Bullit Bluroc 125 - Moto Camping with a 125

- Being inspired by several adventurous motorcyclists I decide to try out moto camping on my little Bullit Bluroc 125 as a bit of an experiment! Ten times less capacity than a BMW GS but 10x less fun? Maybe :-) In this video I take a longer ride around the Surrey Hills on my 125 loaded up with camping gear before heading to camp (in my back garden), filmed at the end of last summer with better weather it was great fun and I can't wait to try this on a bigger machine and further afield!

Bikes like this are a staple in Southeast Asia. You often see these as cheap bike taxis ferrying foreign tourists between beaches or puttering up mountain trails carrying supplies. Sturdy, cheap to maintain and reliable too.
Showing us all that life and adventure are a state of mind, this is a truly inspiring perspective. Keep going.

I like it too, looks good imo even if it doesn’t have the speed…. or the reliability….. or the build quality of the bigger brands but then again it doesn’t have the price either which is a good thing 😅

Looked into the bullit as dealer local to me has them but decided go for a yamaha xsr125. I've had a few chinese bikes and they don't like the outdoors very much and rust quite badly in my experience. However like you combining my love of camping and biking this year too. Did a walking wild camp near to where you were funnily enough. Few years ago. Filmed that and it's on my channel. Parked at Wotton village hall and then walked up Leith hill and then Holmbury hill and stayed the night up their. Was meant to be a 2 night walk but horrendous rain made me call it short. I'm Essex coast based so looking at touring east anglia. The trouble is it's so flat so not particularly scenic from the road.

Hey buddy, you might want to look into changing your brake fluid. It's looking a bit brownish. Might be a tinted reservoir so my judgment might be off if so. Cheers

Great vid Mark and thanks for sharing. I’m in a bit of a dilemma as I’m looking to purchase a bike in the next month or so and are looking at a 125cc like yours. I do have my full license which I got in 2016 but have barely ridden since for various reasons!
I work in Bristol city centre now so one of the main reasons I’m getting a bike is for commuting which would be down roads with a 40-50mph limit so not motorways, but I just don’t know whether to get a bluroc 125 or go straight in at a 500cc commuter!
What do you think?
I need to ease myself back into riding hence thinking of starting small but also don’t want to then be frustrated with lack of power.
Hi Stuart, I think you’d get quickly frustrated with a bike like this for commuting both from a power perspective and probably on a build quality perspective too, if it was me I’d probably go for one of the 350cc Royal Enfields or even a 250cc Mutt which is similar to the Bullit but with a little more grunt….. or depending on budget wait for one of the new 400cc Triumphs that look pretty awesome! Gah! Too much choice 🙈
