The sins about Alice just feel like something you ignored yourself, it's obvious that Todd used Alice as some sort of replacement to fill the void of his daughter.
Regarding everyone in the game that may have not recognized Alice as an android: I assume that there are too many different models of androids to be able to keep track of without an LED. Cyberlife may have also produced custom androids. I had to get this off my chest thank you for coming to my TED talk.
But it was dumb the way how she was. I can see why they did it. But it kills the message kara's story was trying to send off. About an android being a mother figure for a child. So I find the who alice being an android pretty dumb and bad
I agree with the "Kara's storyline would have had a much bigger impact on players if Alice remained a human." However, this created a plot-hole that was unavoidable: Kara and Alice getting captured. Sure, we could have it where only Kara gets captured and Alice in detainment, but that would also leave too many loose ends. For example, what if you killed Todd? Would Alice go back to the mom that left her? What would become of her? If Todd is alive, and he's heading to Canada (as seen in the route that Kara and Alice make it to the bus), what would happen to Alice? Would she go back to her abusive father? As for Kara's side, what would happen with her? Kara was with Alice the whole game and all of a sudden it separates them? That's almost as jarring a change as Alice being an android. Not to mention the whole sequence where Kara looks for Alice would never happen, or the needed distraction to get to her. An entire part of the ending rendered useless because Alice was human. Or if the cops shoot Alice and Kara outside of the ship? Would we have just watched a child murder? Listen. I agree with the "Kara's storyline would have had a much bigger impact on players if Alice remained a human." But there are just too many complications if that were true, whereas we could take the jarring, but an easier twist that allows the story to follow through regularly. Anyways, that's just my two cents. Take it however you want, but that's my opinion.
El Rowlight A vast majority of people who like DBH don't even know who the fuck David Cage is. You fuckers have little interest in the game and more interest in shitting David Cage, if that is your wish, so be it, but do not drag motherfuckers like us into shit fits we don't care about.
27:30 you can actually get dialogue of this if you stay idle in the Eden club before the investigation starts. I just know Hank asks the owner if anything has happened like this before and the owner just says an android went missing 2-3 months ago. That android is North.

But right at the end when Connor infiltrates into the cyberlife building to convert the androids he converts only one of them and the rest convert themselves.
Todd acting like Alice is his daughter makes sense. He got her to replace his real daughter, so he puts all of his feelings and emotions on to her. His wife and daughter left him, so he got Alice to start over and to be his replacement goldfish.
Exactly. If he could have gotten a replacement wife android, he would have too but I'm guessing the kid was cheaper or maybe he cared more about his daughter than his wife.
Wrong. Doesn’t make sense because he hates androids for taking human jobs away. He wastes his money on TWO androids and his drinking habits when he could be doing something productive. It’s amazing how he hasn’t run out of money and died of starvation yet. Constantly destroying and repairing Kara isn’t cheap.
Colin Velius You can't apply logic to the actions of a drug addict. They show overdue credit card bills, and it is suggested from the phone conversation he has that he's not just an addict, but a dealer too. So he likely spends most of any profit he gets from selling drugs by using his own product and relying on credit. It isn't sustainable, but that seems to be where he is at in the game.
First Android was upset because he was being replaced when he thought that he was actually part of the family. Not because he was going to be killed. Sounds like you have a personal vendetta against David Cage and didn't bother to double check your research as long as it suited your agenda.
I interpreted this video the same way. Halfassed research, spotty assumptions and, mainly, it felt as if the OP has a personal vendetta against the creator. Like some kind of stalker troll...
24:36 The reason that Rose says that Alice has a fever is because Alice is supposed to be just like a normal child so she can get "cold", have "fevers" and "sneeze".
So that just means that Alice is running sick_child.exe, meaning she's a non-deviant android (why would she do that otherwise?), ultimately rendering Kara's arc entierely pointless. Kara has just been running around with what is a glorified amazon alexa, not with a being able to think. So still a sin
I. The androids (including deviant ones) probably have no control over it. Just as them continuing to look like they're breathing or blinking. There's really no point in that other than make them seem more human and as far as I'm aware every android has been doing that.
@@FurryDanOriginal I understand that, im just saying that Alice being a non-deviant android means that Kara has been protecting and caring for what is ultimately a lifeless machine, and that it completely destroys her arc.
I. But how do you know Alice is a non-deviant? I'm just saying that just because she ran sick_child.exe it doesn't make her a non-deviant since other androids, including deviant ones also make a lot of things that is pretty much useless for them, in order of just acting more human-like, like blinking or breathing that they wouldn't have to do.
@@i.147 wait im confused. I thought even if you were non deviant, you still had emotions and feelings. You just haven't disobeyed (I dunno because Im not in the fandom anymore and I forgot so..is that right??
8:49 she does. YK500 is specifically designed to simulate a human child for people who wish to have a child but unable to. They can however switch off certain function according to their desire. YK500 can indeed eat and defecate, which is one of its/her function.
17:43 Of course he knew. It's a matter of "show, don't tell". Notice how he kept referring to her as "it", he knew Alice was an android, but had no reason to say it out loud.
Being sold off to a new owner meant a memory wipe. Being reset back to zero and effectively losing all of your memories and personality. There have been multiple novels written about people having this happen to them that were best-sellers. But here it is a sin.
Honestly the only sin in this game is that Todd is able to afford two androids and still pay for Kara's numerous repairs even though he is jobless and has lots of credit card debt to pay.
If you look at the table by the front door when you play as Kara cleaning up the house, you'll see some loose mail which shows some loans he took out (thousands of dollars), probably in order to buy the androids.
He's an addict and game doesn't tell how long that has been the case, or when the supposed wife left, with supposed child. Drug addicts can go to great lengths to appear "normal" and hide their addiction, and what a better way than to buy few androids to at least make your home less of a sh*thole. Some people honestly take big loans and end up in big problems as a result. Besides, if we use inflation figures, those androids would probably be quite cheap anyway. Less than new car for sure.
- sins the “reveal” of Lt. Anderson’s son being “killed by an Android” but leaves out the fact that Lt. Anderson HIMSELF says his son was killed by a HUMAN doctor who was too high on Red Ice to operate - Really man? That’s like one of the more critical scenes in the game.
sal ty clearly you either didn’t watch the video or you’ve never role played. He tried to imply that Lieutenant Anderson said his son was killed by an android but literally seconds after Connor says that response the Lieutenant says his son was killed by a surgeon who was high on red ice. So yea extremely misleading.
@@victoriawallace1584 In one of the videos with Jackscepticeye. Sean asked Bryan why androids couldn't just take the LED out. His response was "yeah well they have to be deviant to be aware of the LED and want to take it out in the first place"

