This!! I told my best friend I was gay. 5 years later we're arguing and he let's loose that he thinks gay people are an abomination and something he doesn't want to be a part of. That threw me for a loop since our friendship lasted about 8 years and he knew 3 years into our friendship. The fuhk he stay for?

Miss Blueberry a lot of straight guys initially feel the need to announce that they don’t “mind” their friend being gay (so nice of them to allow a friend a love life :p), as long as they don’t “come on to them” or touch them 😒. As if they are so irresistible and every gay person is attracted to every single one from the same gender. When you then tell them; don’t worry, you’re not my type. Or stating that you’re not attracted to them.... 🤔 most of them will instantly feel insulted and act all offended saying things like “that’s not nice, why would you say something like that” or “you don’t have to be mean” 🤣 A lot of guys feel they have to prove in a way that they are definitely straight. And after doing so will eventually flirt or fish for compliments to feed their ego :p
I'm 66 and have had many coming out experiences over the years since 1970 when I first did it. The most common reaction was "Are you sure?" in a concerned way. Then there is the liberal who says, "That's cool, I couldn't care less!" but doesn't ever want to talk about it, and it visibly uncomfortable when I mention it. Lots of those. But the worst is some guy I really want, and he says, "I'm not like that!" Happened over and over, and I later found out that they all lied.
Well... at least you know now who'll always be by your side... at least now you know that if they ever came back, you either will or won't let them back into your life but only under certain circumstances... at least now you know who's the freaks (them) and who isn't (you)... in the end you always find out who's always with you, who's always got your back, who's not a freak and will always be there for you forever no matter what

Unfortunately, in life, you will lose friends and family when you come out and live your truth. I know that for a fact. However, I am at both peace and joy with who and what I truly am as a gay man, living healthy and happy and maintaining everything and everybody I have in my life right now!
