solution for cracked versions: open elden ring before doing the procedure, create a character normally and close the game, do the process in the video and the save will appear normally.

I found the solution for my problem. If you play seamless coop and want that character transferred or backed up using the character manager app, you have to rename the .co2 file to .sl2. Just remember to backup your file.

For anyone having a prob with cracked versions all i have to do is just change some stuff first put your elden folder where steam game folders are and then u will find a folder named game in the elden ring folder cut everything in that folder and put it straight in the elden ring folder and then u should be alright

What happens if you copy the same character to a few save slots? I'd like to finish the dlc then make copies so I can experiment with different builds. But would like not to get banned.
@@bluebellben8848 I copied a character to reduce it's level back to 200 from 270 :) its my own character from NG+ where I think I got most of the stuff, just over leveled a bunch compared to ''meta'', so edited the level down. It's my very own character and I personally don't see anything wrong with what I did (played online as well a bit). That being said, using those characters with 999 mats and 999M runes to play online, seems a bit concerning, but at the same time, if you do not obtain some unfair advantage over other players, it should be fine. Warning in the loading screen also says we shouldn't use illegaly modified files so who can tell really xd tons of people said they never got banned as well so, i guess its at your own risk If you are offline, then im sure you're safe though :D

I don't understand how to actually use this yet, so I "accidentally" overwrote my save data with the one I transfer before the progress with the Save Manager, is there a way to recover it with Character Manager? It's not the character I am thinking of, it's the progress...I just beat Rellana...I rather not do it again for a time...

well it work but in my game i'm using the seamless coop mod and i transfer my save in the old game to new game but when i play the tiny great port and Effigy of Malenia show up as error item and i can't use that to play with my friend, do u guys have any solution

I found the solution for my problem. If you play seamless coop and want that character transferred or backed up using the character manager app, you have to rename the .co2 file to .sl2.
Just remember to backup your file.
The program can load .c02 files directly. In the open dialog change the filter at the bottom right from *.sl2 to *.co2.
