I really wish this video was like 2 hours longer .. your passion and excitement for games is magical dude... I could watch you tell stories of your past for a very long time...
10/10 games for me: Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Trails in the Sky, Xenogears, Tales of Symphonia, Breath of the Wild, Persona 5, Metroid Prime, Trials of Mana, The World Ends with You, Xenoblade, Perfect Dark, and Earthbound are my personal picks. Each of them still hold a special place in my heart to this day.
my only problem with Persona 5 Is #1 , the actual gameplay battles imo are nowhere as masterfully executed as the story ( this applies to the whole franchise ) , and #2 , the extremely repetitve and boring traversal of the long dungeons. The cinematics , characters , dialogue , and plot are easily a masterful 10 , but the actual Interactive gameplay leaves me wanting and knocks It out of an honest 10/10 for me , no matter how much slack I cut It mediocre gameplay Is a deal breaker. Persona 5 and Persona franchise's core battle mechanics/sytem In general just dosen't feel fun enough for a 10 imo. Basically I'd rather watch It cinematically as a movie more than I want to play It as a videogame , and that's a problem. I did enjoy Scrambles/Strikers battle system more for whatever that's worth. I hope they keep experimenting with battle systems.
@@BlueMilkJedi There's lots of anime/toy stores in GH. It's also the best place to get you're gunpla kits. Most of the stores are in shopsville/shopsville plus and vmall.
Rovi Dela Rosa ok thanks hopefully when the craziness of the world gets back to normal I’ll be able to get back to my yearly trip to the Philippines and I’ll make sure to check this place out. Good thing I always bring 2 big bags full of goodies for my wife’s family because on the way home by the looks of these places I’m gong to need them lol.
Chrono Trigger is a 11/10 for me. Everything in this game is a phenomenon, the music, the character/monster designs, the story, the pacing, the multi-endings, a few unexpected twists and of course the combat!
Chrono Trigger is indeed a masterpiece; I'm not even a huge JRPG fan (though I've played my fair share of them) and I just think the game is amazing. It is very hard to criticize it - like, what could they have done better? I think it's an absolutely seminal and legendary game, a true masterpiece of the 16 bit era. The graphics were amazing, the design of all the characters was iconic and memorable (thanks, Akira Toriyama!), the design of the world, the story, the SOUNDTRACK is one of the greatest of ALL TIME, the style and gameplay of the game captures you right away, the scale is epic, and it doesn't drag out for too long. I think it's really the best classic RPG ever made.
When I borrowed and played my friend's copy of Chrono Trigger on DS (and did so on a long vacation), I got hooked and completed the game. It's still impressive that the original game came out in '95 with how extensive the experience is. And my playthrough didn't dip into New Game Plus and its potential exploits.
If I can offer a contrary opinion for the sake of balance, it's a 6/10. Tiny world map, too short, repetitive and little depth to the combat or character building. Just so someone else like me, who's played a lot of RPGs, doesn't come along and be disappointed by this "greatest RPG ever". It's just not what I look for, though if you like it then cool, I thought it was OK, not terrible but not great, Dragon Quest and FF are much better JRPGs from that period. Though from a SNES technical standpoint it's excellent I'll admit.
Lunar: Silver Star Story won my heart like no other game has ever done before or since. I'm eternally grateful that you brought me into the world of Dragon Quest and I can't wait to play some of the ones you mentioned in this video.
I just got the psp version, it's been a long time since I beat the GBA version. Never beat the psx version, but I owned it. The psp version seems really good so far, I'm liking it.
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete is such a special experience. I lived that game for probably two weeks or so the first time I played it - just complete immersion.Dragon Quest XI is quite similar in how invested in its world you become. The only thing is it took me almost 400 hours to complete DQXI (because I insisted on playing on Draconian Quest on my first play-through). The game is almost too massive, but what an experience.
PLEASE feel free to give a full review of Xenogears. I would watch that in a heartbeat. I am so glad to see it on this list, as it is my favourite RPG of all time. It was the most important game of it's time, thematically, I felt.
Amazing game. My only regret is that the OST lacks variety ( not quality) because they aren’t enough different tracks so the same tracks keep coming back.
Completely agree, Xenogears in my opinion isn't only one of the best JRPGs ever created and written, it's one of the best stories and world's ever written. A masterpiece in its time, and now. I cannot see another game being made with as much ambition as Xenogears did, ever again.
Metal Gear Solid 1 for me is a game that I played with no expectation at all, but was utterly blown away by it at the end. It was the first game ever that made me realize for the first time ever that a video game now has the ability to rival Hollywood movies in terms of story telling
Xenogears is easily the biggest surprise of my entire gaming career. I wasn't ready for it. It's crazy well written, with amazing characters and fun combat.
