I'm thinking At Attin is a skunkworks. Think Area 51. Or Los Alamos in the Manhattan Project l era. High security and entirely isolated from the external world. Which invites conspiracy theories. But instead of aliens - we have pirates dreaming of treasure. After all, pirates can get things wrong - trying to rob an empty vault, for examples.
the opening scene felt like a weird bizarro version of the Black Sails pilot cold open, only worse naturally as theres only one BS. but still... made me giggle so hard.
Toshe Station would be a very long drive from At Attin. The ship's hatch looked like the symbol in his "comic book". I already saw one of the hate channels label the show bad because the school chairs are from Ikea. As if Star Wars hasn't always been 90% real Earth items that were redressed. Sad.
@@Shinzo836 The little holographic dancing people that the kids were watching are a reference to a scene in The Star Wars Holiday Special, a notoriously bad variety show that aired only once in 1978 and was immediately disavowed by George Lucas. In addition to cameos by pretty much all of the main Star Wars cast, it has a bunch of comedy and musical acts that would’ve been well-known at the time. You can find a copy of it on this very site, if you’re really curious.
I'm really tired of both the franchise and the fandom being cynical about the whimsy of Star Wars, so I'm really happy that this show is fully embracing it. I would be really disappointed if Jude law was actually NOT a force sensitive person. After all the buildup of wim’s dreams…. I suspect he’s not a Jedi, but a force sensitive, maybe former padawan/purge survivor, cal kestis style.

41:28 Finding Nemo
Get ready for Star Wars: The Goonies.
Was that a subtle Star Trek reference, 7 of 9? Also, KB visor looks a bit like the one used by Geordi. Yes, that pirate appears in S3 of Mando.
Can't wait to see the Superman and Lois video. It's gonna break you ! Lol
I kind of enjoy the first two episodes. It immediately reminds me of Goonies which I read later is the intension.
the opening scene felt like a weird bizarro version of the Black Sails pilot cold open, only worse naturally as theres only one BS. but still... made me giggle so hard.
SM-33. It's Smee. I can't believe it took me this long
Toshe Station would be a very long drive from At Attin. The ship's hatch looked like the symbol in his "comic book".
I already saw one of the hate channels label the show bad because the school chairs are from Ikea. As if Star Wars hasn't always been 90% real Earth items that were redressed. Sad.
"There are some who call me SM-33" Will there be a back story?
15:50 - how much do you think they debated over whether this deserved to be canon?
I'm clearly missing something please enlighten me 😂
@@Shinzo836 The little holographic dancing people that the kids were watching are a reference to a scene in The Star Wars Holiday Special, a notoriously bad variety show that aired only once in 1978 and was immediately disavowed by George Lucas.
In addition to cameos by pretty much all of the main Star Wars cast, it has a bunch of comedy and musical acts that would’ve been well-known at the time.
You can find a copy of it on this very site, if you’re really curious.
Neel is the Mvp
Holiday special 😂
Yep!!! I can't believe they included that!
@@Omn1Media I snorted my drink laughing when that came up. Hot scalding coffee. Fun Fun!
OLD Republic my brother. That planet has been hiding for literal ages.
Thats why they know about the Sith. Its not like the Sith were common knowledge in the new Republic.
Fun show so far
Now we need to get Ryan Reynolds into fhe Star Wars franchise. I could see him piloting an X-Wing. We need an X-Wing Rogue Squadron film.
Neel is the goat
Waiting for your reaction to that Superman and Lois ending goddamn it hurts 😭💔🤧
Give us Andor
Or give us new stories…like this!
Ahh Smee in space!!
SM-33.... Smee!
Great eps 7/10 . Stranger things/goonies / lost in space
44:53 no way that’s the Michael Jackson pet alien dude from sci fi short film from the 80s that was directed by George Lucas 🤣🤤🤣
Directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It was more than a short film, it was an attraction with in-theater effects: lasers and smoke.
I'm really tired of both the franchise and the fandom being cynical about the whimsy of Star Wars, so I'm really happy that this show is fully embracing it. This takes me back to when I first got into Star Wars as a kid and was obsessed with the podracing scene in TPM 😂 It also reminds me of growing up with shows like _Stargate SG-1_ , which also knew when to break tension and have fun with itself, so needless to say I'm having a great time
Anyone waiting for his Superman and Lois reaction.
There’s no way Hondo wont appear in this
I would be really disappointed if Jude law was actually NOT a force sensitive person. After all the buildup of wim’s dreams…. I suspect he’s not a Jedi, but a force sensitive, maybe former padawan/purge survivor, cal kestis style.
Those who live on At-Aden probably think Lina Soh is still the Chancellor…which leads me to believe At-Aden has been isolated from the rest of the galaxy since 232 bby….the Under Secretary mentioned the Great Works which clued me in to when were isolated from the rest of the galaxy.
LFG!!!
Since you've never watched Star Wars, I would LOVE to see you dive into that universe at some point. It's a lot of content, varying in quality, but still super fun overall. There's not really a definitive viewing order, though, so release order is probably the best, considering even the newer prequels benefit greatly from established information from the older shows and movies.
✨🤍✨💫✨
Star Wars Suburbia
That was fun, I could do with toning down the extremes of the main kids a bit but it was still a good time
I have to say...i didn't expect too much from this, but soo far i like what i see. Let's hope they didn't put any DEI agenda. 🤞
Give it a rest, man.
@brendansmith9946 you give me a rest, I can believe and say what I want, I live in a free country, just like anyone else. You are you and I am me and let's leave it at that.
Are you one of those guys that see DEI everywhere? Pretty sad, tbh.
"DEI" literally means nothing
@@FelipeMAPT yep. You sure are free to spew your nonsense, but you're not free from hearing about it from people that think you're being silly and immature. Star Wars has been DEI from day 1. It was anti US imperialism and pro woman. So grow up and join society
