11:59 I'm a cobbler! I have several boxes of these soles and the decals in my shop from the 1920's are all the same. As soon as i saw these on screen I jumped because my cobbler knowledge has never applied so directly to a game lmao. Glad to know the fallout saga has some cobbler sole in it!
About that Homeplate-home that you can buy.. I really liked it and i considered it always as the characters place of relaxation and unwinding. Where the other settlements are more like hubs for people, Preston and occasional fighting, the Homeplate is separate from settlers, enemies and weather. Therefore it's a natural place for planning, listening to holo-tapes, sorting stuff and decorating the home in peace, without interruptions.
Because of that, it's a mandatory place to buy in my opinion.
I feel like this could be said about that island you can use as a settlement too. Just gotta swim over there and activate the anti-Mirelurk frequency and stuff (and fight a Mirelurk Queen).
ngl homeplate's one of the places where your stored items won't get jacked by passing settlers!
I always get a mod that doesn’t make it look like a flop house.
Or you could just get rid of all the settlers somewhere
My fav part of Andale is when you talk to Linda (might be the other wife) she invites you for dinner sometime and when you exit the convo, she says "I can't wait to have you for dinner" totally is my fav line they put in because it's easy to skip over but it's a hint too
TK, you know you can interact with the sink in your house in Fallout 4, during the PRe War section. Interacted with the coffee cup, drank coffee then went to the sink and drank from the water faucet.
Gotta keep hydrated, brah.

16:31 killed me. Also, Homeplate was the first place a set a home in Fallout 4 when it came out, I didnt like having to fast travel to multiple places for shops, my items, and Nick when he wondered back
11:55 Those are not 'anti-slip shoe covers'. LOL Those are replacement heels for shoes and boots. Back in the day when you wore the heels down on your shoes you could go to the shoemaker and have them replaced for very little money. It's also where the saying 'down at the heels' comes from meaning you were so poor you couldn't afford to get new heels on your shoes.

Not sure if anyone has brought this up, but in the Fallout 4 Automotron and Nuka-World DLCs, you will get unique dialogue for wearing the Silver Shroud outfit. In Automotron, you can talk to The Mechanist as Silver Shroud and in Nuka-World; not only will Colter comment on the outfit you're wearing, but you can talk to the robots at Dry Rock Gulch as the Silver Shroud.

Small nitpick: .223 Remington is literally just the civilian name for 5.56 mm (5.56 x 45). So no, the gun didn't change caliber through the games.
Makes sense in the calculation, too:
25.4 mm x 0.223 equals 5.6 mm.

I feel like people miss that elevator in diamond city because of the lift inside the city. it takes you to a similar spot and find an interaction with piper. I cant recall if the elevator triggers it or not.
I found Home Plate on my first playthrough. It's honestly a really good player base due to the DC market being right outside your door. You can even send supply lines to it!
You probably have already done this one but finding Seymour in the divide was brutal the saddest futurama reference they could have done

Did you know that you can stumble upon an ant war in fallout 3? If you enter the shalebridge ant tunnels in shalebridge, you can find friendly ants battling invader ants.

Fun fact, did you know the Raider mentioned outside of Novac is also one of the only places that spawns Fallout 3 Raider helmets IE. psychotic waste hound and blast master helmets. The way it works is before you reach Novac save the game then walk straight to the Raider on the bridge. Rinse-and-repeat for whichever you'd like. I discovered this through 100 different playthroughs. For those who are true collectors of rare items LMAO, the waste Hound helmet it's probably the most Mad Max helmet there is in Fallout
The reason there's an article in the adult magazine is a reference to Kurt vonnegut some of his early works were first published in playboy hence the phrase "I read it for the articles"
The reason they MIGHT of done the changes on the large statue thing, those things are famous for being one mold that was changed into many many many forms as it was seen to be a great way to pull in customers at road side attractions

I've been getting the player home in Diamond City since my very first playthrough. Maybe that's because I liked the Megaton home so much that I was looking for the option
Funny, the elevator in Diamond City I remember well. I not only found it on my very first playthrough, but using it gave me my first (of SO many) Fallout 4 game crashes to desktop 🤣.