@@Ytnzy250 persona is a pretty unique RPG its a high school simulator but also a rpg with monster catching mechanics. I would definitely recommend persona 4 and 5.
@@xminnis To be honest, 4 is amazing but not 10 worthy to be honest, even for it's time. The dungeons are the exact same copy pasted corridors, and the gameplay is very basic, 9/5 for me.
It's just a figure of speech. These videos require massive energy output, so after the camera stops rolling, he's an empty shell that goes into hibernation.
Thanks for a great channel, excellent content! 10/10 games for me? There are so many... But here are some: - Xenoblade Chronicles - Tetris (GB) - Lylat Wars - Breath of the Wild - Ace Attorney Trilogy - Final Fantasy VI - Chrono Trigger - Dragon Quest VIII - Metroid Fusion - Fire Emblem Awakening - 999 - Super Mario Bros - Super Mario 64 - Dark Souls
Absolutely. I played all three of them at least once, but i finished the first one at least 5 or 6 times on all the difficulty settings. Loved it a lot!
Couldn’t agree with you more about Xenogears...it’s huge, dark, epic, and there really is nothing like it in existence....still blows me away that a game like that came out on the ps1, just an absolutely fascinating game
It's hard for people to understand that haven't played it. Since like you said nothing has ever even come close to it since it was made. Literally greatest game of all time for me unmatched and sadly it may never actually be and that makes me sad.
I played it, didn't finish it. Tower of Babel sucks so much that I completely drop it. Sorry the platforming on that game is so bad, and to this day I am still asking why put platforming on an RPG. In addition, the enemy encounter on that game is so high that it breaks the pacing especially in long dungeons.
Nice list Johnny. These are just a few of my 10/10 games: -Bioshock -Castlevania SOTM -Super Metroid -Dead Space -Resident Evil 2 -Persona 4 -Bloodborne
I am a JRPG man through and through, so it's gonna be like that: 1) Final Fantasy IX 2) Final Fantasy XII 3) Final Fantasy X 4) Dragon Quest VIII 5) Chrono Trigger 6) Persona 2: Innocent Sin 7) Kingdom Hearts II 8) Blue Dragon 9) Persona 5 10) Breath of Fire IV 11) Skies of Arcadia 12) Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 13) Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey 14) Dark Souls (the first one) 15) Tales of Vesperia 16) Suikoden II 17) Vagrant Story 18) The Legend of Mana 19) Phantasy Star IV 20) Parasite Eve 2 Numbers are just for the convenience. It's the games that will be forever in my heart. I can replay them anytime. So many great memories. I even teared up and thought about deep meanings and other stuff from some of them. But yeah, FFIX holds a special place in my heart. I can simply say that FFIX IS me, my heart and soul. Every single element is ideal for me. What an amazing adventure it is! I hope that sometime later it'll get the special treatment like FFVII getting now with the remake, so all the people around the world experience that unforgettable story!
Ever play Suikoden 5? Love that game, a bit flawed in parts, but one of the best stories for any JRPG I've ever played. Y's 8 it's also awesome, if you like JRPGs.
@@jeffjackson9679 Totally agree! I love all the Suikodens, especially 2,3 and 5. It's a shame that Konami abandoned franchise (like all the other IPs)... @@andrewbryant1388 I personally prefer Minish Cap as well. It's highs are higher than LTTP. However, LTTP is probably more well rounded, so I get why it's ranked the highest of all 2d Zeldas
pi ck Really ? I can’t think of one. A lot of these 10/10 retro games just haven’t aged well. A 10/10 must not be pretty much near perfect but still be a 10/10 till this day. So many older games I once loved that I have revisited have been nothing but disappointing. Uncharted trilogy and Last of Us for me personally. Sluggish, badly aged controls and gameplay for me with these two classic franchises. Some games are best left to memory.
Lee Croft I think Tomb Raider aged well. The remakes are beautiful and fun. Lara Croft is still bad ass and I think still one of the best female game protagonists ever created. She’s not over hyped or overdone, which leads to no one ruining her legacy of completely tanking games. Sure, the older games were good and some awful, but overall I think aged perfectly and is a 10/10. Like metal gear solid also.
"The sun and everything aligned on that day for that game .." That's for me the key phrase that hits home. One of those for me was SMT Digital Devil Saga.
Unfortunately I just found your page several weeks ago. What a refreshing environment you have created with your stories, game opinions and reviews. Especially, when the world seems to be going crazy. Keep it up brother!
Great List. Breath of the Wild is my all time fav as well so I’m excluding that. Here are some of mine: Ocarina of Time Chrono Trigger Metroid Prime Metal Gear Solid Final Fantasy 6 The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
God of War, Persona 5, Diablo 2, Mass Effect 2, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid 1 & 3
I’m 100% with you on Xenogears. It holds this almost mythical place in my memory and in a parallel universe it could have been bigger than Final Fantasy.
Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, 7, 9 and x. Tekken 7, 2 and 3. Donkey Kong 1 and 2 (SNES) Sonic 2, Zelda: Link to the Past. Mario Brothers 3. Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Star Ocean: The last hope. Soul Calibur 2 and 3. Smack down: Here comes the pain. Final fantasy 7 remake. Resident evil 4.

