Very good! But for myself I miss something. The talent to sing! LOL! You are very blessed as a multi-talented guy. Be thankful for it, it's a great gift. I miss when you performed whole songs here... The name of the channel is Songs by Spencer.
Good question! They are completely dry. I typically make a new audio track with no effects (at 0db), and then pull the dry audio onto the track. Then, I autotune it on that dry track. Once I'm done, I bounce it in place, and pull it back onto the track with compression and reverb.
You’re amazing, as always. Keep up the great work! 🎉 Unfortunately, I recently discovered a popular AI music generator, and it has completely shaken my confidence. The quality is astounding in every aspect. As a medical doctor who plays instruments and sings songs as a hobby, I can’t help but feel a bit frustrated. What’s your perspective on this development in AI? Personally, I think it could soon act as a producer for our own music. Do you believe we’ll be able to adapt and integrate these tools into our creative processes?
I do think AI poses a threat to creators, but I'm optimistic that the technology will aid in productions rather than do the entire thing themselves. I actually have a video in the works about this very thing- comparing AI generated music to music created by humans. Overall I think people prefer to listen to music made by people. There's something icky about music that's created by a robot. Try not to let it shake your confidence. You have a unique voice and it deserves to be heard, and it's something that an algorithm will never be able to replicate. Try to take pleasure in the feeling of playing music. To me there's nothing more satisfying than playing an awesome guitar solo, or singing a heartfelt song, or creating a funky bass line. It's the most satisfying feeling in the world. And regardless of whether or not AI could generate something similar, I take pleasure in the process of making it, and that's what it's all about.
@songsbyspencer you are great. Thanks for the comment. I think I am somehow on my pessimistic side. But you are a great musician so you are confident that AI cannot beat you. As a doctor I feel the same way, that AI cannot replace my function. But, as a highly amateur musician, AI destroys me, sings better, plays better, composes and arranges better. If I am playing guitar and singing along with it, it is great pleasure. But if I want to record what I play, I am devastated. In this point your classes really would elevate amaturs like me, I believe that, but someone should have time and finances to support that way.
@@notofinterest Get a new singer? I think Autotune should be used to add an effect, not correct the voice - kinda like Cher’s song, “Do You Believe”. Gianni❤
@@gianni1646 if you had to produce susi you can‘t replace her with maria… so doesn’t work either. And autotune was developed to correct pitch, cher just used it as effect and had fun with. Anyway, its a tool like a hammer. You can use it on nails or on heads - its depending how you use it.
Never thought of that multiple takes approach... I'll try that myself! Great video!
Thanks for watching! Definitely give it a try, it's a game changer.
6:35 Logic pro’s comping and looped takes are so good
It's the best out of all the DAWs in my opinion!
It is so good that Reaper practically copied it now in version 7.
Love your videos! Keep going you’re doing a great job!🎸👍🎸
I really appreciate it! I'm having so much fun making these videos!

Thank you for watching!!
Sir make video for layering !
Always the best!!!!
This bro is a pro
Question! When you adjust your pitch using auto-tune are the vocals the dry take, or the compressed version without the reverb?
Good question! They are completely dry. I typically make a new audio track with no effects (at 0db), and then pull the dry audio onto the track. Then, I autotune it on that dry track. Once I'm done, I bounce it in place, and pull it back onto the track with compression and reverb.
Thanks for the share but bro I hope you re still releasing tracks cause you re super talented
Good vid!❤
Thank you very much!

👍👍👏👏great
Thanks for watching!!
Autotune and pitch correction is ugly.
I can understand where you're coming from
the recording was so off (not a easy part to sing!), so what to do? record it even 20x more? that doesn’t work from my experience.
