn't slow down for the road crossing scene at 41:30 was because they are self-driving cars, and they're prioritising the human passengers over the androids crossing the road.
