    The key here is to maintain a low profile. CDL life is literally too big of a target in every area of the industry. They seen you coming. Everyone's gonna get a piece of you.
    Drive cargo vans. And you'll remain beneath the radar. Avoid all the extra overhead, and equipment expenses. Drive anywhere you want, and keep more of your hard earned money!

    I got training to drive an 18 wheeler, paid my own way. Got hired and did dry van and flatbed (try tarping at -10f), ... got trained to do reefer but never used it. Did 6 months OTR, only went home maybe once a month for the weekend.
    Driving a semi is fun, loved it. Didn't even get bothered by the 4 wheelers but what killed it for me was the regulations... sleep times, break times, weight stations, DOT stops, truck stops always full, electronic logs, cameras watching everything... it was all a pain in the ass. Stopped doing it.

      This is exactly why I stopped driving a semi after a year. The many nuisances to deal with in comparison to the pay is not worth it

    Hi I’m Rony I liked your video and your m thinking in buying a sprinter I never did this but I know if I do it I want to be an Owner Operator, if you don’t mind can I ask you a couple of questions;
    • Do you need or have your LLC?
    • Comercial insurance is required?
    • Besides my van and driver license what else I need as far documents or licenses?
    • I’m in California, how you get loads or what you recommend to do?
    • Are you required by dispatcher or costumer to load or unload the cargo?
    • How you get paid as an owner operator by mile? by weight loud? Or both?
    • how much you paid per week if you manage to drive 1,500 miles from pint A to point B with cargo? Because it’s m guessing drivers don’t get paid to go and pick up load or wait for load.
    Thank you and sorry for all these questions

    one thing u need to survive on the road for a long time is street smarts , u need to have a good sense to know when u are in a dangerous area or to see a random situation and know to stay away , i call it avoiding dumshit and its everywhere , being on the road is a chess game and u have to assess a situation and see it 3 or 4 moves ahead , theres lots of decisions you have to make but i guess being without the restriction of regulation u could pick and choose more what u see and deal with , as a trucker sometimes u end up in some real nasty places and cant leave cuz your out of time

I was thinking about buying a sprinter van and started my own business just like you. My biggest fear is how I am going to find loads. Can you guide me to it or leave me your contact so I can reach out to you and if possible I can pickup loads that you want me delivered. Please need some guidance. God bless.

      You will need to sign up and lease onto a dispatch company that will get freight for you. Doing it on your own is near impossible with driving and trying to book freight it's just not recommend. Better to be with a known carrier that brokers know vs a newbie that nobody knows and can't trust. It's all about relationships in expediting.

    • @Eagle-Xpress
      @Eagle-Xpress  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's bad because there's so much competition there. There's more freight coming in vs going out from there. That's why there's not enough freight for everyone to get out and rates get cut hardcore just to get freight out. There's also lots of local competition as well.

      @@Eagle-Xpress no PC stops your clock but when you're on your 10 hr break PC works with your on break. Example: you shutdown you go off duty and you drop your trailer and BT to the beach or Restaurant even entertainment you go in PC and drive there then go back off duty while you are there you are still on your 10 break. Then when you're done you go back to PC to drive to the truck stop or wherever you want . PC allows to you to do what you want while on break just that simple 😀
