Steffi has the highest slam match winning percentage of the open era.
Won 21 of the 36 slams she played from 1987 to 1996 (missed 4).

don't get me wrong, she was a great player, but her deranged fan that STABBED Monica in the back caused her to win HALF of the slams she won, Monica was never the same player after the stabbing (who would be?)

@@mima167 The notion that Monica would have won every single GS event between 1993 and idk 2003 without the stabbing is quite deranged.
Graf won 11 GS titles between 1987 - 1992 and had already established herself as the most dominant player in the history of the sport up until that point (13 consecutive GS finals).
Graf continued to win GS events during Seles reign as #1, namely Wimbledon 1991 and 1992.
This game of "what if" is not fair because it works in Graf's favor as well. What if she played beyond 1999. Could Graf have won the US Open 1999 and the French Open in 2000? What if Graf never injured her knee and what if Graf never missed the 1997-1998 seasons? What if Graf never missed the 1995 and 1996 spring season?
In the end , we can only judge the people on what they have won in tennis.
Graf von 107 tournaments, incl. 22 GS titles and retired at age 30.
Seles won 53 titles, incl. 9 GS titles and retired at age 30.
Your logic means that all the women who won GS titles between 1993 - 2003 did not deserve their wins either:
      1994 - FO - Sanchez Vicario
      1994 - W - Martinez
      1994 - USO - Sanchez Vicario
      1995 - AO - Pierce
      1997 - AO - Hingis
      1997 - FO - Majoli
      1997 - W - Hingis
      1997 - USO - Hingis
      1998 - AO - Hingis
      1998 - FO - Sanchez Vocario
      1998 - W - Novotna
      1998 - USO - Davenport
      1999 - AO - Hingis
      1999 - W - Davenport
      1999 - USO - Williams, S
      2000 - AO - Dabeport
      2000 - FO - Pierce
      2000 - W - Williams. V
      2000 - USO - Williams, V
      2001 - AO - Capriati
      2001 - FO - Capriati
      2001 - W - Willliams, V
      2001 - USO - Williams, V
      2002 - AO - Capriati
      2002 - FO - Williams, S
      2002 - W - Williams, S
      2002 - USO - Williams, S
      2003 - AO - Williams, S
      2003 - FO - Henin
      2003 - W - Williams, S
      2003 - USO - Henin
They are all so undeserving. Monica would have won every GS tournament until today.

Seles never was able to beat Steffi on grass, on fast hard courts (USO-style) or indoors.
Seles only won a lot in the early 90s because Steffi was in a slump. Heck, 1991 was only Steffi‘s 11th-best year!

It's amazing Henin reached 100 slams wins mark in 21st century earlier than Serena despite Serena was almost a top 10 player in turn of 21st century. That's shows Henin consistency & Serena's inconsistency especially after her 1st Serena slam win. Of course she was more successful in next decade because the competition becomes weak. There hardly any ATG talent that appeared on the tour until Osaka, Barty & Iga came along.