10/10 Games for me The Last of Us Breath of the Wild Skyrim Fallout 3 Dragon Quest XI Dragon Quest V Final Fantasy IV Chrono Trigger Super Metriod Super Street Fighter II Turbo Donkey Kong Country 2 Yoshi´s Island
Yes! Halo 1-3 in my teens and early 20s was legendary! It came out at the perfect time for me. My friends and I spent 1000s of hours in co-op and split screen multiplayer. Like you said, still probably my favorite gaming experience(s). Even into my 30s with a wife and kids, a group of us still, now living all around the US, get together once a year for a weekend to play Halo.
10/10 games personal for me are Zelda: a Link to the past, Octopath traveler, Castlevania SOTN, TMNT 3 the Manhattan project, Battletoads and Double dragon, RE 2 remake, Streets of Rage 4, Goldeneye wii, Samus returns 3ds.
The most recent “perfect” game I’ve played was dragon quest xi. All time faves are chrono trigger, mario kart 64, mgs3, uncharted 2 - just to name a few
The witcher 3 for me! I love everything fantasy and medieval. The beauty, characters, dark themes, exploration and a massive world to explore has given me more emotions than any other game!
Ori and the blind forest, Breath of the wild, Metroid Prime, Dragon Quest XI, Mario 64, Yakuza 0, Super Monkey Ball, Super Mario Bros., THPS 2, Mirror's Edge.
I'm actually doing my first playthrough of the Prime series. I just beat the Spider Bomb Guardian. For how inspired the world is, I think the bosses could really use some work. But overall it's a small thing because I adore how internally consistent the exploration feels. The loading screens are disguised as elevators and twisting doors, which I appreciate for example.
@Darth Wheezius great take wow, yeah because Goldeneye, Turok 2, and Medal of Honor had massive levels with far draw distance along clean textures and ran at a steady 30 instead of 20 or as low as 10-15... Halo was inarguably a next gen leap in A.I. and general rendering from the Ps1 and N64, does that mean it's a masterpiece? No but it's clear you just have a personal dislike for the series, hurting your credibility. Metroid Prime is a masterpiece no doubt of that, it's gorgeous and runs at 60 but go jump on the Nintendo superfan train since you dislike PS and Xbox so much. The 6th gen was loaded with creativity, absolutely loaded with great games across all platforms.
only your channel can put me back in the past so completely. your description of seeing SF2 for the first time really brought me back to my first sighting. Great memories.
The memories in Lost Odyssey are some of the best writing I've seen in video games. Some really emotional stories. I liked the way it just used backgrounds and sound effects for the memories and left a lot of the visualisation to your imagination. I really hope we get a sequel or a spiritual successor one day from the same creators.
When you mentioned Halo CE and included the theme music, it really hit home to me when I was growing up. Ever since Halo was introduced to the world, I've been a die hard Halo fan. Halo will always be the #1 videogame franchise to me!!
-Tetris -Super Mario 3 -Legend of Zelda -Super Mario World -Dragon Quest VIII -Ocarina Of Time -Streetfighter II -Final Fantasy IX -Resident Evil 4 -Mario 64 -Metal Gear Solid 3 -Bioshock -Knights of the old Republic. -Final Fantasy VII remake. -BloodBourne -Persona 5 Just to name a few..
For me Super Mario 64 is the most perfect game I have ever played. I was so in love when this was first released. When my son was three years old it was the first game to get him really into 3D gaming. And now in 2020 my daughter is 3 and she also loves running around in it. I wish Nintendo would remaster this in 4K from the ground up.
"Terranigma" - The best SNES game (action RPG) that the US never got. I loved the action, the historical and real world references, the way that I as Ark/as the main character could influence the prosper and growth of cities that I visited, the many likable characters of varying lifeforms, the absolutely amazing soundtrack, the splendid action. An absolute 10/10 for me. RIP to studio Quintet. I'd love Square-Enix (game got published by Enix on the SNES) to get the rights and re-release the game for the whole world at some day yet.
@@IndohNintendo I'm not from the US so I actually don't know. Could be on ebay...No...Google...There is an online store called shopflashbackgames.com that seemingly offers what you are looking for. =3
This feeling when you enter an arcade as a kid and you hear that fantastic Street Fighter II sounds and music for the first time, you see the crowd standing around the cabinet, your heart starts to race and than you see sprites so huge and colorful like never before. While playing you feel the competitive nature of the game and you are hooked forever. Nothing compares to arcades. Same goes for Final Fight. I was never a huge FPS fan, but Halo was a perfect game. Better than all the other Halos that followed. Great picks.