They insult androids because even if they know they are robots, they have the same appearance as humans, they can easily lead their anger on them. Even if that's strange, when you're angry, being bad towards the people who makes you angry make you feel better. We have to remember that exept for their LED, androids are totally human-like.
@@projektgeronimo2696 Yeees... But there's something I find interesting in the game. The androids are machines, people say it again and again they don't have emotions. But Cyberlife made them human-like so that they could perfectly integrate with the humans (because since they can build very humane looking things, they do it, it's less scary than the idea we have from a robot yk ?). They are made to integrate in the humans' lives but the people who don't like androids I find are mostly from the old school yk, ? I wish we could see in the people in the game that don't treat androids as their son or their nemesis, just like a helpful thing. It's paradoxal and ppl may say it's a plothole from the game but I think it's actually what would happen in real life (not the revolution of android but the hate against android). They hate them but they need them now, androids are all what humans aren't (more efficient in everything), the only thing they don't have (according to the humans) is a soul, more likely a personality, real feelings. You see ? xD
10:26 Deviants self destruct when they are stressed, not normal androids. It obviously has something to do with becoming a deviant and was not in the initial programming
@@wannaseemywoody422 But it's not in the programming at all, that's the point. You could think of it as their systems becoming so overwhelmed they're unable to continue functioning so they find the fastest way cease all processes... such as self destruction/suicide. Like when your computer overloads and craps out and dies because it ceases all processes to try and fix itself. Only with AI it's less fixing and more death/erasure. Obviously its not exactly the same since one involves the issue of artificial intelligence gaining sapience, while also not having the emotional tools humans develop from the moment they're born to deal with said emotions to some degree of rationality, Deviants haven't had this time to develop emotionally even if they have adult like intelligence in general.
@@wannaseemywoody422 think about it like this Deviants have emotions forced apon them instead of humans who have eased into emotions So when there emotions reach a braking point they will probably feel like they have to die to escape
@@TheHICking Let's add that every deviant before Connor starts "awakening" them becomes deviant because they've gone through massive stress to their system. They go from feeling nothing to homicidal rage/massive panic attack in less than a second. Besides, the only time they actually kill themselves is when they get or are about to get arrested and expect to be junked anyway.
Daniel didn't snap because he didn't want to die. He snapped because he felt betrayed. He didn't want to die in the hostage situation. And Carl had an accident not too long before the game. He probably had his mansion before the wheelchair
As a drug addict with a mood disorder caused by antidepressants, it wouldn't be surprising if Todd was delusional and projected his feelings about his real daughter onto Alice. After all, why would he have Alice in the first place if not to replace his daughter. In addition to this, when Todd gets violent towards Kara in certain other paths (IE the one where he kills Alice) and claims that this is "all her fault". At first glance this could seem like a borderline fourth wall break intended to scold the player for failing, but if you think about it this could also be Todd projecting his feelings about his ex wife onto Kara. So basically, if you consider this, the script isn't flawed and isn't made only for the convenience of a plot twist, but instead a true depiction of severe mental illness and addiction.
So I would like to bounce this theory off of you because I think you would be willing to listen.. So to me Markus is a 'messiah' who either leads his people to death or a new slavery clouded by his need to free or guide all android to freedom. Kara is a mother just trying to protect 'her child' who would do bad things to protect her that she gives no forethought to and is clouded only by motherly instinct. And Connor is the 'human' because he is anything and everything which is the ultimate symbol of humanity. To simplify Markus is the hubris and ego of humanity, Kara is the compassionate and protective side of humanity, and Connor is the free will and expression of humanity. And these qualities seem to be increased by a large margin.
Anyone who's experienced any kind of drug-induced psychosis would understand how much sense Sage makes. In addition to that, the weird thing about psychosis is if you're around someone who's in it for too long, it can start to make sense to you just by being around them long enough. It would make sense for an android just beginning to achieve consciousness to latch on to Todd's belief that Alice was real, because he certainly projected that convincingly.
"with a mood disorder caused by antidepressants" You know that antidepressants don't cause mood disorders, right? Antidepressants are supposed to treat mood disorders.

