In California, progressive dosen't give you comercial insurance for 1 mil and 100k with unlimited miles if you don't have at least 1 year in business and manage to sustain 1 year insurance (1 mil and 100k ) from whatever insurance company, I learnt that in hard way .

You should show people how to find good loads in there vans, I think that’s what most viewers want to know, and that’s what most people ask me, and I’m always willing to help, most people don’t want to show other drivers how to do that because they think it’s hurting them, I have been in this industry for only 6 months and I met this older gentleman and he showed me the way how to find a the best freight, I’m so greatful that I met him, for all the van drivers out there, try not to work for a carrier and get your own authority and try to find your own loads. Everybody out there be safe.

I ran a progressive quote without cargo with 1 million coverage for around $6,000 a year. I have been trying to link up under your authority. I called around and one company will carry the cargo insurance but I have to run exclusively with them and put their company branding on the van.

@@nak8327 you have to call around and search online for carriers with authority. I did hours of research to find that company and called and spoke to a few people to understand how they work. They are out there but you need to research. One company was trying to take 40% with me having to carry all insurance. Another company wants 17% and they carry the cargo insurance. They have some good connections in the auto industry. Very few if any people on here will disclose carrier info because of the competition. Put in some hours, compile a list of cargo van carriers, and start calling them. Wishing you the best.

Every driver I have seen talk about van size suggest getting the tallest and longest you can afford. Popular would be Sprinter extended high roof (I think 192 inches cargo area able to take 4 pallets and biggest van you can get) and Ford Transit extended (170 inches able to take 3 pallets). So i guess the answer is get the biggest van you can afford. Threw watching these videos I have heard it suggested that getting shorter than the biggest might cut your bid/contract options to 75% of possible loads, so if you want the most possible loads to bid on the largest Mercedes sprinter van is the best option if you can afford it.
