I loved the, "... okay, sounds good, what are you doing tomorrow?" That is similar to the responses I received when I told people I was gay while I was at university. My best friend asked me, "Are you seeing anyone?" When I said yes he asked, "Then why the f#*k have I not met him?" :)

I told one of my best friend the other night I was at his house and we had a couple drinks and then I told him I was so scared and nervous cause I didn’t know what he’d be like after that but he said “ I love ya man you’re like a brother to me and that will never change our friendship you’re still my friend no matter what “ I worked it up to be such a big deal but in the end everything was fine and it’s given me the courage to tell more of my friends

Thanks for sharing this story. I love hearing people's stories about coming out. It is what helped me come out. Before I eventually told my parents 5 years ago, I watched hours and hours of coming out stories to get the courage to finally tell them. I got a little lucky telling my first friend. It was my junior year of high school and I was scared to death of telling her. It's crazy though because she was really good friends with the only out kid in my school. So I knew she would be fine with it but I was still scared to death. After telling her, I told my former biology teacher because we talked all the time. I couldn't get myself to say the words I am gay, so I did it in a science way saying I am elements 31 (gallium-GA) and 39 (yttrium-Y) lol. At first she didn't get it and then she looked at the periodic table and it finally clicked for her haha. But we spent a bunch of time after that just talking about how long I knew and if I had told anyone else.

Watching a bunch of coming out videos definitely helps to give you the courage to come out. Like I probably watched 100 of them the week before I told my parents. But also just do it when you're ready. And hopefully you're parents will be accepting.

Great story I remember when I came out to my bestfriends Jaden, Michael, and Zachary they were so happy because after I came out to them all 3 of them came out to me it was awesome that all 4 of us came out to each other when I came out to my family they were super supportive and happy.

That’s an amazing thing to happen. You must have been wondering which way the world was spinning when they all came out to you! You just never know.

This was very similar to my coming out story. I took my best friend in grad school out to dinner with the intention of telling him. Dinner came and went and, like you, I was nervous as hell because this would be my first time telling someone face-to-face. Driving him back to his house after dinner, I knew it had to be done, so I pulled in the parking lot of some strip mall and worked up the courage to tell him. I thought he would be accepting because about a month earlier, he said "I think you're gay" over lunch one day, and I just brushed the comment off at that point. After telling him that night, you could tell by how quiet he was that he was processing the news. He didn't say a whole lot, either positive or negative, and I just left it at that for the evening. I never heard from or saw him again. That was difficult initially, but I quickly viewed it as his loss. Every other person that I came out to after that was wonderfully accepting and supportive, including my entire family.

Cool glad your friend took it so well. Curious if you're still close with that person and once he was maybe a little more Wide Awake did anything change or did more questions come about?

Hey man... I’ve been wondering how you and Kyle have been... I figured ya’ll were busy since I hadn’t seen any videos uploaded. Lol. It’s weird how we all have that best guy friend that we tell first, and you are right, it helps us tell more people.
I am thankful to know you (kind of) and watch your journeys. Enjoy your day 😀

Reminds me of a couple and when I came out to them. The he could not believe it and his girlfriend could not believe that he’d not known. The point being that she’d never thought it anything to even talk about. Enjoy your guys together so please let’s see more of you as a couple.

I wonder when the video game part of this channel will begin. I would be quite interested in your history with video games and what your most anticipated game is. But if your interest in video games has disappeared over the years then that too is understandable.

Yeah, it's really not always a good thing to reveal when driving, especially if THEY'RE driving. You never know if they might get unexpectedly emotional and accidentally crash.

I’m 100% straight. I’m cool with gay guys, but I had a friend tell me that he liked me, when I thought he was straight.
That was the last time I interacted with that person.

Being Gay is NOT a choice. Being Bisexual IS a choice, i.e., being
attracted to both sexes is a CHOICE. You choose either boy or girl. But
being Gay, you're only attracted to the same sex (not a choice).
Straight people are only attracted to the opposite sex. If a Straight
person argues that it's a choice, all you need to say is the following:
"You, who are straight, chose to be with the opposite sex. That means
you were attracted to BOTH sexes and CHOSE the opposite sex, right?"
You'll then hear a pin drop on the carpet, and he or she will be at a
loss for words. Countless Gay, as well as Straight, are loving, caring,
sharing, and productive human beings. God does not make mistakes. In his infinite wisdom there's a reason why a certain percentage of the population is Gay. Why are some people left handed, while the majority is right handed? Same analogy. Period and end of story.

@Chetan Vinayak Sorry to hear your coming out story was so sad. It's much easier coming out today than in decades past. I cold tell you stories of my own too. Be yourself and stop "pleasing" other people at the expense of your own happiness. That's the mistake I made years ago. I even lost a potential loving long term boyfriend because of it, to which I regret to this very day. What happened with you? Perhaps I can help. I'm in San Diego, California, USA by the way.

@Chetan Vinayak Yes I do have What's App on my Smart phone. I would love to chat with you. I think there's a 9 hour time zone difference . How can we give each other our phone numbers without the general public seeing them? Anybody can read our comments, since this is a public forum.