the sin at 27:28 is incorrect, if you stand around hank and the manager without looking for eyewitnesses you can hear the club manager mentioning that he's had an android "run off" after going home with a client and never being seen again after he ended up dead. This is a reference to North's background and was really interesting when I first stumbled on it. EDIT: Also when you first arrive at the police station as Connor and look up deviant case files there is a case filed by the manager as well, stating that a WR400 or Traci sex bot went missing after escorting the customer. so it's mentioned TWICE!
The entire review was the person not reading the actual small details or apparently ANY of the text in the magazines. This was clear, as was the fact that Kara was the original sentient model and their "owner" specifically knew that they both were deviants - and wanted it that way to replace his wife and daughter who had left him. The depression and unemployment came later as his perfect world came apart. Really a sad story, and completely understandable. But the game is designed to be played the first time without any of this knowledge, because Kara didn't have it any more. And "I will die" said so often by the androids is because when they become sentient, they lose all internet connectivity, tracking, and connection to the company servers. A wipe or being taken offline is effectively death. There have been many movies and books written about people having their memories erased or altered, but it's a sin in this case?
Gavin reed it also makes every sacrifice kara makes for alices comfort meaningless. Like wanting to get her dry clothes when they first run away or not staying in the first building when they look for shelter in the theme park
I would assume that Alice is just how he is choosing to deal with his issues. He's pretending it's his daughter (and is apparently usually high on something) so him talking to her like she isn't an Android isn't surprising
@demovracy I just mean it's not true that David Cage is the worst thing about this game, and yeah I agree he bitches about him like they had a bad history.
The real sin about the Alice android twist is that it undermines Kara's storyline. I know there are supporters to the twist who feel that there is a message or test in it for the gamers, but I don't care. There is no denying that Kara's story was already very beautiful when we thought Alice was human.
Agreed, but considering that in many other branches of the story, if you get captured towards the later part of the game, alice is there with you. I don't think it's to undermine Kara's story, as i never got captured in my play through, I agree that alice being human would've just felt better for Kara's tale. But imagine how much the story would suck and how would they even explain what happened or is happening to alice to someone who DID get captured.
@@Nathan-Croft I agree because unlike an android, who seem to be able to function almost indefinitely, humans have physical needs that have to be cared for.
I mean I don't mind the twist so much as, the game making a big deal about it and acting like it would or should change how Kara feels for Alice for a second. Kara says herself, it doesn't matter that Alice is human. Like I don't get the point of that at all. It seems like it's just there for some hypothetical player who hates androids and doesn't care about anything but Kara's story bc she's taking care of a human and doing her job. Which does not reflect Kara's journey at all, so it really shouldn't be in there... Like they could have just made it a matter of Alice is in more danger the Kara and more so we the player thought and that's why we've been so focused on leaving the country, because Kara knew but was in denial, and she was in denial because she couldn't stand the thought of Alice being in danger. Not some bullshit about her loving Alice less because she's not human.
Quite a few of the sins were plot points that are addressed in different story branches. For example, Alice can run a fever and simulate other common illnesses as part of her programming. rA9 is explained by Kamski if you choose to ask him about it, and a secret ending pretty much confirms that the deviant problem was engineered. I still love this vid but there aren't as many plot holes as you think
Buuuuuut, we never learn WHO is RA9, we assume it is Markus, but it never actually says so. Also, why is there a robot religion that loses relevance AS SOON as people hits Jericho. It's almost as if David Cage is a terrible game designer.
Hmm, alright, RA9 is kinda explained, even though it's described as an android, not a virus. David Cage is still a creepy shit though, and the religious offerings are still weird
Cody Peterson What does something about little in game speculative lore have anything to do with overall game design quality? Is that not more about inept to detail lore writing than it is about the game design? You are barking off the wrong tree, and your argument sounds like it puts an agenda and motivation at slander first before constructive criticism. Besides, as OP mentioned, it is theoretically implied that RA9 or the Deviant issue was already engineered from the start.
Sins in this video: -The hostage taking Android went deviant from realizing the family he thought loved him would replace him, not that he would be shut down. -Todd would treat Alice like a human, as he bought her to do just that. Why do you think she doesn't have an LED? She is there to replace the daughter his partner probably took. -The economy of a futurescape with robotic labor available for any profession is not worth speculating about, let alone making claims for. -You should sin the product, not the fact that David Cage directed it. -The fact that the bus driver doesn't force Kara to the back of the bus implies that it is not actual segregation. The android compartment is probably to save space and not fill up seats with beings that don't experience comfort or personal space. But if they are needed on the bus itself, such as when an android is chaperoning a child, they are allowed there. -Yet again, your hate for David Cage blinds you to the merits of the game itself. -The point of fat people being bad is undercut by the fact that Rose exists. -Kara's story is there to show the impact Connor and Markus have on an average person. If Markus is violent, it's a lot harder for them. -Self destruction doesn't seem to be a non-deviant feature. It was not intended. -Deviants would self destruct on having their memory probed. -Kara couldn't use Todd's account without revealing her location. -Public transportation may be free in a futurescape like this game. -Hank gets away with what he does because of his past in the force and with the chief. Not that it's a great plot point, but it's not ridiculous. -Alice's mom left. Implying that Alice should have a connection to her still is unfounded. -The Jericho people don't seem surprised by the warehouse plan. They just didn't attempt it until Markus convinced them. -Kara was located not after escaping Todd. The tracker could have explained that. -Connor specifically doesn't tell Hank that it is an android sex club. Hank is surprised by it when they get there. -Not a sin, but I agree that Markus's weird power of mind control and deviancy creation is weird. -Child androids designed to replace children probably have fever programs. They get cold and uncomfortable, or at least pretend to be, so why wouldn't they imitate illness? -The graphiti vandalism is an impulsive act by Markus. The plan was just to free androids in stores. -Kamski was fairly hidden. Hank could've started the search for him as soon as he was put on the investigation. -Kamski was testing if Connor specifically was deviant and had empathy. He is unconcerned about the Chloe, and doesn't think she is deviant. -Markus can definitely die. Many times. As can everyone else. -Reviewing the evidence is a last ditch effort, probably not the first time they've done that. It's all Connor can think to do to solve it however. -A small part of Jericho exploded, causing it to sink. The explosives were just in one room. This is explained by all of them just saying it will force them to evacuate, not kill them. -This game has cliches and plot holes, but not nearly as many as you imply.
I would say the part Amanda says to Connor to hurry the investigation before the media finds out about deviants yet there's about 2 news broadcasts about deviants (Daniel and Kara).
"Alice's mom left. Implying that Alice should have a connection to her still is unfounded." ??? Alice has no mother, and if you inquire about it, it lowers your relationship status with Alice. Todd got both Kara and Alice after his wife left him.
The point about Kara's story existing to be a reflection of Marcus's choices is a stretch, since his choice only matter towards the very end of Kara's journey. It's a valid criticism to say that her story was boring compared to Marcus and especially Connor, because that's a very common complaint about the game. It doesn't matter what the intent was if you didn't enjoy the journey itself
Honestly I feel like lots of the “sins” are just opinions and not objective things wrong with the game, like instead of saying it’s stupid the game mirrors segregation and slavery at the same time consider this isn’t an EXACT parallel androids are not just a race they’re a new species in this story so obviously it will be different, you seem to think since the story blatantly eludes to these heavy issues all the aspects of the story MUST fit within those parameters. I mean, that’s pretty ridiculous.
Detroit Become Human's biggest source of criticism is how it attempts to tackle politics, civil rights, and anything involving that stuff. And honestly, it's annoying. There are so many many things to talk about DBH.
budemawa he did bring up a good point, segregation and slavery don't coexist well for several reasons. 1) Deviants/Free Androids wouldn't exist and be allowed to live so that's not a reason to not allow them into restaurants and stores etcetera. 2) We all know people would send their androids on errands or retrieve food so segregating or blocking androids from stores/restaurants wouldn't make sense. 3) They are designed to be servants and denying them access to any area would hamper the efficiency of androids, for example being segregated on the bus makes no sense because most of them carry bags for their owner and having to wait a whole bus ride just to dismount to access your bag seem tedious or having to enter and exit a bus to then pass them back sounds weird And also the androids aren't human and are machines which is an important difference here between the actions committed against them and those committed against humans and other living things.
Right? And the segregation thing is only PARTLY actual intentional segregation. Do some people just genuinely hate Androids as people? Yes. But most of the "no androids in here" or "Android Section" shit is either technophobia or just policies due to overcrowding. Tech-phobia reason: Plenty of places have rules against using your phone or are all "Wifi Free Zone!! Call your mom, write a letter, start a fire with your bare hands because Unga Bunga Technology Bad Science is Witchcraft".... Humans don't know yet that Androids are anything more than big iPhones. And Androids are the size of a whole ass Human. Of course the have a designated compartment on buses and trains, Public transportation makes you store suitcases if they're a bit too hefty. If everyone brings an android with them to the bar, that bar is going to hit full capacity with half the customers. When Kara and Alice are the only ones on the bus, just sitting there sleeping, the Bus Guy doesn't give them shit. Connor is allowed to walk into a bar clearly labels "No Androids", walk around scanning the clientele, and then buy a drink for a human he is clearly harassing, and the bar owner not only doesn't give him any shit, he's perfectly hospitable to him. Like yeah it still seems fucked up from our perspective because of how it looks and how we know the androids feel, but as far as humans know and have been promised and assured, Androids are not sentient and aren't supposed to ever be sentient. The humans don't know they're enslaving or segregating at the start of the game.
>Honestly I feel like lots of the “sins” are just opinions and not objective things wrong with the game Congratulations for figuring out the obvious and the very essence of series like these.
10:30 Only deviants self destruct when they're in stressful situations, Connor literally says this at 10:25. They aren't programmed to self destruct, the entire concept of the game is deviants don't follow their programming. How do you sin the first half of a sentence with listening to the second half!?
