Excellent material, as always. Small observation: 我经常去公园散步 at 3:09 does not mean "I often walk to the park" but "I often go to the park to take a walk (to walk around)." "I often walk to the park would be expressed as 我经常步行到公园. The verb 步行 means "to walk (to get somewhere)," as in "walk TO the park." But 散步 means to "walk around (without any specific destination in mind)" as in "walk IN the park."
You are one of the best and prettiest Mandarin teachers. You look sad in this one, and you generally look happy. If you felt sad I hope you feel better. I watch your videos all the time. XIE XIE NIN LAO SHI!

Yeah, the HSK videos were our first videos and we did them, without any budget, with little video production experience, in a cramp 30 square foot apartment and next to the busiest street in the town we lived in at that time. So the sound on a portion of them was not professional. But it would be unfair to characterize ALL our HSK sound as "horrible". Only about 15 (out of 83 videos) are not good and the rest are very tolerable or sound okay. Of course, we are not happy with the results (we spent hundreds of hours producing them) and have frequently debated whether to take all the HSK videos off TH-cam. However we now feel that they have some good educational value because no one on TH-cam have done such a comprehensive review of all HSK vocabulary with free supporting supplementary material (including free mp3s) on a website. Of course, if you are willing to pay, there are many professionally produced options. In brief, despite their obvious shortcoming, the overall HSK series is quite unique because it is VERY COMPREHENSIVE BUT STILL FREE and will help students - especially if they study with our free website flashcards that were developed to help students drill the HSK videos' content.... By the way, the free flashcards are also another unique aspect of our HSK Vocabulary program.
Hello Paolo 下面我就来尽量回答你的问题: 1. You're right about "才“ , 在你给出的例句中,它的意思就是“only after that” 。 2. 这个你也对了! 3. ”一直“ 和”总是“, 当它们表示 ”always“的时候是一样的意思,但是”一直“的意思也可以是 "constantly" "all the way" and so on. So these two words can be the same SOMETIMES, yet "一直” has more meanings than the "总是“
Hi Connor, there was nothing wrong with the microphone. It was actually high quality. However, the HSK video series was one of our first video project and recorded in the noisiest part of the city we lived in at the time. So to overcome this background noise, the microphone gain was set very high which resulted in the audio occasionally getting distorted. We probably should not have done the videos under those circumstances but what is done is done. We not very happy with the result but do feel the occasional bad audio does not detract from the overall educational value of these videos. We since have since moved from that place and the audio quality has greatly improved. Check out, for example our Literal Translation series: th-cam.com/video/hbFZkkv_a8A/w-d-xo.html

These are so great and you have so many of them. But the audio sounds horrible.

Yes it is. Hope you will subscribe, Positive Learner!
Yup already subscribed :D
Love to Watch your video :)
Laoshi Can you tell me which things are included in HSK3 grammar?
Hi Positive Learner, you might find this source very helpful:
resources.allsetlearning.com/chinese/grammar/Grammar_points_by_level
Thanks a lot. :)
老师 非常感谢, 你的视频很好。请问,我有一些问题:
1. “才”的意思也是“only after that。。。” , 比如:我们回家,才你可以吃饭。Is it correct?
2. "马上“ 的意思也是”immediately“? 比如: 马上来!
3。 ”一直“和”总是“ 是不是一样?
谢谢你,拜拜。
Hello Paolo
下面我就来尽量回答你的问题:
1. You're right about "才“ , 在你给出的例句中,它的意思就是“only after that” 。
2. 这个你也对了!
3. ”一直“ 和”总是“, 当它们表示 ”always“的时候是一样的意思,但是”一直“的意思也可以是 "constantly" "all the way" and so on.
So these two words can be the same SOMETIMES, yet "一直” has more meanings than the "总是“
Mandarin Corner 好,谢谢你!
Think you might of just save me From failing uni
thank you T_T
💚👍😊

一直, 一共, 一定 的声调写错了。
所有的“一”我们都以标准的声调标注的,但是这个字比较特殊,比如,当遇到第二声时,它会变成第四声等。
我读的时候都有变调。
Get a better microphone please!
