Thank you Kelly for another amazing video! I really appreciate the time you take to share your adventures and knowledge with us! Take care my friend we wish you folks good health and happiness! From the MTN LIFE FAMILY!
From serving overseas thank you for sharing this amazing video! Love the Jeremiah Johnson closing song, brings me back to hunting in the fall with my old man and little brother. Special draw archery this fall here we go!
Congratulations to your son on a nice bull. Thanks for taking the time to video it, I know it’s hard to do, especially when your hands are cold. Looks like that Grey continues to cause a few issues. I’ve got a young colt like that. Got about a dozen rides on him now and he keeps getting humpy. Worse part is last weekend he lost his feet while bucking and came down in my leg. I’ll be in a cast for a few months. At least I have time to heal before fall. Anyway these are great experiences and memories for you and your family. Thanks for sharing them.
Dang, that's a bummer to be layed up for the summer. Yeah that grey has his moments, after he has his fit he's good to go. That horse has a pretty storied past with my family, he put my cousin in the hospital for awhile with a busted pelvis.
What an incredible hunt! You captured it so beautifully! I loved every second of the video. The shots on a beautiful bull, to the rugged and challenging terrain, to the in camp rodeo, to the amazing pack string going out. Absolutely brilliant. Congratulations to everyone involved. Great job!
Thanks, I appreciate your kind words. I look forward to these hunting trips with my boys, its when all is right in the world. I enjoy watching you and your boys do the same.
@@406highlanders That’s awesome man. I am glad I found your channel. Just subbed. Looking forward to more videos and outstanding hunts. And thank you as well.
Awesome video!! Man, never ceases to amaze me how fast the weather changes in the back country. Sleeping under the stars one nite, 10" snow the next. Great bull, congrats!!
😂 the old gray didn’t disappoint the audience 😂 easy for me to laugh at home but I’ve been there many of times! Great hunt! Congrats on a good bull! Those are hard hunts when you are in that kinda weather. Thanks for sharing, awesome work 👍
Thanks, yeah that gray is always entertaining. I would have liked to stayed longer but our horse feed was gone, sure we could have killed some more good bulls if we had more time but those are the challenges a guy faces. Another season will be here soon, good luck to you this season.
Another great video! Thank you for your efforts to record it and time to post it on here. I grew up around farming, ranching, hunting, and outfitting, definitely a way of life where things just feel “right” in world, wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Thank you, Is there any better way to grow up? If that don't teach you to be tough, independent, resourceful and fifty other things nothing will. Appreciate your comments
That’s amazing, the same exact day you guys got that first snow storm, we got our first snow dump in southwest Alberta. Checked the date in the picture in my phone and it said Oct 22. Awesome video, thanks.
Thanks, I appreciate your comments. No better times than when your in the back country. Hope you have a great season, it will be here before we know it.
Thank you, always working on another video. I enjoy making them and trying to improve in making them but its hard to find the time. Thanks for watching
What brand rifle is that Kane shot the bull with has a muzzle break and looks nice, the rifle looks about the same as Trevars rifle when he smoked that huge 6 point whitetail, I love watching your videos
That's a great question I even asked myself. The previous day it was 75 and sunny, that morning it was actually raining and warmer but it didn't take long for things to cool down fast. Especially as we gained elevation. That being said we put on some miles and stay warm but that day was a drastic change and we got cold but after a fire and packing elk we warmed back up. You can bet we had more layers the next few days on. thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks for the comment, yes a rest is always the best at about any range. I still see a giant bull that got away from me because I got in a hurry and decided not to get a rest. That bull still haunts my dreams and its been twenty plus years ago.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. Get well quick. Eat lots of boiled elk and beef bone broth and soft tissue. Hopefully get back on the trail soon.

Yeah and when your not climatized to it, it's a shock to the system. 30 degrees in the fall is a lot colder than 30 degrees in the spring

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Great stuff - so cool to see you getting out there with your boys! The music selection on the ride out was spot on!

Thanks, appreciate your comment. Yeah that was a shock to the system, when its been so warm then drops below zero coupled with wind it gets to a guy.
I deer hunt the way y’all elk hunt, makes for some good times and good memories!

Snow makes it eerily quiet.
Yes it does,
Oh buddy, you definitely can’t get anything better than a nice string.
Ole grey gets it on every time! 😂
He's a little temperamental
Awesome video
Great video!
Thanks
What caliber rifle where you using to take the bull?.
270
Hello from Wisdom Montana.......Branding time.
Branding season it is but not this weekend, we have had over two inches of rain here.
What brand rifle is that Kane shot the bull with has a muzzle break and looks nice, the rifle looks about the same as Trevars rifle when he smoked that huge 6 point whitetail, I love watching your videos

Got cold watching you guys shivering. Why don't you dress warmer?

Down puffy coats
Thats Shitplacement instead of shotplacement
Everyone has a right to an opinion, but in my opinion I've seen a lot worse shot placement out there
Awesome hunt. Take your pack off next time as a rest super easy and fast. Quickest way to warm up is get your knife out. Right on good job.
