Yeah I’m a carb guy!
@@averagebogarage EFI ruined them, EGR was too big so many never ran smooth when brand new, mine has been nothing but problems, will not idle in gear, can't find any vacuum leaks, and no shop wants to touch anything with OBD1 as they are difficult to diagnose, most issues are around the pickup in the distributor, shop has to order them, no parts store has them in stock, and you often end up with a dead one out of the box, so I see why shops hate fooling with it
I love the simplicity of a carb. This truck has like 15-20 wires thru the whole truck lol
@@averagebogarage I had a 73 E100 with a 302, I loved it, dad hated it, a girl ran a light hitting it head on, so dad bought this 89 E150, and we have suffered since. Should have passed on it, had a miss from day one, then later was running on 4 cylinders, found 2 bad injectors, replaced them all, still had a miss, and quit when put in gear. The day the shop had it ready, the alternator wasn't charging, he rebuilt it, had worn the brushes to the copper wires, then the regulator, the connections corroded off it, radiator broke loose, took months to complete. The timing has not been set, no one could find the mark, Ford put a big mark on the balancer for god knows what, its not for timing, gotta sand it to find the little scribe in the balancer. The throttle body wasn't removed, found the gasket breaks up on it, but have spent so much, just don't want to spend more to see if that fixes it, because nothing seems to improve it. My wheelchair lift is acting up now, the hydraulic motor has a bad connection, or is seizing up, that is about to send this thing to the junkyard, we are tired of it, I've lost a fortune, money I can't afford to burn, and will never get back, but where does it end, this was to replace my E350, because the 300 is said to be such a great engine.
Please remember not everybody likes noise. ❤
LMMFAO.... That truck doesn't sound good at all... It's a weak ass inline six .. you want it sound good... Put a turbo on it
Figure that out on ye flip phone? Love to see your truck.
@@averagebogarage yah my flip phone .. right along with my Samsung Galaxies and Iphone... Don't be but hurt... I'm sure ur dad, ur Uncle, grand father, and ur only bother has hurt it more times then u can count...

Man ur a pleasure. God bless you and goodbye sir.
By the way only child molesters make fun of child molesting. Ur disgusting
Typical. Supposed to listen to the truck but all I hear is the noise from the camera being jostled around and someone's screeching children. FFS folks.
You seem like peach I bet ur a great guy haha 😂
@@averagebogarage you seem like you can't handle criticism. Keep on being mediocre, more power to you.
