    🇰🇷 Korean Food Tour in LA (Part 1): • Persian KINGS of Mince...
    🔔 SUBSCRIBE: bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe Don’t miss new food videos!
    LOS ANGELES, USA - Welcome to LA, one of the best cities outside of Thailand for Thai food - and not just any Thai food but you’ll find amazing regional varieties of Thai food. Today we’re going on an extreme Thai food tour of Los Angeles, where we’ll eat northern Thai food, southern Thai food, boat noodles, and spicy green papaya salad. Get ready for some of the best Thai food outside of Thailand!
    Sapp Coffee Shop (goo.gl/maps/4ZgQ4hfNTqm1A7cc7) Price - $11 per bowl - We’re starting this Thai food tour of LA with a bowl of classic boat noodles at Sapp Coffee Shop. They are good, really good. Rich and meat, but a good ratio of blood to broth.
    Northern Thai Food Club (g.page/NorthernThaiFoodClub?s...) - Next up on this Thai food tour in Los Angeles we headed over to Northern Thai Food Club, also known as Amphai northern Thai food. Here you’ll find an amazing selection of authentic northern Thai food all cooked and ready to be served. Choose some of the dishes that sound best to you, dish them out, and you’re ready for a feast. This place is amazing, and you don’t want to miss it.
    Price - about $8.99 per dish
    Luv2eat Thai Bistro (g.page/Luv2eat?share) - I met up with my friend / paidonnnn from Bangkok, but who happened to be in LA at the same time we were and she joined us for lunch. We went to Luv2eat Thai Bistro for an outstanding southern Thai meal. Along with a huge feast for lunch, one of their signature dishes and something you don’t want to miss is their Phuket crab curry with rice noodles. Also, a great place to eat stink beans!
    Lax-C (goo.gl/maps/TqNGs32k2XSowRHF6) - Price for 3 items - $12 - For Thai street food in LA, you must check out Lax-C, which is basically a Thai warehouse like Costco, but with all Thai ingredients and necessities. Inside you’ll find a khao gaeng - a Thai style curry buffet where you choose what dishes you want over rice and take it to go. The food is authentic and they have a great variety.
    Kim Thai Food (goo.gl/maps/UrQT1SwiFaY8Qs3S6) - Total price - $45 for everything - Finally to end this epic Thai food tour in LA, we drove out to Kim Thai Food, located at the back of an unlikely swap meet. They specialize in Isan food, food from the northeastern region of Thailand. I ordered the spicy duck laap, and some flaming hot papaya salad. Great food, and again the authentic taste, and crazily spicy!
    It was a fantastic day of Thai food in Los Angeles!

    Dude, Authentic Thai food is hands down the best food in the world. Hands down. There are more spices and ingredients in one single Thai dish than in a lot of entire cuisines. Just flavor everywhere. Spicy, sweet, salty, bitter, sour, meaty, fresh. Even the textures are super unique. It’s wild.

    Amphai Northern Thai Food is by far my most favorite Thai place in LA, I'm fortunate enough to be able to eat here once/twice every week.
    My late mother was from Chiang Mai, and I can gaurantee you this is the most authentic Northern Thai food you can get anywhere in the US. This kind of food is hard to find, even in Thailand so don't miss out!
    Let's just say this place was one of the big deciding factors when my fiance and I were contemplating accepting a job to move to LA.

    • @TheRealPDizzle
      @TheRealPDizzle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why do you say that it is hard to find even in Thailand? I can drive 30 minutes and find giant markets with 100 stalls all cooking something just as good if not better than what you see here.

    • @KorraMea
      @KorraMea 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheRealPDizzle This place's menu rotates on a regular basis and there are many Northern specific dishes that are featured based on availability. There are many dishes served here that from my experience, having grown up in Bangkok, just is not common to find outside of going to Northern part of Thailand. If you can find some, it just doesn't taste the same as the ones you can find up North. We used to go up to visit my grandparents 2-3 times a year and the food you get up there is quite distinct from what you find in Central Thailand. Many dishes, people from Bangkok wouldn'tve even heard of because Thai cuisine is more than just Pad Thai and Pad Kaprao.
      I'm speaking from experience of having tried both, have you even been to this restaurant? Let alone on a regular basis to see every item on their rotating menu? Good or better is subjective, but sure go off. I know myself, my family, and a lot of my Thai friends are very glad we can get these dishes, of this quality, so far away from home.

    Welcome to Los Angeles. Los Angeles has a Thai Town in the Hollywood area as well as Thai restaurants throughout Southern California. My daughter's boyfriend is from Thailand. He took us to the Costco of Thai restaurant foods and supplies, LAX-C near Chinatown in downtown Los Angeles. This is where most of the Thai restaurants shop. You can also pick up a $9000 Buddha if you happen to be looking for one. The last time I was there, they had 3 golden Buddhas for sale. They also have a lunch counter serving Thai cuisine.

    Mark I have seen nearly every single one of your videos. I have especially enjoyed the ones of you in Thailand at the beginning of the pandemic. They always made me want Thai food. But I was disappointed when I would go to the local restaurants. They always have those 10 or 15 dishes you mentioned and nothing more. One day I hope to make my way to LA and do the same thing you're doing now. I have always appreciated the way you in a very subtle way managed to keep a positive vibe going during your videos. You've turned me into a real foodie. Not a snob though. Please keep up the good work brother. If you ever make it to Houston again, I would be happy to show you some great places.