OH MY GOD! after the day I´ve had, coming home to this on my playlist is an absolute blessing! I dont think I´ve ever heard so much love in a TH-cam video. You always make me smile man, the world could do with more people like you! BTW Marvel VS Capcom 2 was, and still is a 10/10 for me. Also, flying in to that beach, watching the fight between the NPC´s, then just seamlessly jumping in, in Halo was truly an awe inspiring moment.
Chrono Trigger to me is a perfect game. Especially the DS port, you get the SNES game with the anime cutscenes from the PS1 port and more space to get all the endings
Here’s just a few... Megaman X on SNES ...Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on Wii ...XCOM: Enemy Within on PC ...Breath of The Wild on Switch ...Mario 64 on N64 ...etc.
Had the same thought. So many memorable characters/lore, difficulty is perfect, the artstyle, the combat is so fluid and has so many options for attack/manuverability and the soundtrack is just amazing
@@jamesphelps2793 For some reason I always mistake one for another... sadly Ori 2 is like ten times more expensive than Ori 1, so probably I'll never play it.
Great list! GTA V, The Last of Us, Smash Bros Ultimate, Pokemon G&S, God of War 2, Donkey Kong Country, Tekken 3, Super Metroid and Mario Odyssey are also 10/10 IMO
Xenogears is probably my favorite game of all time, I find myself thinking about the big twists and turns that you go through in that story. I have always wondered what could have happened if they had the budget and support that Square gave to final fantasy.
The team that made that game is now Monolithsoft and Nintendo let's them basically spend whatever they want and Takahashi has said he wants to remake the game for years but Square won't sell the IP...
If only the second disc was finished with a mainline FF budget. Because of this I struggle with giving It 10/10. If It was finished It would be THE greatest JRPG of the 90's *unquestionably* . As Is It's still a masterpiece , but the Incompletness Is significant enough to affect what could've been imo. Still an easy 9.3/10 for me.
My 100/100 games: - Final Fantasy 6, 7, 9 - World of Warcraft (Classic and Burning Crusade) - Metal Gear Solid - Half Life - Chrono Trigger - Resident Evil - Tomb Raider - Tetris - Super Mario Bros - Doom - Legend of Zelda - Minecraft
@@ghost2031 I didn't want to make my list too broad, to deemphasize my top 3, but Lucas Arts games could easily take up my entire top 20 list of perfect games.
💖VIRTUA FIGHTER 5 final showdown. THE BEST 3D fighter. The deepest fighting game the most elegant with BEST ANIMATION best transitions BEST physics in wich you can be the most creative BEYOND ALL other fighting games. Loved the story about Halo. Haven't heard you talk about it before. Bought back my own memories of borrowing the disk off my friend Pokemon Heartgold, Monster Hunter 4U Those two are 10/10s for me. There are more but those two are at the top of my head
My 1st jrpg. Xc1 is a 10 for me. Gears is a solid 3rd before xc1 and dq8. Hope they will release the ps1 version on switch. Its still great even with 2nd disc fiasco. Didnt even understood the whole plot till now with the internet age yet its still very good and grand story.
Less then 20 seconds in, already seeing XenoGears. This gonna be good... As for my 10/10 games: XenoGears Resident Evil: Code Veronica (somewhat clouded by nostalgia, perphaps) Shenmue II Civilization II Mortal Kombat 3 Jagged Alliance 2
I come from the Atari/Nes era when they first came out but; SNES (FFIV) was the game that made that huge impact on defining me as a gamer & what genre (RPG) I like the most. Then (Breath of Fire II) continued that feeling, years later it was Followed by Sega's (Phantasy Star IV) then (The Legend of Dragoon). All of these woke that nostalgia feelings of (FFIV).
How'd you feel seeing the SNES games on switch? For me, I was so hyped mainly because these masterpieces will be able to be loved for another generation
FFIV did the same to me. I loved the characters and the story. I must have been in 6th or 7th grade when it came out. I remember bringing my SNES with me on vacation to the beach and i beat it one evening there. It had a profound impact on me. I also really enjoyed the 3d version on the DS many years later. Such a great game! I think i even like it better than 6 though i admit that objectively 6 is the better of the two.
Great list of 10’s!!! My list also consists of complete game changers for me which really had a profound impact on my life. Super Mario Bros. 3, Streets of Rage 2, 007 Goldeneye, WCW/NWO Revenge & WWF No Mercy, Resident Evil 2 (original & remake), THPS 1-3, GTA 3 & VC, Halo, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Dead Rising, Gears 1 & 2, Batman Arkham Asylum & City are really just some that come to mind.
