Interesting review of a rebuilt bluroc, certainly a bit different. I have one and like you really like the style and enjoy riding it. However I am disappointed in the build quality and have several issues to discuss with my dealer when it's time for the first service.
Hi, I am also interested in buying a Bluroc Spirit for commuting since I really love the retro style. However, I am also very concerned about quality since I don't want to spend 3700€ in a poor quality bike which will start to rust after a few months. Also reliability and safety is a big issue to me as I heard that tires are bad, Headlight is poor and it has no ABS (which should actually be state of the art as of now) while obviously brakepads seem not to be the best. Some people also had quite some problems with electronics and mechanical problems due to e.g. cheap sealings used... So a lot of question marks. So I wanted to know if you already have some longtime (1 Year+) experience with the bike... Would you recommend it or should I rather buy a state of the art and great quality KTM Duke (which is nice as well, but by far not that cool). Cheers and thx a lot for the answer from Austria - Andi
Hello bro, I own the Bullit Spirit let me give you my opinion on it. The bike is actually very reliable overall, I have not had any concerns in terms of build quality, yes ive had to replace indicators and lights however this is because of the old school traditional bulbs which are used in this model, unfortunately being retro style means it does not benefit from new festures such as LED lights, so always try to buy some spare bulbs if going longer distances. Yes there are a few unrefined design elements, I feel the frame welding and wiring could be cleaner but the overall strength of the bike is solid, and the simplicity of design means it is no fuss everything just works. One thing I will say and warning to all if you want to go higher speeds 60+ this bike is not for a beginner, the bike due to the low centre of gravity can get very wobbly at high speeds with the 130 rear tyre, I do recommend upgrading to 140 on the rear for stability. I also advise changing the mirrors as they are not very adjustable, bar end mirrors look great. You can modify the bars to sit them at the top of the forks which is more comfortable than the original aggressive racer position, however it does lose that cafe racer style slightly, so it is a compromise style over function. Also, over time possibly a better chain and battery, I upgraded to lighter battery and it is perfect, however this is not essential. The bike is relatively small but has a good seat height with a 140 tyre, I do not recommend if you are tall 6ft plus as this could be a bit too cramped for your legs. The last thing, this bike loves 99 octane fuel, do not give it 95 octane it will perform badly. Keep everything clean and checked over and it will work great, but yes consider whether this style of bike works for your needs.
All bikes and cars are a mechanics hobby eventually, the more you are using it the more expensive it will be become, if you want a cheap commute take the bus.
I done 200 miles on mine the other day, no issues whatsoever, the bike loves e5 petrol, don't put e10 in, it does not run as well. You will notice the difference. Thanks for the video.

@@AndreasGrubmueller Hi the key things with these bikes are, don't get them wet or be exposed to any moisture as they will rust and the electrics will play up. I cleaned mine after every journey to keep it in good order. I did have a problem with the battery going flat once but that was it. It did cut out once but that may have been an error on my behalf. As riding goes it was absolutely fantastic, tyres aren't so great in the wet, you do have to watch that you don't slide but in the dry weather they were brilliant. The speedo never worked properly nor the fuel gauge. If your after a bike to learn on for about a year its perfect, but I wouldn't keep it any longer than that as you would have big problems eventually
@Chris Watts Thanks a lot for the quick reply! Ok, so the KTM it is... Seriously? Not even the speedometer nor the fuel gauge worked from the very Start? I mean this is wat retails schuld at least look at...
@@AndreasGrubmueller exactly, the speedometer was out by 7mph and the fuel gauge was not very accurate. Very good on fuel tho. But yea go for ktm you won't have to worry about the rain then plus parts are a lot easier to get
Yup... Specially in Austria, home of KTM ☺️ Thx a lot for your valuable experience! Wish you all the best and a lot of nice (and crashless) miles on your bike!
Some vasaline on the spokes of the wheel should protecting from rust. Or does anyone know of a better product to do the job? PS: i will propably go looking for a Bluroc Tracker. Should be a better bike.
I just went to go look at a bullit blurock legend 2022. 125cc. Seems to have quite a bit of surface rust showing on the frame already, considering its only a year old. Left indicator is gone but warranty will sort it. But i think i might leave it and try get a more classic bike that'll be more reliable. Nice look tho.
Great video, j had a big maintenance day on my bike, gonna do valve clearance tomorrow though. Have found that the clutch lever is very loose though, don't know if you know how to tighten that up?
Thank you for the support, I'm going to do a video with a full service in the future but I will leave you a link with the Bullit Bluroc manual and you have there the clutch adjustment specifications and how to do it. I hope it helps you out. www.manualslib.com/manual/1981866/Bullit-Bluroc-125.html?page=23#manual

Yes! You are right, the Mutt Mongrel is 95% the same bike as the Bullit Bluroc. But there are other motorcycle out there that are similar, like the AJS street Scrambler.
@@foreignskills6698 Good evening, In Portugal, the AJS street Scrambler and Sinnis are not sold - I like the Outlaw 125 a lot. In addition to the Mutt Fat Sabbath and the Bluroc Hunt XC I also thought about buying the Monkey and the MSX as well as the Benelli TNT 125 and the Brixton Crossfire Xs 125 which I liked a lot. What do you advise me, please? Best Regards and Thanks for your Help!😃
I would definitely recommend the Honda MSX GROM or the CBF125 or If you like classic look the Money. They are a bit more money to begin with than the Chinese bike but in the long run it is better value.
I used AJS parts, from the AJS tempest roadster 125, with is the most similar to the Bullit bluroc 125 and I also got parts that are for the AJS tempest scrambler 125. But study the old parts from your bike well and then go on the AJS website and study the parts in the pictures. I know that's a big gamble but it worked for me. Genuinely buying one of these was such a mistake, problem after problem terrible build quality and over all a pain in the ass. Same with a friend and spoke to a dealer and they said the same. DO NOT BUY THESE BIKES !
I own a 2021 plate bluroc 125 and it's not the best it rides ok comfy and love the style but they don't have top end everything falls apart you need to tighten every screw every other day to make sure it stays together
