@@matthewchunk3689Those trust fund babies in many cases were also exposed to a higher standard of education, culture, and expectation throughout their formative years, compared to average state school students. And then there are those truly gifted students from the public school system who achieve admission to an Ivy on an academic scholarship. Hate to rain on all this “fanfare for the common man” but the top .1% of academic achievers actually have a lot going for them. Surprise

I'm leaving room for nuance, but you must prove your claims. It's a fact that the Jews have had unfair advantages in Europe historically, and then the US as Jews migrated to the US. Yet Jews outside of the Ashkenazi have no advantage over any other group, it is strictly European Jews who have outperformed other peer groups similarly situated. Does that mean that European Jews have a separate culture from non-European Jews? It's an interesting question, with an obvious answer of yes, ultimately.
So we have to look at Jews in Europe as a unique group, and examine their backgrounds. What we find are several major advantages Jews had, until the early 19th century at least. The first is medieval Jews alone could engage in banking during the Middle Ages in Europe, causing many of their families to become extravagantly wealthy. Then, Jews alone could manage the slave trade in much of Europe, when it became illegal for most Christians to handle slave sales, which is why Jews historically created and ran most of the slave trade through Eastern and Central Europe. Finally, as the Christian slave trade became illegal, and only Slavs were available for sale (hence the word "Slavery") those Eastern European Slavs were sold to the Ottomans and other Islamic empires, which is why Christians also could not participate, Jews handled most of Europe's slave trade for over half a millennium. On top of this, most trade routes for things other than slaves that went into Islamic territories were closed to Christians, allowing only Jews to trade, once again.
Of course, any group so situated would become quite wealthy, and the Jews inevitably did. So then the question becomes, "Would a similarly wealthy group, with similar genetic traits, become comparably well accomplished". Well, it turns out this question is easier to answer than we'd think. IQ is primarily a genetic trait (70% heritability approximately, according to most studies) followed by cultural capital as the next deriving source.
Jews are in fact Northern Europeans, concerning the Ashkenazi genetically. So it's down to culture. Let's compare the Ashkenazi, to wealthy Germans, or wealthy English people (or in America, Wealthy Anglo-Saxon Protestants), WASPS
What we find are that such groups ALSO perform quite well. Jews do well compared to the average person, but not much better than other similarly wealthy, and thus, well educated people. Additionally, and this is a very important point, if Jewish culture alone, not education/wealth plays such an important role, we should expect Jews who do not come from wealthy backgrounds to also perform very well. We do not see that, on average. Jews who are normal middle to lower class individuals, often remain there for generations, so of course it is certain types of Ashkenazi, with certain types of cultural backgrounds and opportunities who do well.
I'm not saying they're bad, or that Jews are simply engaged in nepotism. But the reality is that there has in recent years been a myth of Jewish superiority, not unlike Nazi beliefs in Aryan superiority. In reality, Jews are a small wealthy subset of Northern Europeans, and perform as well as other's similarly situated, based on a variety of historical social factors.
While they perform quite well in many areas, they do not perform better than other's similarly situated. If you go to Harvard, Jewish or WASP individuals will often come from a long line of wealthy families to go there, and both will have families full of doctors and lawyers, and they will have many accomplishments in their backgrounds. It happens. Don't buy into the propaganda.
As far as nepotism is concerned, it obviously exists. I've known plenty of white families in general, Jewish and otherwise. Especially among WASPS. They favor each other, give special benefits, etc. I went to college with a girl (girlfriend, briefly) with a German family history, who spent a lot of time growing up around other wealthy families. We broke up after a few months of going out, and I can say that she was young, naive, and not very good in school. I helped her with assignments for several years, even before we dated. Her grades were a full GPA point below mine in a similar major.
I got out of school in a state with a very bad economy. I got to work as a security guard, despite my strong academic record. She graduated, and was immediately given a mid-level management position at a top 3 national insurance company based in my state. That's simply how it works now. People with contacts get opportunities, and those without generally don't. Jews generally have contacts.