Wow someone else who loves WWF No Mercy. I do too. I played WCW/NWO, then WCW/NWO Revenge came out, then, WWF No Mercy. I played them all, each better than the last. Da diggity, da diggity dog.
My personal favorite game is "The Legend Of Zelda" Twilight Princesses. Ever since I was a younger kid I have always been in love with the game. The music, tone, dungeons, the fantastic finale.... I just adore that game with everything in me. It's a 10 for me for sure! (Just my personal opinion)
oh heck yeah. there is something about experiencing a zelda game as a kid. for me it was ocarina of time. my step dad came home one day with a copy and it blew my 5 year old mind.
I was playing ff7 couldn’t finish it and even my other favorite legend of dragoon couldn’t finish it both too the end but gave up for reason I would never know
10/10 ? mm Dark Souls Saga, Bloodborne, Sekiro. Yes for my personal taste From Soft makes games that are just way above everything else, pure art that is right up my alley. pd: I would also mention World of Warcraft, what that game made you feel back in the day was truly incredible.
I’d have to Include these as 10/10s Zelda: Twilight Princess Mass Effect 2 Dragon Age Origins Elder Scrolls: Oblivion KOTOR II Metal Gear Solid 3 Bioshock Infinite The Witcher 3 Fallout 2 Age of Empires II Civ IV That’s pretty much it imo.
Super Smash Bros Melee, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Soul Calibur 2, Monster Hunter FU, Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario Odyssey, Deus Ex- Human Revolution, Final Fantasy Crisis Core
This is my 10/10 games for me: A.C.E: Another Century Episode I &II Super Robot Wars ALPHA 3 Phantasy Star IV Shinobi (ps2) Demon's Souls Shining Force II
Streets of rage 2! Love EVERYTHING about! The levels the difficulty the characters the music the sound efxs storyline the look!!!! So many memories it’s dear to my heart! Great vid keep it up!
Some of my 10/10: Fallout 4, LoK-Soul Reaver, Link´s Awakening, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Skyrim, NFS: Underground 2, Super Mario World, God of War 2, Super Metroid
Some good picks there. Only one I strongly disagree with is Fallout 4. I love the fallout series but 4 was so watered down. Was an extremely average game.
One big one for me is Borderlands 2. When I first played Borderlands, I was floored. It was a game that I never knew I wanted and I fell in love with it. I still wouldn't say it was a perfect game, but then Borderlands 2 came out and it was definitely a 10/10 for me. It took everything great about the first one and made them even better. Such a fantastic game. Another one for me is Dragon Quest VIII. I could go on and on about it, but it was/is an amazing game. I can't put into words how I felt when I first played it around 15 years ago. It was so beautiful to look at, the music was top notch, the characters were amazing, the story was amazing, the combat was amazing, it was just a perfect game for me. Also, I just wanna say how much I love this channel. It is such a simple format but the way you present the subject matter lures me in. I don't typically sit through a lot of youtube videos, but I always sit through yours. Hats off to you, sir!
Street Fighter 2 goes down for me the greatest game of all time. It was so popular that the local high school by me had one in their break room not kidding. I wanted the SNES version so bad that I spent $120($220 in today's money) for a Super Famicom version that came out 6 months earlier. Nothing had that profound of an impact for me back in '91-'92. Everything about that game is completely iconic, characters, moves, music, art. That game was lightning in a bottle as it completely surpass the first Street Fighter in words that you can't describe. I don't think there is a sequel of a video game that was that far ahead ever as this was. And the craziest thing about all of this was that Capcom completely dropped the ball with a legit follow up to Street Fighter 2. Championship Edition was an extremely smart move but I never really got the story on how they couldn't get a Street Fighter 3 out by 1993/1994. Where Capcom failed Midway filled in the shoes with Mortal Kombat being able to get different versions out that were amazing. '91-'93 were just awesome arcade years though they were the last of the arcade years and they really took a beating after that and then went away.
Great list Johnny I totally agree on them all. Great games. For me, it's World of Warcraft, Diablo 2, Super Smash Brothers, Final Fantasy 7, Warcraft 3 Custom Maps, Hearthstone, Resident Evil 1 Directors Cut It breaks my heart that Blizzard is full on corporate greed overlords at this point and I hate their practices, but I can't lie about how much I love their games and it has nothing to do with it being the Blizzard name or brand, they just happened to make a ton of my favorite games of all time. RIP in peace WC3 Custom Maps, you are already sorely missed.

