This video is outrageously close to what I experienced when I graduated in May. Back in middle school, I was obsessed with games like Rocket League to the point where it was essentially the only thing I did outside of school. I played that game so much to the point that I got Top 100 and had about 6,000 hours in the game (it was also funnily enough where I made my first real money from tournaments). When high school came around and more pressure on academics were made, I dropped Rocket League completely and spent the next 4 years getting Valedictorian at my school. Looking back on it now, I can safely say I regret spending so much time on academics instead of personal projects. It felt like I spent so much time trying to please other people instead of doing things which were more intrinsically motivated. I know many people who have done things similar to you, such as my best friend who dropped out of high school to pursue his endeavors as well. Don't worry too much about what others may think about you for your decisions, as you should focus on what you think is best instead of what others believe. Best of luck with everything and keep going 🙂
Top 100 in middle school is insane god damn. Also much respect to your friend who dropped out. I couldn't imagine doing that myself haha. Good luck with your projects as well
I really recommend you go and stay in contact with your friends. Once you purposeful isolate yourself from people for a while, it really hard to get back into making relationships. I was the same as you a couple years, isolating myself to forces only on the thing i thought would bring my successes. But that only lead to a snowball effect of me falling more and more behind and out of contact. Not having any people you can contact for help is really tuff.
I definitely see that, the loneliness has makes me want to procrastinate even more. Although I haven’t talked to any to friends lately, connecting online has been alright for me. As long as they aren’t pulling you away right :>
Me too; I just graduated high school this year. I'm going to a local community college right now. I want to work on animation and my art, but I procrastinate. TH-cam and game addiction made it worse. I felt so ashamed that I didn't want to go to college and make minimal progress toward my goal. Maybe you can try a community college to find out what you like; I'm only taking two classes and have time to work. I can transfer to a four-year state university for animation.
@frillren about college? I just feel what the hell I'm doing here and how I got here. It gets exhausting but I heard many people tell about fun stories they have had in college. Anyways it's important for me to get that degree. I will update you later about it if you wanna know.
@@AKSHAY-qt8oj I remember always wondering if I'd go to college as well back then. Honestly the "fun" college stories have been overhyped for me 😞.The late-night exam cramming absolutely drains my soul half the time, especially when I sometimes don't get home until 11:00pm because of some poorly-timed exams. Best of luck finishing this semester at least 🙃
@Seecretxs sounds tough man. But for me college is the first step to be independent. I don't wanna stay with parents always and try exploring different places. And exams sure are a pain in the b.
As someone who actually just got into highschool, I am very excited. I got into an international program and I’m excited for what I’ll learn here. I still don’t know what I want to do for my career yet, but I do know that I want to improve my art. I’ve been drawing for over 2 years now, and even though I do it mostly for my own enjoyment, I still take it seriously. I want to inspire people to create art. Also, i think I might’ve said this in another comment, but I’ll say it again, your art improvement is actaully insane.
An international program does sounds like a lot of fun! I may have put too much shade on school work, but if you go into it with the intent to learn, it ain't that bad LOL. On the art side, might have gotten lucky with this drawing, but love how it turned out either way. Glad you see it that way though :>
Usually have a solution or experience I want to share, make an outline, and then slowly add to the script based on the outline. 3-4 visits usually gets the script done. Then I just read it word for word lol.

@@frillren Tyty, I plan on doing some content creation once my Thanksgiving break begins tomorrow. Best of luck again
Being told what to do and just being swarmed with homework as an excuse to not improve yourself is so real 😭 school sucks bc of that :/

Interesting viewpoint. I took college so many things are different from your perspective.
But one thing we both agree on ***School suck***
What do you think about it so far?

ah I see. I definitely think it works differently because you live across the world LOL but I getcha. Tell me more later!

Is it too late to start TH-cam in college?