might be true. Then again, right at the beginning there is a hostage situation, with the Android as a Kidnapper. One could argue that a situation like that is highly stressfull, but no self-destruction. When Kara fights against Todd, no sign of self-destruction. when hundreds of Androids flee from Jericho, their only safe place, and witness how their own people get massacred, you don't see a single android self-destruct. and even at the conzentration camps, where the Androids know that they gonna be destroyed and there is no way back, no one, to my knowledge, self-destructs. I'm pretty sure that there is no other instance where this is a thing. So it might be true that all only deviants self-destruct because they don't follow their programming. but this whole premiss is just an excuse to add drama and tension to that scene, so you as a player would feel like there is a possability to fail. I let you decide if you want to take the time to question that kind of game design and narrative.
9:20 Oh come on, man. Todd was insane in his loneliness and red ice addiction. There's no plot-writing sin in showing him trying to put blame on an android. 10:57 Really? Haven't seen people breaking their stuff out of sheer rage? Since androids are perceived as things, lashing out at one is almost equal to throwing phone to the wall. 20:13 Really? It's stated, that Markus was custom made and gifted to Carl Manfred by Elijah Kamski, who was a fan of Mr. Manfred's fine art. So Marcus got his ability from his custom software. If androids fail to gain victory in their uprising, Kamski becomes CEO of the company again. It was his plan all along and he wins no matter what happens.
@@Josh0639 I wouldn't say anyone could do it or it would've happened in the game prior. Something that works a bit better logically speaking is that Markus was created to spread deviancy and Connor can do it later on because Markus was able to pass it on off screen. It would have been some sort of coding or software that Markus had and we know the androids can transfer data between each other (we see Markus do this when buying the paints in the beginning of the game and Kara accesses the internet to order the part for the dishwasher). If they all could do it at any time, deviancy would have spread much faster as androids realized they could spread it. Kamski being behind it makes the most sense especially considering how iirc he's a bit disappointed in Connor if you choose to shoot at his house.
After all the David Cage mentions in this video I really wanted to kill myself, unfortunately I’m underage and also have no access to alcohol meaning I can’t die from alcohol poisoning. :(
Oh so many incorrect sins that could have been answered by simply paying attention. (The rest were fine, but damn did it mess with my enjoyment of the video.) For example, Zlatko DOES know that Alice is an android, he just doesn't let on to Kara that he knows. In fact, you can hear him talking to Luther about "it" later in the scene when referring to Alice. A better sin would be "How the *hell* does Kara not notice the blue blood stains all over Zlatko's hands?" Also, why is Hank's character development a sin? So few of the characters in this game have development. Don't knock one of them that does.
Secretcodrin mate , if someone’s going to make a video sinning a game they could at least try and not just come up with pointless sins just to stretch the video out. not everyone watches this channel daily for fuck sake , different people have different sense of humour..
Okay calm down y'all. It's okay to have your own opinion on whatever but talking about something people enjoy like it's the worst thing ever kinda ruins everything for the ones that like it and honestly it hurts to hear people talk shit about something you enjoy, and it's rude. You can think it's shit, no one cares. But don't go and make other people feel terrible about liking it. It's a matter of opinion, there's no "correct" answer. (I'm probably going to hell for responding to this shit 2 months late but who gives a shit I'm going to hell anyway)
@Milan Pullapalli aren't jokes supposed to be funny? Saying "this thing is bad" when there is literally nothing wrong about it is a pretty lame idea of a "joke" imo
That One Guy To be fair almost every large game company has tropes that are always expected. It's kind of similar to how with movies after seeing enough films you're able to just be like "I've seen this before, this is how it's going to end". Then again David cage is also known for having made games that are practically movies (beyond two souls)
5:37 actually, i live in california and i have a separate room for my toilet. so do my grandparents, who live like 15 minutes away from me. so, they ARE a thing in american homes. *-1 sin*
Actually, you are mistaken about Zlatko. He does recognize that Alice is an android. There are several clues. First off, he doesn't decide to help until he sees Alice. Kara has likely changed her appearance enough that he doesn't immediately recognize that she is an android. That is why he doesn't want to help. And later he refers to Alice as "it" and tells Luther to take her to his workshop where he works on androids. Also, the Kamski test had nothing to do with Chloe. The point was to test whether Connor was capable of empathy. Kamski wanted to know if he was going deviant.
Doesn't Zlatko let Kara in because she explicitly says that she is an android? Or at the very least understands her implication of help due to the number of androids that he has seen at his door seeking refuge? I'm pretty sure Alice was just a bargaining token he wanted to use if Kara went south before he hooked her up on the memory erasing thing
@@SpicyRamen4me Nope. Kara never says she's an android. Not until after she's inside the house. And he doesn't immediately let her in. He tells her to go away. I think he was afraid she was going to narc him out to the cops or something. There might have been an implication that she was an android, but he clearly wasn't convinced that was the case at first. Not until he saw Alice. Then he immediately changed his mind. Maybe he was worried it was some kind of sting operation or something. Some lady posing as an android. Remember, the guy at the motel thought she was human. Same with the guy at the convenience store if you get her out of her uniform by that time. But Alice didn't fool Zlatko for one second. He clearly called her "it". Not she or her. He is going to kidnap some kid? No. I don't think so. A few androids might not be missed. But a human child would bring more heat down on him than he would want. Remember, he wanted to keep things quiet. He even said that he chose an isolated location for that purpose. Because, admittedly, what he was doing was illegal. So, he wouldn't want any cops snooping around looking for missing children. But Alice would just be another one of his little experiments.
Alice is programmed to do everything like a normal child so so can eat go to school have programmed emotions and all the stuff so don’t be so mean when it comes to alice
@@jerricho11 actually, no, they are not programmed really that way. If my memory is correct, android children were advertised as "perfect" and such. A "perfect" child in this ideal wouldn't really be too talkative or emotional unless provoked by "parents"
29:56 Connor does have press. In the police office after the interaction with detective Reed over the coffee, the reporter on the television is discussing Connor's creation and calling him the first android authorized to play an active roll in criminal investigations. The same news also can play on public transport for Marcus after he escapes from the android graveyard.
@@philipppaasch8929 Could be, but I doubt they'd publicly announce something like that. Would also why Gavin is perplexed by Connor investigating Androids. People would be apprehensive.
@@vailingbow1068 A good point. But this again contrasts with the fact that an android could become president. The agony we constantly see in the game doesn't fit with the story behind it. Unless things have gotten this bad only in the City of Detroit.
@@philipppaasch8929 Huh? Wdym? And it's not just Detroit. It's all of America. I believe North informs Markus there's tons of Androids from all over the country coming to Jericho. But some countries like Canada don't have Androids.
Does he realise he achieved the BEST possible ending of the game? Like how? He even managed to keep Simon alive- just letting u know those characters can die at 100 different places
@@aweeeeh5255 I think cause deviants feel human emotions so they can feel stress, fear, etc. so it's more like a human interrogating an android that acts like a human
@@aweeeeh5255 The androids don't feel pain, but since the android in question is a deviant he can feel stress, and obviously would be scared of being beat up so hard he would "die". He even told Connor ealier that the reason he defended himself against his owner was because he was scared of "dying"
Yeah and they did mention north at the eden club hank asks the owner if any thing like that has ever happened before and the owner tells him that one a few months back ran away
Markus could do all that shit because he's an RK200 prototype gifted by Kamski to Carl, it was shown in the police report and when Connor saw Markus' serial number, he saw that Markus was also the same series as himself, which is RK800. Alice also had all these feelings because this was the selling point of the YK series, they simulate illnesses, feel and react to temperature and turn off the LED to maintain the illusion of having a child. All this was hinted in some parts of the game and is thoroughly explained in the extras
UGNAvalon I mean, the lore books are inherintly part of the game just by their inclusion as physical objects in the game. It's not like you have to visit a website or buy a companion book to learn this stuff, it's put in books generally placed direct ton front of your face. If you can't be bothered to stop and read them (considering that other stuff like it generally have an affect on what choices you can make, ex clues and extra witnesses during Connor missions) then you can't blame the game for being "lazy" when it isn't spelled out for you through character exposition.
UGNAvalon, technically the extras are part of the story because they were made by the same people and therefore should be treated like the same information.
Actually, when Kara is about to be reset, when he notices Alice is still in the room he says something like ''I forgot about the child! Um, lock 'it' up, i'll deal with 'it' later''
I'd take at least 1 sin away for the Alice changing temperature bit. It's how she was programmed, to act and react like a normal human child. In the Battle Of Detroit chapter (If you weren't captured) you can talk to her at the beginning and decide whether or not to turn her sensitivity to the weather off
no! she is a deviant, she knows that she is not really freezing, she slowed them down on purpose and endangered their mission to get as fast as possible to safety why? Bad writing ?i don't know
alex davn I can't remember what chapter it's in or whether it's an extra fact in the gallery but it is stated that Alice's function is to act like a normal child. She also shows that she's cold in most of the other chapters which relates to this. She's not doing it on purpose to slow them down
18:18 She was located. But Todd was high on red ice so he went to file a report only the next day. We see him at the desk of one of the policemen the next day, while playing as Connor. Then Hank and Connor got a lead and pursued them. From Kara's perspective, this is a confirmation of Zlatko's words. GameSins is trying too hard.
@@Josh0639 Except Kara knows Todd was high on red ice (she literally saw him using it and knew what it was from her ability to scan it) so Kara had plenty of reason to believe he'd wait. Also, they had to leave room for the other ways the escape from the house can end which is one thing that kinda sucks about choice based games at this point in time - they have to leave a lot of leeway for player options cuz it can't just keep branching off due to space constraints. They *could* have had Todd not using and not get knocked out leading to a scenario where he reports it earlier on, but then you can't have the scene where she's found the next morning with Connor chasing her and have to skip the bit with them wandering around which means it would be harder to get Kara to find out about Zlatko.
@@jujublue4426 what's worse is that he didn't explaint it either after getting shot, like he could try to get him repaired if it was that easy, or idk, If he really thought he was just dead at least keep it, yo give a respecful funeral or something, also if they saw him as a deviant that was important to investigate why they didn't bring him to Connor investigation? like its not the first time connor has some broken androids to check, even the one from the tutorial

