Just picked up one of these with the later version SP with190cc briggs motor with 3 extra bags and the hose attachment for a couple hundred bucks. The prices of these used machines are insane all over the place. FB and offer up is a good start.
I would have thought it mulched better. Maybe if you mowed over with a mulching mower first then run the billygoat. I don’t know, seems like a lot of effort. A walk behind leaf blower would be a better purchase. My opinion. Thanks for making the video though!
If you have to put a cover on the bottom in order to use the hose, wouldn't it stand to reason that if you capped the hose when not in use, the bottom would suck even better? Hose would be very useful in tight spots.
Hey I have the 2nd generation craftsman 5hp chipper vac it’s an excellent machine. Also has the branch chipper on side. I only use it for leaves. I have all attachments which are hard to come by. I think it does better than this machine and its slightly smaller. I guy actually makes heavy duty bags for my unit. I’m looking at a used one Billy Goat
Thats one thing about the Billy goat i use i can close the front flap to use the hose that just a little much to screw on a block off plate just to used the hose i run the Billy goat bg1002 self propelled pro series
Dude lol. It’s not made for doing mud trails. Even though if you did another pass it would clean that trail up. Also the hose isn’t for sucking up a huge pile of leaves even tho it was doing fine. It’s made for doing in gardens and areas the machine can’t fit like around A/c u it’s and close to trees and gardens by sides of sheds. You’re putting that thing thru the ultimate test and it’s actually working good. Not many will use it for this purpose. A huge street sweeper couldn’t even go down that trail and do better. This review is the opposite of what this machine does. It’s made for a yard and gardens and sidewalks and it’s awesome. And it did well here. Think of it like a shop vac. Theryre great at doing what they’re made for -sucking up saw dust and nails, debris and stuff off of construction site floors and for sucking up water but it’s not made for sucking all the water out of a pool or for sucking up a pile of 2x4s or a pile of roof shingles, lol.
You use it wrong Sir. The hose is only to be used for getting in between flower beds, on raised surfaces or in between shrubs. Furthermore you need close off the hose, covering the hole by putting it on the black baseplate with 4 protruding lips to keep it in place on the right hand side (just in front of the rear right wheel). Right now it doesn't suck because the leaves clog the main intake and it just vacuums that hose making you lose all of the efficiency ... Considering how badly you used it, it performed admirably :)
This machine is designed to pick up debris. Not a fucking pile of leaves to mow over… this machine is capable of picking up empty bottles and cans, rocks, wood chunks, and dirt. It’s great for after any event, this guy would be better off with a rake and a leaf blower for what he’s doing
THANK YOU. I saw that too, was looking for this comment. You need to detach the vacuum and cover up the hole, otherwise it just draws air through that ...
Totally useless on wet leaf’s and underpowered. If leaves are dry it’s ok I stopped using mine. The pipe can easily become blocked. Really only for garden with dry leaves. Don’t waste your cash.
The hose is good for tight spots not forcing a pile through it. It would work fine just little bites at a time.
That's true
Llllllllllllllkllllkllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Listen everyone!!!
I just got the shredder attachment for the billygoat . It works great ! Less bagging ,
More compost

Thanks for showing it's capabilities. You answered my questions.
THANKS.... you just saved me money, was goin to get the hose attachment.

Can’t beat a good ol Briggs and Stratton! Craps all over the Honda version . I only run mowers with Briggs also . Good old engines

They need to make one that u can put a trashcan on the back. And lead the leaves into the trashcan

Why not use a mulching mower?
Maybe it’s just me but that things seem to suck and not in a good way. I hope the hose work at home a lot better than the vacuum.
It did really good with them wet leaves
The hose seems like it need to be bigger plus and engine with a little more horsepower!
You sound like my wife.
You use it wrong Sir.

The machine is making your work harder !💪The leaves removers is cracked! Waste of time and money! 💰
Is it throttled up? Doesn’t seem right.
No. Can’t be

Good thing I came to check this video out and saw this comment saved me a headache ✊🏾
Does it push alot of small particles and dust through the bag? Will it vacuum sand well?
Not really sure, I'm sure it does a little bit but not enough to notice.
The Hose attachment is used to get leaves out of the bushes. I am sure it will work great for that.
Not if there wet
It needs a mulcher - otherwise it looks like a lot of time spent dumping. Wonder how it is on gravel driveways: suck up the fine rocks or not?
You can mulch with the bag off it shreds them real good
Turn the throttle up! Sounds like you are running it at half speed lol
how does this thing do with twigs/sticks and pine cones?
Holy mackerel that’s a lot of leafs!
It would need a good way to get the leaves into lawn bags.
Nobody ever shows this thing on pine needles. Yeah the hose is to small for those big type leaves. Oak leaves would work.
Looks like the one you have from your Grandfather is just a vacuum without a mulching attachment.
Garden and mulch beds around shrubs and flowers
Guess I've never thought about that. Thanks!
You're loosing power detach the hose and put on the cover to cover the hole

@@PiFe00 Yes sir 👍🏻
That’s crazy, I can pick up the leaves with a tarp much quicker
Thank you for your review. This is not worth the money they’re asking.
Well !!!! I think that will be better to blow the leaves, vacuum is not a good idea.
seems... underpowered. like it should have had a bigger engine
I agree, at least something with 8hp, 10 would do the job
Underwhelmed

No wonder why these are for sale left and right They SUCk. And not in the way it’s supposed to suck no pun intended lmao
Haha yeah I sold mine. Better off for the price buying a bagger for your mower.
I agree
No wonder I see them for sale at very decent prices....
@@iwannapoop JUNK!!
I'll stick with my lawnmower...
It's not working
not big enough, my leaves will laugh at that.
I hope that was free
My lawnmower shreds better then that thing!
Hose def sucks wtf was that