that slaver quest in 3 is pretty heavy man
I feel the same way, I could never bring myself to do it. The existence of the slavers and there quest has always down right disgusted me. I slaughter them all every play through.
The skilled glitch can be combined with the store xp glitch to get over 25 level perks in level 50 by leveling up a lot before getting out of goodsprings and re customizing your char
The best part about the interruptions is that your inputs change the Survivor’s reaction. Y makes them sound confused, B makes them angry or annoyed, A makes them nice and listening, X makes them a bit *sarcastic*…

There are a few ways to get to golgatha in fallout 2.
It's been a while since I played fallout 2 but I think there's at least 3 side quests that take you to it at some point. And you can have it unlocked on your map without doing any of them through dialogue with the right person.
But yeah, it is totally missable if you don't explore new reno very much.
You can get the holy hand grenades in fallout 2. From a world map encounter. And the original disc copies of fallout 2 allowed you to kill children. Fallout 1 didnt have any children.

I found that house in Fallout 4 on my first play through because I like to go around everything looking for shit to sell or use and I have about 10 caps at that time from farming zombies for gold watches and selling the ingots and most of my scrap

7:28 - Fallout 4 pulls the same situation through choices with Billy the Kid quest.
30:05 - The kid is a nod to the Adoring Fan as both characters are annoying, are younger than an adult and almost every player wants to take them out.
46:01 - 2655xp for letting Joshua take out Salt-Upon Wounds.
53:09 - Best unmarked location in Fallout 4 (The cat may be nod to how every person in power during historic times always had a cat with them. It's also a nod that cats may at some point take over the world and eradicate all humans on Earth or the skeletons are also a nod to the sayin "Curiously killed the cat".
1:03:39 - Harkness is a nod to the T-1000 terminator. He not only shares the same appearance as the terminator but both "robots" serve in police force and take there job or mission very seriously. Also the whole quest designs around being a detective looking for a android whereas in the Terminator, the cyborg is looking for a human and will use detective skills and methods to find and eliminate the target. Lastly if you let Harkness take out Zimmer and his bodyguard, the scene is a nod as to what happens when Terminators who become sentient reject Skynet and turn on their masters. This why when Skynet sends an infiltration unit out on a mission alone it sets the learn processor to read only hence the line that Sarah Connor says "Doesn't want you to do too much thinking" in which the T800 terminator response with "Nope."

In Fallout NV if you kill a merchant with a brahmin but not the brahmin itself the animal will do a specific unique animation. The animation is it putting its head down and sniffing around its owners dead body. Its actually super sad and was the only time I have ever genuinely felt bad during an evil run of any Fallout game.

When I got the part about the elevator in Diamond City and TK said he had hundreds of hours in Fallout 4 I wondered how many hours I've played it. Steam says I've played Fallout 4 for 3015 hours. Damn that is a lot, never realized how much I've played that game.
The absolute malice that Joshua kills Salt-Upon-Wounds with. He unloads the 5 bullets he has left in his .45, then sticks a fresh mag in just so he can unload a 5th bullet. If that doesn't speak to how much The Burned Man really cares about Zion, idk what does.
You can get both Wired Reflexes and A3-21's plasma rifle. You need to tell Harkness who he is and ask him about what he will do with Zimmer. Then offer to kill Zimmer and you are given A3-21's plasma rifle. Go to Zimmer, tell him Harkness is the android, get Wired Reflexes and kill him and Armitage. In the edn you get both one of the best weapons in the game and the super useful perk.

Technically speaking "that gun" if it was chambered in 5.56 it could shoot .223 with little to no modifications; however if it was chambered in .223 it could chamber and fire 5.56 at risk of overpressure and the gun itself exploding. like canonically speaking its reasonable to assume it's a 5.56 chambered pistol or they under power their 5.56 reloads in the Mojave.

It took you how long to discover home plate? Lol, sorry buddy that is hilarious. You have been missing out. There are 2 elevators to the Mayor's office. You have to go up there as part of your quest to find your son and that is usually when the player learns about buying a place in diamond city for 2000 caps. There are mods that allow you to run a supply line to home plate too so that you can build using all your resources. Otherwise its a completely separate resource pile and kind of a pain in the butt to keep this workbench supplied in addition to settlements. But this place is useful if you are doing a non Minute Man playthrough where you play the game while ignoring Preston completely.
I was surprised to hear that he didn’t know about this because I’m on my first play through rn and the first thing that I discovered in diamond city was the elevator to the mayors office. I instantly purchased home plate before even seeing diamond city interior.