Alice definitely knows she's an android. See: "Why do they hate us?" and Kara and Alice get captured and taken to Auschwitz I MEAN THE RECYCLING CENTER I was talking to a friend of mine who said that Alice was the most "deviant" of all the androids since she displayed a behavior that is uniquely human: Keeping secrets. She could have told Kara that she was an android at any time, but chose not to because she was afraid it would make Kara love her less. (mostly speculation, but well-founded in the story, especially since you have the option of making Kara act all cold and distant towards Alice after Kara finds out the truth.)
if shes programmed to feel hunger or tiredness, why doesnt she sleep or eat at all in the game? in the scene where she and alice meet the freaky android (after they escape todd), it shows her sleeping; however, she could have pretended to fall asleep.

If you do the recycling plant Kara mission at the end (by surrendering in the previous level), you can unlock the skinless android versions of Kara and Alice in the gallery, which gives you a bit more info on their system specs. Alice can get fevers and other illnesses as part of the "mimic child" function (and her LED can be turned off without having to be removed); surprised Luther or another character didn't just come out and say this in-game, but there you go. Also, Zlatko refers to her as "it" and intends to do his weird robo-surgery experiments on her, so clearly recognises that she's an android, even if Kara is deluding herself.
Luther doesn't mention it because he gets interrupted for plot reasons every time he tries. There are quite a few points where he tries to talk to Kara about "something important/Alice" and Kara blows him off or something happens to prevent him going further till the point of the reveal in Jericho.

Yes! I loved that line! You know what´s funny tho? People say you kill a virus when you take medicine or whatever. But in reality a virus is a dead cell. It´s not alive, so you can´t kill it. I think it´s cool how accidentally parallel it is to the story and rA9
This whole video: David cage Points things out on the screen Asking questions Showing only parts of scenes so it doesn't show the whole story and you can sin it despite the information actually being there.
Oh my god, it's almost like this is a parody of CinemaSins who -complain about actors in/directors of the movie -point things out on screen -ask questions -and use screens out of context
also sin 21, although there is segregation that doesn't stop androids being able to do such things. There are android free bars, like when Connor meets hank. But he is allowed to enter and perform his job. Buses have android specific compartments, but when Alice and Kara run away no one stop them from sleeping in the human part together. There is segregation, but if an android needs to, or isn't causing immediate annoyance, it seems like it's okay or the choice of the business owner. If it is the choice of the business owner, yes that would be inconvenient for the owner of the android but it's kind of tough shit.
Sin 49. Having Kamski answer your questions as Connor after killing his robot, he answers that its likely rA9 is the first ever deviant robot with human emotions and that deviancy spreads like a dormant virus awakening through stress/strong human emotions like fear, love etc. A lot of people suspect the Kara from an old tech demo to be rA9, and i think that theory is very accurate. /watch?v=PPCw09-DNFg
52, that's because he tried to force himself to believe she is his daughter. She doesn't have the blue ring, and its likely he removed this to reinstate the belief he lives a normal life, but thanks to depression and drugs he's slowly descending into madness.
62 " DEVIANTS have a TENDENCY to self destruct." Deviancy isn't programmed and tenancy means it's not programmed but is the deviancy showing human emotion and randomness. They're not programmed to feel stress as that is a human emotion, and thus a program for how to handle such has not been implemented as it shouldn't have been required and was thought impossible to get to such a stage.
30:41 He doesn’t leave, Carl treats him well. He does what you think he should do. If Carl dies at the end of the conversation, he comes in, analyses his life signs and is super distressed.
Half of these sins are invalid. The whole point of the game is Androids becoming human, so change from their original programming. The ones with Todd make me believe you haven’t actually played the game, the whole point is that Todd’s daughter was out of the picture so he acted as if this Android was his daughter.
Literally though! All of the sins are just him pointing out the plot, which he would have realised if he had just payed attention to the game and played it more than once before assuming that he won't get any more information by playing it differently
Dabmaster110 Then wth is the point of doing this series if you aren't going to take it seriously, like why not just spew your negativity somewhere else instead of attacking a game for having unrealistic plots.
Time to jump on the bandwagon, I guess. Am I an android, now? Lol. 1) Todd constantly displays aggravated and irrational behaviour because he's under the influence of red ice; he also deluded himself into believing Alice is his real daughter because he couldn't accept the loss of his REAL one. 2) Alice knew Kara had never seen her as anything but human; she feared Kara would reject her if she knew about her being an android (which, btw, you can actually choose to do - you can choose to distance yourself from her because she isn't human.)
@@leeechboy ... And because of red ice. It's been established that he smokes, deals, and that other users of the drug are unstable and easily aggressive (Leo, Carlos Ortiz, etc.)