Chrono Trigger is a 11/10 for me. Everything in this game is a phenomenon, the music, the character/monster designs, the story, the pacing, the multi-endings, a few unexpected twists and of course the combat!
Chrono Trigger is a true masterpiece. It is not my #1 favorite, but it is close. The music though is without a doubt the best IMO.
Agree 100% on chrono trigger.
Metal Gear Solid. I played it with open windows during winter time...
MGS and MGS3 are definitely in my top 3 or 4 ever.

Id give hollow knight a 10 out of 10, this game is a masterpiece and puts soooo many companies that do triple A games to shame
Hard agree.
I have a love, hate relationship with hollow knight. It is so amazing that it ruined almost all other side scrollers for me. Absolute masterpiece!
9/10 from me. Which is fantastic IMO.
May be a 9.5.
I give it a 9 out of 10...maybe 9.5.
8 out of 10 realistically. 10 out of 10 for hardcore fans.
I also found Dragon Quest because of this channel and Im forever grateful.
Beautiful game. Check out the trails in the sky, of cold steel, crossbell games. Also xeno gears but prepare for disc 2 to feel..... Rushed.
@TheWhiteFang284 should have read before I replied 😂 I second the white fangs recommendation
PLEASE feel free to give a full review of Xenogears. I would watch that in a heartbeat. I am so glad to see it on this list, as it is my favourite RPG of all time. It was the most important game of it's time, thematically, I felt.
Checkout "Resonant Ark" I believe it is, he did a multi party review of it.
Recapitation did a nice summary of the story
Amazing game. My only regret is that the OST lacks variety ( not quality) because they aren’t enough different tracks so the same tracks keep coming back.
Completely agree, Xenogears in my opinion isn't only one of the best JRPGs ever created and written, it's one of the best stories and world's ever written. A masterpiece in its time, and now. I cannot see another game being made with as much ambition as Xenogears did, ever again.
10/10 for me is Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid 1, Soul Calibur on Dreamcast

