the crowd seems to be local youth mostly, that clearly never heard of Dinosaur Jr , they stand and listen, never being aware that they saw one of the greatest bands around
Norwegian crowds tend to be very reserved. Unless it's a terrible Swedish danseband or old Norwegian country acts where boomers who only watch a band once a year get insanely drunk and try to shag their best friend's wife
been seeing these guys since my first concert when i was 17 in 1994....46 years old now and i still try to catch them every year!..its usually what gets me and my buddies off our old married asses for a night out!
I dig the cool way the bassist bang the shit of that bass. For you people who think Norwegians looks stone faced, you’re kinda right that we’re reserved. Especially in Oslo. Yet this festival started out as real sitting and chilling out in the park festival and grew bigger. I’m sure Dinosaur Jr is completely unknown to most of this crowd. BTW. really great recorded live show. Best I’ve heard of them.
I bet everyone went home, got on TH-cam, and fell in love with the "new" band of old men they heard that day. Dino Jr. was the soundtrack of my youth... I'm an old man too now!
We’re not old, my fellow gen-Xer. Not if this was the soundtrack of your youth. I knew guys that were old by the time we got to eighth grade, lol. It was all a state of mind. A few years ago, somebody tried to insult me by saying, “you’ll never grow up.” I replied, “not if growing up means becoming an asshole like you.”
There’s 4 minutes of just crowd at the beginning - time stamps are in the description so skip through using them. I kept the video complete - rather than remove the beginning - it’s simple - skip it don’t moan about it ......
I agree with the description 100% this video should have over a million views it rocks. The version of bulbs of passion crushes the original album version and love the set list. This band is so way ahead of its time our kids will be rocking to dinosaur jr in 2030, and I'm glad I had the privilege to see them many times!!
dbooshuck, i couldn't agree more. Some of my daughter's friends in their early 20s love DJ and their stuff from almost 30(!) years ago still sounds fresh to me. Thanks to the uploader.
there is an evil demon who controls all the footage of live performances and makes sure that there is never the right angle for people who are trying to watch the guitar playing and learn the song.
Wow the Out There here is incredible. These Norwegian kids are dumbfounded by the awesomeness of J’s guitar and surely know the rest of the day not be as good as a J solo
The sound was weird this entire show. J's vocals are really low in the mix the entire time, Lou's mic is either not on at all (Bulbs of Passion) or really fucking loud (Just Like Heaven), and you can't even hear J's guitar during Been There All The Time (except for the solos, for some reason.) They're playing phenomenally, but technical difficulties keep popping up.
I've been scouring the Internet trying to find a good live recording of It's Me. I thought for sure this show would have it but nope. If you know where one is, please please reply and link me :0)
Idk man, they definitely give them praise. Saw a video of the Melvins playing in Norway, and the crowd seemed like they were dead/made of stiff Norweigan wood haha but at the end they went wild. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were in awe and being extra attentive.
:) 31:05 During "Crumble" that one group of cute Norwegian girls up front seemed to dig the music, but not many others. I think that the general attitude there seems to just stand/sit there and listen to the music instead of expressing it outwardly. From the Melvins Norway set I gathered as much as well. Oh well, what a great setlist.
to dejan that said "coldest audience ever" I could understand why, some of them probably never even heard this band before. The best illustration is someone reading the bible for the first time. Probably like what the heck. this is different, but just like the greatest book in the world the greatest band in the world takes time and effort in what is put in to it to appreciate. THANKS UPLOADER!!!
The tracks on here from Beyond are on fire. 20 times better than the albums versions. The production is so weak on that album - Not enough Lou and Murph in the mix.
the crowd seems to be local youth mostly, that clearly never heard of Dinosaur Jr , they stand and listen, never being aware that they saw one of the greatest bands around

6 years later let`s not talk about the audience but about the band itself , damn good i would say, it was a very good performance
been seeing these guys since my first concert when i was 17 in 1994....46 years old now and i still try to catch them every year!..its usually what gets me and my buddies off our old married asses for a night out!
One of the all time great bands. Crowd seem clueless as to what they are witnessing
the euro crowds in the late 80s and early 90s were insane at Dinosaur Jr shows no doubt!
This gig gives me a norwegian wood.
hold up-
I dig the cool way the bassist bang the shit of that bass.

what i said a couple of years ago
@@herman0167 yeah but he said it better and was there.
Wow! I've seen videos of them playing all of these songs but this is the first time i'm seeing a live version of Pick Me Up. That solo was eargasmic!
I bet everyone went home, got on TH-cam, and fell in love with the "new" band of old men they heard that day. Dino Jr. was the soundtrack of my youth... I'm an old man too now!
But is this good.
Is Better youngs like of rock or other styles, in actual days rock is very weak...

