My 1st elk hunt was in Colorado and I think my reaction was the exact same... it can be extremely frustrating as times and it's a ton of work but once the trigger breaks and you watch that bull crumble it's an amazing feeling. Congrats on the elk and great video as always keepem coming guys!!!

Western Colorado late season elk hunt on private land. Doesn't get any better.
Works out good when you help the rancher gather cattle in the fall and plow snow to their haystacks during a blizzard. Great hunting when you're buddies with them and they won't let anyone else on their property. Fond memories.
PS. For some reason I can't explain. Worchestershire sauce works real well with elk. Better than with mule deer venison. Don't know much about cooking white tail, never shot one.

That many elk is fun to see, but I love a single bull looking for cows in Sept. That many would be frustrating, but she got it done. Nice job!
I did laugh at the cow calling in an attempt to get the attention of a bull 400 yards away that's in the middle of a couple hundred cows calling. 😁

Reason being, if It went off, where would you want it? Behind a head or at your feet? The the most dangerous weapon is the one that is unloaded. I am in no way questioning your safety skills but that's how we do it in the military ( I was Army) please keep safe and great work you four!!! Wow I'm just impressed as always!!!!

Chasing around a herd thats down for low for the winter on private property thats not elk hunting! Chasing elk 6-7 miles back in the back country is elk hunting! Target practice doesn’t count👍

Awesome! What caliber rifle did Sarah shoot her elk? I just came back from 3rd Rifle, CO with a six by six using onx. That app saved our butts on the mountain. With the snow up to out waist in spots, it was a much harder hunt than 6 years before with no snow. Congrats to Sarah!

Actually, modern day long range hunting started in the east Robert.
In the north central area of Pa.
I now live within a few miles of you in Vero beach.
But i still have a camp in the NC region of Pa where there are even bigger elk, and where ive been hunting long range esclusively😂 for over 50 years.

I would never go hunting, but I would love to go with that 600mm lens.
Question: why wear full camouflage, but then add bright orange on top. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose? (I mean, I think you should wear orange only when the gun is ready to shoot. Not while stalking the elk.)