Xenogears is easily the biggest surprise of my entire gaming career.

The first Dead Space game is a perfect 10/10.
It was so unique to be able to play a space themed horror game that was done perfectly
I bought a home theater 5.1 and a 55 inch TV just to play Dead Space the way it was intended to be played. One of the most immersive games ever made!
Dead Space 2 walks in the door...

@@TheRealEnate Too bad CD2 was a rushed mess.
TMNT turtles in time - snes

I hope that sometime later it'll get the special treatment like FFVII getting now with the remake, so all the people around the world experience that unforgettable story!
Ever play Suikoden 5? Love that game, a bit flawed in parts, but one of the best stories for any JRPG I've ever played. Y's 8 it's also awesome, if you like JRPGs.

I 100% disagree there is definitely perfect games
pi ck Really ?
"The sun and everything aligned on that day for that game .."

Metroid prime 2 is more an 8/10 for me the dark world is fucking awful

Xenogear is my first rpg I almost can’t play another one after playing that
I was playing ff7 couldn’t finish it and even my other favorite legend of dragoon couldn’t finish it both too the end but gave up for reason I would never know

For online multiplayer games I would say Mordhau and Rocket League 10/10
For me; NieR: Automata, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI are 10/10 games.
Yes! especially NieR: Automata.
10/10 ? mm Dark Souls Saga, Bloodborne, Sekiro. Yes for my personal taste From Soft makes games that are just way above everything else, pure art that is right up my alley.

Some great choices, I never get tired of these list type videos when they’re made by passionate fellow gamers
I love Dragon’s Crown! That game is one of my all time favourites.
Love the Xenogears love. Just finished it for the sixth time. It's easily my favorite game of all time. Thanks for all the TIMELESS videos! :)
Xenogears is my favorite game of all time. I can’t find anything like it.
Millions of gamers never played it when it was first released. It had no release in the PAL regions.
You should play Valkyrie Profile
Me too.
SUCH AN UNDERRATED GAME
I've been gaming for 30 years there is literally nothing else that even comes close. Greatest game of all time
Streets of rage 2! Love EVERYTHING about! The levels the difficulty the characters the music the sound efxs storyline the look!!!! So many memories it’s dear to my heart! Great vid keep it up!
Eddie Smock countless of times and it never gets old, you can beat it too just stay at it my man you’ll do it!
@@ElementryLennon preferred Fall out 3 myself
For me, Thief 2. Playing with headphones was an incredible experience.
Now that DAMN Tetris song is going to be stuck in my head John lol
Great list Johnny I totally agree on them all. Great games.

Diablo II Lord of Destruction (PC)
Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
Fallout 3 (PC)
Metroid Prime (GCN)
Streets of Rage 3 (GEN)

Dragon's Crown Pro was awesome. Really hoping there's a sequel.
For me, it's World of Warcraft, Diablo 2, Super Smash Brothers, Final Fantasy 7, Warcraft 3 Custom Maps, Hearthstone, Resident Evil 1 Directors Cut
It breaks my heart that Blizzard is full on corporate greed overlords at this point and I hate their practices, but I can't lie about how much I love their games and it has nothing to do with it being the Blizzard name or brand, they just happened to make a ton of my favorite games of all time. RIP in peace WC3 Custom Maps, you are already sorely missed.
I still love to play Tetris on my GBC.
GBC was life! My first one was a teal and i absolutely loved it
Dragon's Crown??? This is why I love you Johnny! One of my favorite games of all time easily... as well as one of the great game soundtracks. I've told every gamer I know to play it, but I guess I gotta settle for the sad fact that it's destined to always be a hidden gem.
