I didn’t grow up hunting and still have never been on a hunting trip but it’s stuff like this that I didn’t show my mom when she’d talk about the beauty of nature as an argument against the “brutality” of hunting. Nature IS beautiful. It’s also savage and indifferent because that’s what evolution is; an unforgiving and brutal advancement of certain traits. I feel like you have to understand both sides to really understand the natural world.
A majority of my family on my mother’s side are hunters and they can tell you horror stories that they’ve see animals do to each other as they are lining up a shot. Nature might be beautiful when you don’t see the Jack the Rippers and Ted Bundies. But nature doesn’t care about anything. Be it you or a cute little baby, something is about to have it’s head crushed and it’s booty disrespected out there.
Oh wow. You're *mom* is like that? I always get so annoyed at such people, especially when they start calling hunters "evil," "cruel," and "wasteful." Like, orcas will *literally* harass a mother whale and her calf until they can get the exhausted calf separated from mom, drown it while the mother watches, then *only* eat the tongue. All that for a *tongue.* Human hunters, on the other hand, have a vested interest in preserving wild spaces and species diversity. Some of the most active and *effective* conservation organizations are made up of *hunters.* Not to mention wanting to kill the animals they hunt as quickly as possible so they don't have to go looking for it or risk some other predators getting interested.
@@brigidtheirish I don't like Sport hunters, I find killing an animal just for a trophy is wasteful. At least you could make the argument that the Orcas still contributed to the ecology of the ocean (Since the Calf would end up feeding a bunch of critters on the ocean floor). Now, if the hunter actually uses the Carcass, that's a different story entirely.
This video basically explains why I feel utter hatred for geese in the spring and summer time. Every year I hear them honkin', I just go, "...The Bastards have returned..." 😆
I swear, Canadian geese act like some mad scientist somehow siphoned off all the collective @$$holery of the human population of Canada, distilled it, and then dumped it into a pond where a mated pair of (presumably at the time) innocent geese then marinated in it, and then reproduced, causing the d*ck genes to take over the species.
You tried to rescue a *goose?* Oh man. Those things are *mean* even when they *aren't* injured. Good thing you didn't try to grab it. Would've been even worse if it was a swan. Those things can beat people to death with their wings.

Geese are fucking evil. I remember when I was in the third grade, during the summer, I went with my family to a lake in town and we were feeding ducks and geese some bread... THREE FUCKING GEESE BEGAN HONKING AT ME, CHASING ME, AND BIT MY SHORTS AS I WAS FLEEING FOR MY LIFE!!! Those creatures are fucking Hellspawn.
And if you make the mistake of being in the same *park* as them when they have goslings, you better be wearing some heavy-duty pants. They aren't just like that with people, either. They regularly bully ducks. I was feeding some ducks once and a goose speedboated in from *across the pond* to steal food straight from the duck's mouth and drive the poor thing off.
