As a Thai, my family and I always talked about how the Tourism of Thailand should sponsor Mark to show the true colour of Thai food to the world. No one can do it better than you Mark! We are so excited to watch your journey and travel vicariously through you!
Four things I have learnt in this video... 1) The food is one of the most beautifully presented I've ever seen. 2) Fact, Mark actually looked like he was having a food baby 😂 3) The chilli must have been on another level to make him cry 4) I really do not want to eat my tuna Jacket potato after watching this! Ha.. Just amazing food here!
I know Mark has already made it but when you have the Ministry of Tourism of Thailand asking him to shoot videos for Thailand; yeah, it's a big deal. Happy for Mark and his family living the hard earned dream.
She's a historian? I would say she's a world class chef. Those dishes were made with all the love only dedicated people can make. I couldn't believe what you were served.
Visited Thailand in 2011 where I had Som Tum for the first time, and it was love at first bite. The lip-numbing heat is absolutely addictive! Watching this vid 12 years later made my mouth juices gush 🤤. (Same happens when I see someone trying Durian - lol). Unfortunately Thai food is not big in South Africa, and if you do find it, it has been adapted to the South African palate. I would happily sell my soul for one more bite.
I visited Thailand twice and it's my second home now.I always wonder when I will be able to go back there and eat thai foods and explore Bangkok with Tuktuk! I love Thailand and love Mark!! Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Yes, its fun watching him pig out, but everytime I watch these, I think of all the people in the world who are starving. Not to mention all the food that he wastes while making these videos.😭
@blockchaineducationmanager5808 What are you doing to curb world hunger?? Mark never wastes are u delusional? Pig out u say..dont u pig out everyday...dont be that person in the glass house...just be quiet if u cannot say something good
The most Thai chilis 🌶️ I had in a papaya salad is 20. 50 Thai chilis🌶️ is beyond spicy. That's straight fire! 🔥 The spice heat definitely intensifies the more chilies added. Mark handled it well, while getting teary eyed and nose runny.👍🏽
Out of all of the food tours you've done in Thailand, I have never seen anyone present Isaan Thai food or just Thai food in general like Khun Kamnang. Her food just looks and I'm pretty sure it taste amazing, just MIND blowing!
Mark always good to watch your video because of your deductible explaination and your 2 or more food coverage in one video. Most of foodie vloggers cover only one dish at time but you show us more that pleasant to watch.
You know it's another dimension of spicy when Mark is sweating and crying. I imagine the rest of us mere mortals would be transported to a different plane of existence. Love all of Mark's videos but this series is so exceptionally interesting!
Really good to see and learn about those cultural dishes of Thailand. Congratulations to the Thai lady who prepared and presented this native Thai dishes.
....this lady is a master chef. I would eat like this my whole life and she is so meticulous with her presentations....IT IS YUMMY. Asia, South America and North Afrika have mind-blowing traditional food....BUT THIS IS EPIC!!! EXQUISITE. Some cultures like to brag but nothing can beat this Thai dish....this needs a lot of promo.
Thai foods and spices are amazing I could eat a whole dish of delicious thai peppers along with every meal if I traveled there. Thanks for sharing this. Thai people know their spices very very well.
It's amazing how much effort and detail is put into the preparation and presentation of all those dishes. They truly are secret treasures! I hope i get to taste them someday (Maybe not the papaya salad with 50 🌶 though 😂) . Awesome video Mark!🔥
Oh wow, the multitude of dishes, the exquisite presentations, the dedication, the use of exceptionally rare ingredients, and the unique cooking techniques - she truly embodies the essence of a World Class Masterchef. It's a perfect 5-star Michelin rating
My family and I are from Laos. These dishes are pretty common to us, or somewhat similar. Brings me back to when my mom used to cook in the home. The house was just a mix of all the herbs a scents of each dish!!
Seeing how well everything is cooked in a traditional way makes, you understand how the texture works together as one.and you see the difference dish’s and flavors.
I love any kinds of salads. I just hate the shredding part. The elderly done pulled a switcheroo on me & gave me covid. Now my baby has it. & I can only be in all my above spaces spaces for so long. Thx alot, the elderly. My poor pumpkin bumpkin. There's only so much I can give her to make her feel better. & I hope I can even hold yummy food down. If I can, then maybe it's not that bad, I think
Wow. I'm blown away by the sheer uniqueness of all of these wonderfful dishes. The cookery is just masterful and I admire the amount of work it must involve. Amazing.
This is the best food journey video I have watch on Mark's channel. All the food I watch is so like me and would love to travel to Thailand just for the food. ❤❤❤
I'm from Toronto Canada, not really good with spicy food but all of the food from today's vid is absolutely mouth watering. I need more Thai food. Keep up the awesome work Mark.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
When I saw Mark showered the chef lady with praise, I raised my eyebrow a little. But when she brought her first tray out, I thought wow she’s the real deal those dishes look amazing. Sadly I don’t think I’d ever have a chance to try as I’m the only one in my central Thai family and friends that enjoy “traditional Isan bitterness”.
I'm an absolute foodie and was first introduced to non-Americanized food when living in Italy from 4 years old to 8 years old (in 2006). I tried things like squid ink sauce over pasta, smoked fresh bay tuna Sicilian pizza, black current (actual Italian) gelato, smoked salmon, and so many other things. This video made me so hungry for Thai food, even more than I usually crave it. So excited to hopefully someday get to try these foods too. Congrats Mark!
I'm currently having a quick visit in the Philippines and it's currently 1AM right now so you could imagine how much this makes me hungry! Now, I found myself on a covert mission to find the leftover pizza in the fridge like it's hidden treasure lol
Very nice to showcase these hidden dishes. Wish you took the opportunity with the chef/historian to tell us about the history of Isaan food and how its influenced from its neighbors in Cambodia & Laos.
Thai women are breath taking and the country is beautiful as well. I found Marks channel by watching Zurmat Neo and I have watched you ever since especially the Thailand videos. Thank you Mr weins for enriching our lives and thanks to you also Mrs Ying Weins. You are a priceless asset to Mark and the channel.
Its been a few times that the food is even hot for Mark🤣. My first bite of the salad consisted of a ball of sticky rice dipped in the juice, wrapped with the Herb and some crab. Then chased by a spoonful of the chiles, papaya, and the juice. It was a welcoming and humbling experience. So when I seen Mark's face, it brought back that wonderfully painful experience.🤣🤣🥵🤯🤧🤧🥵🤣👍🏾

That's what I was thinking too😂 I've never seen him get spiced up until today.
Mark is simply the absolute best.....just in a league all of his own.
Just genuine enthusiasm and love for what he does
