I think a lot of it has to do with the female (presumably) being closer to the mic, which makes her more audible. The way he plays a background melody that stands out more than the main melody, blends so well with the rest of the vocals and has so much movement going on in it, as well as having the light and relaxed tone he does, is absolutely delightful to listen to. That's because the music in Totk is better than the already beautiful music of Botw , I am an Egyption who loves Zelda too and enjoys Maytree's rendition of its music.