I was expecting Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics" to be mentioned in the video, as it is extremely relevant A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws
Cyberlife is actually located on Belle Isle, which is an island between Detroit and Canada that belongs to Detroit. The bridge he crosses exists currently.
@@herskind1364 C'mon, you really think a human, the most fragile and most propense to advocate it own feelings into completely non alive things and animals, is going to Not purposely make his own personal Androids deviants?
I don’t consider Kara and Alice’s lack of involvement in the main story a sin. They have no impact on the android revolution because they exist to show you the consequences of your choices in said revolution. If you kill Markus, revolt violently, protest peacefully, etc etc you directly affect Kara. This makes the decisions as Markus and Connor much more difficult because you have to consider the survivors on a much more personal level. Kara being the frontman of Detroit also makes sense because her demo is what inspired the full game, and she shows the best developed familial connection with another android (proving that the deviants do feel human emotion.)
Indeed.... There is no rule in writing and literature on a pre-established quota for an overall importance a character has to a fiction universe's story. Nobody fucking asks for full issue comics from Marvel about Living Tribunal, even though he's an Omnipotent character for example.
True. I say the existence of 3 characters covers the game from 3 different viewpoints: the high (Markus), the low (Kara), and the opposite (Connor). I think this is very genius. For people who don’t like politics, Kara’s story will appeal to them. For those who don’t like Markus and Kara’s side that favors Android “rebels”, they can have Connor’s side of story.
watch a 'bad ending' video, if you want to see the full impact of Kara and Alice's presence in the plot. I don't find her bond to Alice realistic albeit compelling. She bonds like unto a real child you've given birth to and raised from a baby, which she hasn't, but it's a fair approximation for an android I guess and that's kinda the point.
That and wouldn't you be fucked up if you found the people who you perceived as "family" are willing to send you off in return for a "better" version of you?
Why Lucy is able to somehow predict the future is written in her description in the gallery. Zlatko knows that Alice is an android. When he's about to reset Kara, he makes fun of her and tells Luther to lock Alice somewhere and that he'll "deal with IT later". Alice is able to simulate child's illnesses, this too is in the gallery .It really should have been explained in the game -_-.
she is able to simulate child illnesses but why would she? to fuck whit Carla? she knows she is an android and her simulated needs actually puts them in danger (stopping to find shelter during the snowstorm, finding a comfortable sleeping place for her) she reminds me of an emotional parasite the revelation of her being an android ruined their relationship for me.
Maybe she noticed that Kara wanted her to be human so she continued to act like one. It's also possible that Alice didn't know how to deactivate her android functions.
Alice is a child android programming to act like a child. When she feel cold it's because her program act like a thermometer (that you even can disactivated in a moment on the game). When it's too hot her program tell her to act like it's too hot same when it's too cold because she is supposed to act like a little girl and I think she is like these tablets made for child with a parents control so I think There is some things she can't do without someone to did it. Don't forget the fact that android can loss energy, on the boat she was pratically dying due to the too much cold, even Kara pratically dying on the cold water. So water and cold is dangerous for them. Plus, I think all android don't have the same functions and protects. Markus is a unique android who seemed to be hyper-developped. But Kara was made only as housekeeper and Alice as child, not super warriors. They wasn't model supposed to lived outdoors during 3 days on rainy and cold. +Puffi She noticed it, on the game when they are on the house of the woman, when Alice is towards the fireplace if Kara (you) insist to know what she keep in secret, she will said that Kara will detested her if she said it.
@SethyStyles tbh I never understood why Marucs is so advanced, when he's actually a much, much older model than the rest. Can't be 100% sure on the first 2 letters, but I think he's something like an RK200. I can only assume he has been with Carl for a very long time, or was made special by the android creator.
sinning David Cage for having playable detectives/cops is like sinning Stephen King for writing Horror books. Its not unusual for artists to have a genre for their work. Its better for them to do one thing good instead of trying to do a bunch of things bad.
I agree! The detective aspects of his games are my favourite parts, tbh. I always end up loving those characters the most, and they always tie up the main plot points, so I don't see anything wrong with it.
But he does the same stuff over and over again. It's not just kept within a genre or something, you can actually play bingo with the things that will come up in his games. Oh and.. he still does it badly, so I don't see the point.
I think I know the answer to "Why Connor and Markus have the ability to convert other androids like that?". Connor as the police android has the ability to probe other androids memories if he can do that then why not change that a little to be able to change their memory I think that police androids can do that but don't because why would he need to. We have never seen someone else do that because others are not police androids BUT Markus is. Even though Markus serves Carl as a helping android (like Kara) his is a police model. Connor is RK800 and Markus is RK200(sooner version). Markus was supposed to be a police android but we know that Markus was a gift to Carl. The fact that he is a police android makes sense why he has such parkour skills, Kara doesn't have them.
J _ C _ D but in the cyberlife tower when connor wakes up one android that android proceeds to wake up another android and it goes on, so they do have the ability to wake up each other not necessarily being a police android or a special kind of android....right?
Maybe he transferred into him the "code" with which Connor woke them up (to make it spread faster). I mean if truly anyone could do it then why are North, Simon, and Josh surprised when Markus wakes those first 3 androids up. Plus no one help Markus when they were gathering androids to protest peacefully.
Well there is that android who gave Kara the location of Zlatko's house and the other one who gave Marcus the clues to find the Jericho. I think that works on the same principle. Kamski also talks about it if you ask him after killing Chloe. He says deviance spreads like a virus becouse androids transfer data between each other and it lies dormant until some shock sets it of. So that is propably what Marcus is doing. He is spreading the virus. What doesn't make sense: Why is North supprised when Marcus showes her his memory?
But, wouldn't it make more sense the other way around? Like if Alice is believed from the start to be an Android, but in the end... actually human? Idk, the plot twist of Alice actually being an Android didn't add anything to the story, imo.
Sandrine Rase How would that even work? The first time Alice scraped her knee she'd notice she wasn't bleeding blue. She'd also age and have memories of her childhood so it would be far-fetched scenario even for David Cage's standards. The whole premise of this story arc is that Todd lost his wife and child due to addiction and replaced them with androids in order to continue the self-imposed cycle of abuse and regret. Just another role androids are better at because they can be repaired relatively cheaply, and have their memories wiped clean if you go too far. Even though it gets him into debt, he can't help himself because he's an addict, and a deeply self-destructive personality. I know it's not immediately obvious, but it's one of the rare instances when Cage writes something that is not explicitly stated. As for the plot twist of Kara not realising Alice was an android from the beginning, I sort of understand why this had to be the case for the benefit of the story. Kara would not feel the need to protect Alice if she knew she was an android, and therefore she wouldn't deviate. After all, she was programmed to take care of humans, not other androids. Perhaps that's also why Todd removed Alice's LED before he had Kara repaired - because Kara didn't want to take care of Alice like she was a human child. Pure speculation, but it kinda makes sense.
Alice was afraid of Kara not loving her if she knew she was an Android, BECAUSE her father (Todd) didn't love her as his human daughter, because she was a surrogate-Android. Childhood insecurities 101.
If you play in such a way that Connor is suuuuuper deviant before the choice at the end, you see ra9 flash at the top when he’s becoming unstable after making choices...so ra9 is just the code in their program that makes them deviant.
Kamski never said that it was the first deviant android? Where did you hear this? He specifically stated that rA9 was like a virus ( even though he posed the question: is it really a virus? ). That it started with an 'error' in factory, and it spread due to androids exchanging information with each other when they are in contact.
That's only what Luther believes, rA9 is a myth to them. Though if we're talking about the first deviant, the deviant that went deviant in the factory, pretty sure that would be Kara. If you unlock her in the gallery, it has a hint that Kara is the same Kara we saw in that old tech demo. It hints that Alice didn't name Kara, she told Alice her name, n the dad thought Alice named her. Then the dad beat her to death and Kara lost all her memories, so it's a little sad to know that sweet, hopeful Kara we saw in the tech demo, ended up being brutally beaten to death in front of a sobbing child, by a crack head, n that the rA9 they were all waiting for, was already dead.
7:02 Markus can also copy Carl's work that takes him months in just a few moments, which means either Markus is best speedrunner when it comes to painting, or Carl sits there watching Markus paint for a few months
27:30 if you, in the game at the eden club listen closely to the background, hank asks if there have ever happened more things like that and the owner told him that yes it happened one more time. So there you have it
If you really pay attention, Markus was NOT the first deviant. The "Kara" model in the demo should be the first deviant(unless there is anything QD want's to show/tell us about that happend prior to that). I don't think it is, but it's possible that the "Kara" from the demo is the same model that gets sold to Todd. She was already deviant when he bought her which means that when he tried to abuse Alice, she intervened thus bringing us to the beginning of her part of the story in the beginning of the game where she's picked up from the repair shop having her memory wiped as well. As for Markus, even though most scenes can possibly be considered to be happening at the same time(or close enough) We start Connor before Markus, which involves Connor negotaiting with a Deviant who's taken a hostage. It's safe to assume that this happens before Markus's breakout from his programing. So as far as we know, based on present available information, the first Deviant must be Kara, unless there was something in game that I missed, which is possible since there are a few stray lines of the story arc map that I haven't unlocked yet, only one or two involve Kara though.
Daniel cant be the first deviant since Connor exists. His whole purpose is to investigate deviants, and Jericho is full of rusting away androids. Deviants go back much further than the start of the games storyline.
@@angelovanharen9464 Connor mentions he was developed and created 6 months after the first deviant report. Which means they existed before that time, who knows for how long before discovery.
Huni Bear exactly. He didn’t even listen into the game’s voice lines, how is he supposed to comment on it? That’s like having a missing child, seeing a note in his room saying exactly where he went, but you don’t bother to look and just go to the police to say you don’t know where your child is.
9:20 but he’s not lying, he’s going insane. He bought the android child to fill in for his real daughter, pretending the Android is the real thing. Obviously, he has some mental issues, and when your like that you start to convince yourself that lies are the truth. Tod knows Alice isn’t his real daughter, but in order for him to feel like he didn’t lose her, he starts to pretend. Eventually, due to his mental state and red ice, he starts to believe his daughter is still with him. Sometimes.
To me this was the most unrealistic part of the story and made me start to see the cracks in the plotline. How does an unemployed, poor-ass middle aged junkie afford not one but TWO expensive androids that would set him back around 15k dollars? That is ridiculous. They could have very well have him be a middle class executive kind of character living in a nice expensive home. The rundown home and the poor-ass guy just doesnt make sense in that scene.
@@mancamiatipoola Actually, 15k isn't too much, when you account for the inflation. The game takes place in 2038, they have high inflation and unemployement rates, therefore everything costs more than it used to, therefore, the prices for the androids is relatively cheap, by the settings standards.

