The Ole Man hits another round of bad luck and I am going to get my 1967 Ford Galaxie up and going again. I have thought it not wise to let my cars sit and collect dust and rust. Our channel is about Bringing Life to Dead Things... not Giving them life to place them back into their grave. The Carburetor is acting up. Their is a vacuum leak and all kinds of other old Ford issues. Will this car start back up to easily? Will the Ole Man be upset or go with the flow on this video? All these questions answered on this episode of RevStoration.

I'm remembering now that I resolved to never drive without a chemical fire extinguisher. And the ones that are the bigger size, not one the size of an energy drink. I'm a shady STM myself.
Years ago, a neighbor's taking-kids-to-school car pool ride drove up and there was what looked like steam coming from under the hood. The driver, a middle aged mom got her kids out and stood by looking confused. And the neighbor (a notoriously volatile character on our street) and his family just stood around looking disinterested. The steam or smoke got worse. I dragged the building's garden hose out to the street, opened the hood, and there was a moderate fire. I put it out. The fire department came and smothered the now-out fire with foam a couple of minutes later. The damage was only to the wiring and rubber, but it was so full of wires and hoses, I suspect that car was never on the road again. It would have been a heck of a job just to scrub that foam off.
It was just a commuter sedan, but I still feel bad seeing a running car die in front of me.
Wow, sorry to see your dad's truck caught fire. I am glad they are okay! One thing I always carried in my classic cars was a fire extinguisher. I have heard many stories of classics catching fire, so I figured it couldn't hurt.

The Galaxie is a favorite of mine. I grew up riding in a 67 Ranch Wagon. By the time I was learning how to drive , a quarter million miles had taken it's toll. The 289 (rebuilt once) was the only good part on it.
I still love the front end and the dash of the 1967s. A fastback or convert would be great. Or maybe even a wagon ?

Nobody’s hurt and in the hospital. That in itself is a blessing. Sometimes I think the Lord allows us to lose material things just to remind us of the precious things that moths can’t corrupt and thieves can’t steal.
I'm glad no one was hurt and I know things have some meaning to them and it is sad that ole man is having a hard time but life sometimes brings us these types of things in life. I know God's got you and and all your family Ole man. I will pray for all of y'all just keep your head up I'm sure tough times have come your way but your still going. I'm glad you got the fuel system sorted. This generation of full-size Fords was advertised to be "quieter than a Rolls-Royce". I'm sure they came close at least.

Hi, tell your Dad to keep his spirits up. God will take care of everything. I had the same problem. I replaced the gas tank in a ford falcon and rebuilt the carb, and replaced the fuel pump. The problem was the fuel line was send rust and dirt through the old fuel line. I replaced the fuel line and it took care of the problem.
I'm sorry for the loss your dad has been through.
I wish I still had my 1967 ford Galaxie 500. Mine had the 390 police interceptor engine with Holly 4 barrel carb. It was a 4 door also. Love them tail lights. Especially at night. Miss my car. Keep up good work boss.

Those Galaxy’s are a pretty heavy car,I thought it would have 360 or a 390 in her Rev! Don’t get me wrong I love the 289 but I would’ve figured it would be a larger motor in it! My X brother in law had a Galaxy 500 convertible and it had a 390 in it, that’s why I was asking my friend! My best to JC and Reagan in the new school year! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 send prayers for them too! Had a volvo that caught on fire and burned up along with the barn it was in. Gramps had a fuel leak and went and parked it in the barn and and 30min later whoosh the whole place went up like a roman candle. Lucky no one was injured. Barn leveled and volvo charred brisket. Just thank u God that old man and moms there didnt get hurt.🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍

This has been the year of car fires. George Donners truck he had upgraded completely burned. Ken Coats rat rod and his truck both burned and now your Dad's. Thank God everyone got out before the fire really got going. I can only say we are tested every day and God gives us a wake up call every so often. Good people are always tested it seems. Now did your Ole Man say it was a really hot truck and he was going to have a fire sale? Thank you for the video and for your ole man keeping his head in a crises.

I know they may not seem the same, but ive gone through this with my small engine side hustle. New carb, filter and clean gas and still wont run very long. Tuens out to be the rubber fuel line. Gas breaks down the inside and fills the float bowl with black crud. You mentioned that inlet line was crusty. Thats my take, Rev. Good video
It would still have to get through the filter.. filter failure makes for a long day.

Need an ultrasonic cleaner with as many carburetors as you work on. I don't remember which channel I saw it on but the fella got an ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight for just over $100 and well over a year later it's still working great. Prayers for your daddy 🙏
