First EVER Indoor Race!! | 800m racing | therunningmaster

  • Would you believe it!? Over 30years of running and I've never competed indoors!
    I am sure there were no indoor facilities when I was a teenager - at least no 200m tracks - so that's probably the reason.
    This is also my first 800m in nearly 3years following injures and restrictions so all round is a step into the unknown...watch and see how I got on!

    Enjoyed that. Great start for your first indoor race. Although you went out quick, it was a good approach to maximise your effort for 135 seconds. What was your target time ?

      Thanks Adrian. Was looking for a bit closer to 2.10 but having not raced an 800m in almost 3 years, the pace took its toll. Almost having to learn again!

      @@TheRunningMaster ah, well maybe 32,33,33,33 would have been more realistic, but it normally takes 3 races to shock the body, so 2-10 is a good target.
