You and your father are testament to people that don't give up. Was a little bit sad when you guys were not on for a while, but so glad that you are back now.. now, I got to get down there cuz I want to see you and meet you and the old man (obviously at the church) . Keep pushing and thank you for doing what you do
You guys are always a joy to watch. This channel has been a blessing, you guys are good people and that's awesome. It took care of a few problems and I certainly hope you can figure out the valve train issue. I watched your service last Sunday and this morning on Facebook. I especially enjoyed your singing Rev. Keep up the great work guys and may God bless you all ✌️🇺🇲
Hey Rev, I shared this with one other channel. If you ever need to reuse a copper crush washer, hold it with a pair of pliers and heat the washer up until it's red hot, and while it's red hot, drop it in cold water, this will fatten up the washer, and it will not leak.
Watched one of your sermons. You were dressed up looking dapper . My step daddy had one of those when he married my mother. His Ford, two kids,200 bucks and a set of encyclopedias was all he had. I liked the Ford . LOL. They made a overhead oiling kit for those early engines . Two ants on the ARK. Watch where you step.
57 ford my dream car wanted one since I was 12 years old ,reminds me of my dad he had a blue one when I was around 6years old . Told myself I was gonna have one one day . 58 years old now and now disabled because of arthritis issues and not able to work anymore . The dream is dead now so just watch y'all lucky guys work on yours .so do her right fix her up nice . Enjoy your videos.
Lotsa folks diss them Fram filters. I used them for over 50 years and never had a problem. I never went past 3000 miles on a change. That was my experience.
Hey Rev great to see you and The Ole Man working on this old girl! I did not know that this engines has a oiling problem so I learned something new! So say hello to Ms.Nikki T and your daughter and have a blessed day!!
I look forward to this every Sunday! You have a wonderful family!! God Bless! Can't wait for Part Deux!! Please blow out all that tree stuff under the hood! I'd hate to see it catch!!
It really is good to see you Eev and the Ild Man back at it I mean TH-cam just ain’t the same without you I mean the other guys are like fast food chains and you and the old man are authentic so keep em comin and may God Bless “DEUCES”
David. Rev. Old man. Me and my deddy worked on old cars like y'all and said many foul words at each other just like y'all. I love y'all and can't wait til next week. From Alabama Roll Tide!
Rev a mod for the rocker oiling was to remove the oil return tubes, then tap the holes for 1/8” pipe plugs. That way it forces the oil out to the rockers.
Thanks for the back-to-back Fairlane videos, Rev! You and The Old Man are just having way too much fun. But having brakes is seriously a good thing, and you'd never known about the hi-kwalitee water pump if you hadn't installed that freeze plug. Hope to see the pushrods and passenger side oiling working in the next one. Y'all take care!!
Hey David just to let you know I'm turkey bass that works excellent if the bulb comes loose a hose clamp That's what I used to use God bless to you and your family
Ain't nothing wrong with a frame oil filter, I've run many cars and trucks with them in 40 some odd years never had trouble had 200,000 and300,000 miles on them, so people that bad mouth fram oil filters don't know what they are talking about, enjoy your videos keep up the good work.
God has surely Blessed you to find a Woman like Nicky T to put up with you. Love your videos and honesty. Keep up the Good work and thanks for the all the king words of wisdom.
Great video again guys.. I have a question for you both.. Why don't yous sell one of those many cars there to Derek Bieri and have him come down and have a cross over show?? Just a thought.. :) Tony
Send him a message.. Spring is coming and he will probably start buying more toys.. I would like to see him there with you and your dad.. now that would be a million view video for sure..
That water pump ant leaking near as much, ya and the catfish are all 75lbs. lol thanks for another fun video, still waiting on the theme song to revisit.
God bles you and you family for doing what you do with the cars and having fun doing it I live in Puerto Rico and I love each one but most of all me and my family go to church too
The rocker assembly oils through a port at one of the rocker shaft stands. The oil comes from one of the cam bearings. To clean the passage, you need to pull the rocker assemblies. You will see that one of the flats on the head where the rocker stand bolts has a passage that goes to the cam.
Yeaaaaah!! I'm SO glad to see you guys are still at it man! I remember watching one of your videos a couple years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it so much! I can't remember what car it was, it actually might of been this one, you were literally rescuing it from somewhere in the country it has foliage all over it but you got it running! Haha! Love your videos! And I LOVE Georgia! I lived there 3x in the 80s and totally miss it and it's good people. 👍👌😆‼️
Love you all and God is first then family and I love 1957 Fords they were definitely nicer looking than any GM products that year and won more races that year.
We the content since day 1. Can't wait to watch Sunday service also. Always scared you both are going to launch a vehicle off your platform and into the river.. lol Thought for sure somebody would have drank some brake fluid out of a hose!! Not good tasting, I know from past experience
You two work well together. I hope you are cleaning all those pine needles and combustible stuff out from around the engine before you go running around. Fire waiting to happen.
Excellent video Rev :) , Ole Man :) , Nicky T :) , Reagen also don't feel bad get parts on day or time on list get fast and have happened to me before to ! But also on certain parts think ones make need see old one on blue prints and so line perfect on bolt up not off measurements!
What happens on the y block is the cam bearings spin and shuts off the oil to the valve train. There is an outside oiler available. Or used to be. Hope this helps.
David I agree on putting some dinosaurs in that engine in fact when you change the oil again like Vice Grip Garage I’d run conventional Shell Rotella 15w40 in that Y block V8 with the flat tappet cam and lifters.
I think I understand my dad say one time them old Y blocks where bad to spin the cam bearing and cut the oil off to the valve train I could be wrong but I think them were the engines he was talking about
Rev and the Old Man and Sunday afternoon. God must Love us.
He does and even said so in His Word!
Amen!
Good Jop
Where are you? Is dad okay?

I can't wait to see the old school Ford Fairlane American Muscle Car history, Like a Hot Rod.
Those old Y blocks will squeak when the ports get clogged-love you guys-peace and love!

Hello Rev and the ole man
I am glad I found your channel. Yall are in my back yard so to speak. I am in lamar county but have family on the south river.
The rocker assembly oils through a port at one of the rocker shaft stands. The oil comes from one of the cam bearings. To clean the passage, you need to pull the rocker assemblies. You will see that one of the flats on the head where the rocker stand bolts has a passage that goes to the cam.
Here you are again. Glad to see you and I hope you have a wonderful day!