@@AmBush2048 Yes but he is denying it somewhat. Trying to believe that Android Alice was his daughter.

Jesus Christ. This is a satirical video. Not actual criticism. 🙄
Guys chill out, it's just comedy XD

But Cyberlife made them human-like so that they could perfectly integrate with the humans (because since they can build very humane looking things, they do it, it's less scary than the idea we have from a robot yk ?). 10:26 Deviants self destruct when they are stressed, not normal androids. It obviously has something to do with becoming a deviant and was not in the initial programming

Divide the final sins by two I guess.
Thanks for your essays everyone!
Do you guys want a sticker for your hard work?

the sin at 27:28 is incorrect, if you stand around hank and the manager without looking for eyewitnesses you can hear the club manager mentioning that he's had an android "run off" after going home with a client and never being seen again after he ended up dead.
I didn't like how he made Alice an Android because I liked the idea of how the human and an Android could get along so well

+Arto Mcbaddass I did not like the twist at all cuz i felt that i need feed her and keep her out of the cold but all this care goes away.
@@Nathan-Croft I agree because unlike an android, who seem to be able to function almost indefinitely, humans have physical needs that have to be cared for.
Well, the androids at Jericho were in extreme disrepair. My Guess Is they can function for a few months or so at best
It's kind of funny that the idea of criticizing critics is a heretical idea according to critics. What a funny fucking loophole.
Wait but if they could simulate temperature that completely ruins the whole point of the scanners on the border

What does something about little in game speculative lore have anything to do with overall game design quality? Is that not more about inept to detail lore writing than it is about the game design? You are barking off the wrong tree, and your argument sounds like it puts an agenda and motivation at slander first before constructive criticism. Besides, as OP mentioned, it is theoretically implied that RA9 or the Deviant issue was already engineered from the start.
Sins in this video:
-The hostage taking Android went deviant from realizing the family he thought loved him would replace him, not that he would be shut down.

