  • Like many other car enthusiasts, the Honda Civic is what gave Marwan his first brush with the car world and the people in it. Here, he takes a look at the 2015 Honda Civic Si to see if it lives up to its legacy as an affordable, reliable, and fun car.
Special thanks to Kitchener Honda for lending us the Civic Si, and for all the support! Check them out below, and if you have any questions about the car, check out Rick Elliott's Facebook page!

Love my 2015 SI, best way to describe it is balanced. Beautiful interior with good materials and very loaded feature wise, just enough power to have some fun, fuel economy is pretty damn good, and personally I like the look of the sedan version. You can feel the quality too in the clutch, gearbox, interior materials and just the overall way it handles.

Awesome cinematography! Love the GoPro placements as well. And a very well informed and clear review.

Great review. I like how you spaced the review out, with a nice intro + music, driving impressions, interior impressions, and then final thoughts. You gave all the info I wanted without being overly wordy. Also the video and audio quality are top notch. Subscribed.

This was a really good review. I especially liked how you pointed out the trade off going from the K20 to the K24 engine; torque makes a difference. I've been reading how people are lamenting that this current 9th generation is lower on the redline end, but having to redline just to pass merging traffic sounds annoying. I've been driving my 2015 Si Sedan for just shy of 4 weeks now and I love it. I'm not sure if it's because this is a Canadian and/or Navigation model, but I noticed the climate controls are different from ours here Stateside.

Dime Slinger i have noticed the samething too and also the heated seats.

Dime Slinger congrats on a dope ass ride. i own a 8th and while i agree that you do have to keep revs high, there's something satisfying about it. the way the engine screams to 8,200 rpm's is insane!

I also owned an 8th gen Si and loved it, but now I'm in the market for a used 9th gen Si sedan. Hope to find purchase one in the next week. I think the 2.4 is the better engine for all types of driving so I actually prefer it to the 2.0

nice camera work. you should do an in-depth comparison between the 8th vs 9th since you owned both. you may want to consider upgrading your mic-- there was quite a bit of noise. what camera did you use for the exterior shots?

Your vids have a lot of good points: cinematography, camera placements, interior shots, etc. They are however lacking in one important area: objectivity. All your vids are full of praise for the cars, which can be understandable if you like the cars, but all cars have their downsides and you should maybe try to focus more on these in order to attain objectivity.

Do you think the interior is too busy? As an 8th gen owner. The 9th gen interior feels, to me at least, too much.
    Nevertheless great review!

    • @DriversUnitedChannel

      Puneet Mistry Thanks!
The interior does take some getting use to. As mentioned in the video, some of the controls are a bit too touch sensitive for my liking BUT, nearing the end of the day I was finding myself becoming more comfortable with everything.
I remember when I first purchased my 8thgen, It took a while to get use to the two-tier dash. However, it is something I absolutely loved by the end of my ownership.

It feels stiff? Very interesting. I have heard others saying the car is too soft compared to Focus ST and so on.

I think I'm going to pick one of these up this week. It's a coupe, has about 20,000 miles, and it's going for $18.7k
    Any tips?

What are your thoughts on the economy aspects of the K24Z7? I think the integrated exhaust manifold and ugly plastic intake, are somewhat inexcusable compared to the nicer, older Acura TSX K24.

Ya I hate when people do not consider the low end torque. Its a lot more fun to daily then the previous gen

Good start, good setups, but it feels like it's trying to emulate other car videos. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but watching this video I was kind of hoping for something that sets it apart to be more memorable. Really obscure jokes? Different type of journalistic delivery?
Camera angles were nice, the music wasn't overly intrusive. Though maybe a bit too mellow for a sports compact? But the music fit how all the information was delivered in a calm, professional manner. Nothing in particular that I didn't like about this video.
That being said, having owned the 8th gen Si, I'm fairly disappointed with the following generations. Exterior styling, power delivery, lack of sportiness. I hate the 'i-VTEC' gauge, that gauge could've been used for something more important instead of making it feel ricey. But then again, I'm just being biased from having owned the 8th gen.
