been seeing these guys since my first concert when i was 17 in 1994....46 years old now and i still try to catch them every year!..its usually what gets me and my buddies off our old married asses for a night out!
the crowd seems to be local youth mostly, that clearly never heard of Dinosaur Jr , they stand and listen, never being aware that they saw one of the greatest bands around
Norwegian crowds tend to be very reserved. Unless it's a terrible Swedish danseband or old Norwegian country acts where boomers who only watch a band once a year get insanely drunk and try to shag their best friend's wife
6 years later let`s not talk about the audience but about the band itself , damn good i would say, it was a very good performance

the euro crowds in the late 80s and early 90s were insane at Dinosaur Jr shows no doubt!
I bet everyone went home, got on TH-cam, and fell in love with the "new" band of old men they heard that day. Dino Jr. was the soundtrack of my youth... I'm an old man too now!

Is Better youngs like of rock or other styles, in actual days rock is very weak...
We’re not old, my fellow gen-Xer. Not if this was the soundtrack of your youth. I knew guys that were old by the time we got to eighth grade, lol. It was all a state of mind. A few years ago, somebody tried to insult me by saying, “you’ll never grow up.” I replied, “not if growing up means becoming an asshole like you.”
I dig the cool way the bassist bang the shit of that bass.
For you people who think Norwegians looks stone faced, you’re kinda right that we’re reserved. Especially in Oslo. Yet this festival started out as real sitting and chilling out in the park festival and grew bigger. I’m sure Dinosaur Jr is completely unknown to most of this crowd.
BTW. really great recorded live show. Best I’ve heard of them.

Wow! I've seen videos of them playing all of these songs but this is the first time i'm seeing a live version of Pick Me Up. That solo was eargasmic!

I agree with the description 100% this video should have over a million views it rocks. The version of bulbs of passion crushes the original album version and love the set list. This band is so way ahead of its time our kids will be rocking to dinosaur jr in 2030, and I'm glad I had the privilege to see them many times!!
dbooshuck, i couldn't agree more. Some of my daughter's friends in their early 20s love DJ and their stuff from almost 30(!) years ago still sounds fresh to me. Thanks to the uploader.

there is an evil demon who controls all the footage of live performances and makes sure that there is never the right angle for people who are trying to watch the guitar playing and learn the song.

Idk man, they definitely give them praise. Saw a video of the Melvins playing in Norway, and the crowd seemed like they were dead/made of stiff Norweigan wood haha but at the end they went wild. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were in awe and being extra attentive.

The sound was weird this entire show. J's vocals are really low in the mix the entire time, Lou's mic is either not on at all (Bulbs of Passion) or really fucking loud (Just Like Heaven), and you can't even hear J's guitar during Been There All The Time (except for the solos, for some reason.) They're playing phenomenally, but technical difficulties keep popping up.
I'd be curious to know where you got the video from.

Seems sedatives are the drug of choice at this festival.
The tracks on here from Beyond are on fire. 20 times better than the albums versions. The production is so weak on that album - Not enough Lou and Murph in the mix.

:) 31:05 During "Crumble" that one group of cute Norwegian girls up front seemed to dig the music, but not many others. I think that the general attitude there seems to just stand/sit there and listen to the music instead of expressing it outwardly. From the Melvins Norway set I gathered as much as well. Oh well, what a great setlist.
Those girls were stoned out of existence.

I was at the Melvins show(Oslo 2007) as well, we may seem cold but everybody who was there loved them. Same with Dinosaur Jr.