9:08 coolest guitar sound in the world
Filip Fox best guitarist alive.
Just a wah pedal and flanger mixed with the tremelo arm making it sound like it’s going fast and different ways
Dinosaur just get better and better, coolest band.
Holy wow! Murph on the drums is killin' it!!!
hes always been
Ive listened to a lot of dinosaur jr in my time, they have never sounded better than this gig
There’s 4 minutes of just crowd at the beginning - time stamps are in the description so skip through using them.

Best rock band left. No contest.
That outro to Sludgefeast is awesome
I can't wait to get to it in 23 minutes or so!!!
They sound great here. Norwegian Wood looks like a cool festival too.
This performance is so good
Amazing
breathtaking.
What a great show
I remember seeing D. Jr in concert Orlando, Florida 1992... Trust me when I tell ya.... no one was sitting
there is an evil demon who controls all the footage of live performances and makes sure that there is never the right angle for people who are trying to watch the guitar playing and learn the song.
😂😂😂 try being a band with a dude who won't even show you the parts... Just keep trying you'll get it eventually.
Wow the Out There here is incredible. These Norwegian kids are dumbfounded by the awesomeness of J’s guitar and surely know the rest of the day not be as good as a J solo
Killer set list
Outrageous! Insanely good! But the crowd don't seem to understand what's happening🙄
thats it right there, I think they are all stuck in awe.
They were there for the Food Fighters that was the headline artist that night.
@@user-em9xr3gc2q🤦
Gruppo di un fascino unico nel panorama rock
At 1:00:17 during Forget the Swan J sings the bridge from Cats in a Bowl… funny!
great spot!
12:12 When youve had too many hash pipes before the gig
wow! what a set list.
That bassist is hecking awesome. Tthey all are.
What a great capture and show!
haha is this the same festival that Josh Homme went nuts on a heckler??
no entiendo como en el segundo tema la gente de noruega no pogea...sera la mierda de cerveza que venden alli?
Sludgefeast, holy shit
melted my brain
Tanks
This is RIGHT BEFORE everyone was always using cell phones for every of lifes experiences!
Murph is such a big part of this band. Unsung.
I keep wondering... Why Lou´s mic is always so f´ low? In most of the shows I´ve seen its pretty damn hard to hear him
The sound was weird this entire show. Great!!!
They are the shit!
Pick Me Up is one of the greatest songs on guitar ever recorded. I love this fucking band. Best trio band since the police.
not yo la tengo though?
JPBrains sludgefest*
Can someone make a super cut of j soloing?
Amazingly no cell phones. Doesn't seem like 2008.
Thanks, Not my work! But did take 11 hours to upload :)
does anybody know which pedals he uses for his solos?
premier guitar did a video on his pedal board
Mostly just his Muff, sometimes a wammy
I've been scouring the Internet trying to find a good live recording of It's Me. I thought for sure this show would have it but nope. If you know where one is, please please reply and link me :0)
I can never say 100% - but I’m pretty sure they have never played it live - if they have I have not heard it.
Never played
Playing great music to an audience of dead norwegian wood!
Idk man, they definitely give them praise. Saw a video of the Melvins playing in Norway, and the crowd seemed like they were dead/made of stiff Norweigan wood haha but at the end they went wild. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were in awe and being extra attentive.
Brazil 2022
12:12 Come on! :D
Wow lol
J. Mascis is God.
Fuck..gira

Those girls were stoned out of existence.
TeensBrain AS THEY SHOULD BE AT A DINOSAUR JR. SHOW! Where apparently they were the only ones who even accidentally enjoyed the music. ;)
+Ocean Sage
I was at the show, all the kids were waiting to so Foo Fighters...
+Ocean Sage
I was at the Melvins show(Oslo 2007) as well, we may seem cold but everybody who was there loved them. Same with Dinosaur Jr.
nRoy70 I'm just sort of kidding. It looks like they were well received. I was just joking because of the dead pan faces of a lot of the audience. :)
I'd be curious to know where you got the video from.
oooh... I thought an hour would last longer :(
:-P
sucks that i can't hear lou yell bulbs of passion

24:57 🤤🤤
pedazo band
I don't think there is one wrong comment here.
OHHELLYEAH
27:38 very load.... :D 👰
Seems sedatives are the drug of choice at this festival.
Just figured it out. Steve Vai + Neil Young = J Mascis
Rory Gallagher + Neil Young
freesofree. net , Most of the uploads have come from there. Amazing site!
They sound amazing....
I'd be dancing like a tard if I was there.
24:05
los noruegos son apaticos que t kagas
dat boi on duh bass. smh
damn j, stop tuning your guitar! you sound better when it's out of tune anyway!
Trying to solo with a detuned guitar is hell
Dead crowd
Some hot women in the audience.
yes yes mark t
No matter what kind of video, there's always that lecherous idiot....
They look like children.