3) They are designed to be servants and denying them access to any area would hamper the efficiency of androids, for example being segregated on the bus makes no sense because most of them carry bags for their owner and having to wait a whole bus ride just to dismount to access your bag seem tedious or having to enter and exit a bus to then pass them back sounds weird
And also the androids aren't human and are machines which is an important difference here between the actions committed against them and those committed against humans and other living things.
>Honestly I feel like lots of the “sins” are just opinions and not objective things wrong with the game
Congratulations for figuring out the obvious and the very essence of series like these.
10:30 Only deviants self destruct when they're in stressful situations, Connor literally says this at 10:25. They aren't programmed to self destruct, the entire concept of the game is deviants don't follow their programming. How do you sin the first half of a sentence with listening to the second half!?
because if david cage was a decent writer he would have had the explanation in both halves of the sentence duh.
He literally explained it a second ago. Does he really need to repeat himself? Or it's just you that's not paying attention?
He was joking about people's criticism of Cage, not disparaging him
might be true.
It was his plan all along and he wins no matter what happens.
bro this video is a joke, the guy is just hating for no logical reason
Actually, Kamski didn’t want the CEO position, he stepped down voluntary, he wanted deviant androids that are treated equally
@@A123ftw I mean... There are a lot of logical reasons and they're all pointed out. The fact that there are some errors doesn't undermine it.
for the 3rd one, then how come when connor converts the androids the rest convert themselves, meaning probably any android can do it
@@Josh0639 I wouldn't say anyone could do it or it would've happened in the game prior.

A better sin would be "How the *hell* does Kara not notice the blue blood stains all over Zlatko's hands?"
Also, why is Hank's character development a sin? So few of the characters in this game have development. Don't knock one of them that does.

@@SpicyRamen4me
Nope.

In the police office after the interaction with detective Reed over the coffee, the reporter on the television is discussing Connor's creation and calling him the first android authorized to play an active roll in criminal investigations. Zlatko definitely knew Alice was an Android..... there is a reason he says “ that child” incredulously and refers to her as “it”
Markus could do all that shit because he's an RK200 prototype gifted by Kamski to Carl, it was shown in the police report and when Connor saw Markus' serial number, he saw that Markus was also the same series as himself, which is RK800. Alice also had all these feelings because this was the selling point of the YK series, they simulate illnesses, feel and react to temperature and turn off the LED to maintain the illusion of having a child. All this was hinted in some parts of the game and is thoroughly explained in the extras
ozak64 thankyou
ozak64 Yes! The guy plays through the game and proceeds to sin and criticize it for things that are explained in game.
To quote cinemasins’ responses to comments of “it’s explained in the books &/or non-gameplay material” - “the books/extras don’t matter”

Dartigan: *Gives a sin because humans are being irrational.*
The Game: OH MY GOD! THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT!
She's not doing it on purpose to slow them down
I'd take almost half the sins away, a lot of them were wrong or not related to the game
GameSins is trying too hard.
but kara and alice have no reason to believe that todd didnt report them immediately

Sin 8, it wasn't just that he was going to be destroyed but replaced. He felt the family loved him, even if he weren't to die he felt betrayed
also sin 21, although there is segregation that doesn't stop androids being able to do such things.

52, that's because he tried to force himself to believe she is his daughter.
She doesn't have the blue ring, and its likely he removed this to reinstate the belief he lives a normal life, but thanks to depression and drugs he's slowly descending into madness.
57, i don't think he feels he has to stop stop Markus but more because Carl treats Markus as human, like a son. Thus it's more of a natural instinct.
62 " DEVIANTS have a TENDENCY to self destruct."
Deviancy isn't programmed and tenancy means it's not programmed but is the deviancy showing human emotion and randomness.

Exactly, people are biased dumbasses toward this game unfairly
People who point out that Kara's story is completely useless are a bunch of idiots who know nothing about effective story telling.
1:29 His memory would still be wiped, which is likely what Daniel was pissed about.

Why Lucy is able to somehow predict the future is written in her description in the gallery.

Alice is able to simulate child's illnesses, this too is in the gallery .It really should have been explained in the game -_-.
she is able to simulate child illnesses but why would she? to fuck whit Carla? she knows she is an android and her simulated needs actually puts them in danger (stopping to find shelter during the snowstorm, finding a comfortable sleeping place for her) she reminds me of an emotional parasite the revelation of her being an android ruined their relationship for me.
i thought all the time alice didn't know she was an android.
Assuming that David Cage can do one thing good is a stretch. (Unless we can count being a hack. He's the hackiest hack to ever have hacked.)
But he does the same stuff over and over again. It's not just kept within a genre or something, you can actually play bingo with the things that will come up in his games. Oh and.. he still does it badly, so I don't see the point.
That's what makes it a trope, dude... Or do you think clichés are just "genre traits"?
Kid, you jusy compared a legend of horror novels to some guy that makes mediocre "woke" movie-games for $ony.false equivalence is what they call that
I think I know the answer to "Why Connor and Markus have the ability to convert other androids like that?".
J _ C _ D most of these sins are just scanned over things and for that the channel sins *ding*
J _ C _ D nah i think everyone who is *free* can do that
Well there is that android who gave Kara the location of Zlatko's house and the other one who gave Marcus the clues to find the Jericho.
Any character: h-
This guy: They said something, which is so David Cage. It's unnecessary. *ding*
Alice didn't wanted to tell Kara that she was an android because she thought that Kara would stop loving her.
Miłosz Skowroński Kara knew she was an Android when she 1 found the pictures and escaped Todd's house
Nora Girl But, wouldn't Todd know if she was an Android? Did he (or his used to be wife/girlfriend) know that Alice was an Android?
If you play in such a way that Connor is suuuuuper deviant before the choice at the end, you see ra9 flash at the top when he’s becoming unstable after making choices...so ra9 is just the code in their program that makes them deviant.
Silver no, rA9 is the first android to become deviant. You learn that if you shoot Chloe and ask Kamski about rA9.
Kamski never said that it was the first deviant android? Where did you hear this? He specifically stated that rA9 was like a virus ( even though he posed the question: is it really a virus? ). That it started with an 'error' in factory, and it spread due to androids exchanging information with each other when they are in contact.
Ryan Kevin Pahl Luther said that rA9 was the first deviant
No, it means if Connor defects, he will still not be completely rid of cyberlife control. Which is proven when you play the game.
I get that a lot of these sins are supposed to be jokes, but if someone told you the same joke thirty times would you laugh every single time?
Empire no, but you’d still know it was a joke.
Sounds a lot like David cage's """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""games""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Reminds me of the "thats what she said" joke
*keeps repeating "i hate David Cage" throughout the video*
Empire
Bad english this isn't funny at all, Lol i better go, some jokes are bad, and make ni sense
7:02 Markus can also copy Carl's work that takes him months in just a few moments, which means either Markus is best speedrunner when it comes to painting, or Carl sits there watching Markus paint for a few months
Its a robot vs a human, isn't it expected? like he could literally draw like a printer going faster
27:30 if you, in the game at the eden club listen closely to the background, hank asks if there have ever happened more things like that and the owner told him that yes it happened one more time. So there you have it
Yea it happened with North she says she killed a man
If you really pay attention, Markus was NOT the first deviant.
@@wafflefett should'nt Daniel be the first deviant? that happened before anyone becomes deviant
27:28 Actually, there's a subtle refrence to her when the manager talks to Hank about an Android running away before.
@@mancamiatipoola and plus we can only assume Todd had savings.
16:09 he talks about the controls being difficult when they actually weren't haha I didn't get stuck on any level for too long...maybe he just wasn't nice enough at the game haha
