Great one Sandy, thanks for suggesting Carmin (also on one of your previous videos), saved my butt a couple of times, offering complete diagrams even for the weirdest models (Jaguar seems ro be super weird then) 😆
I’m telling you Sandy, ye do not shy away from tough jobs 💪💪 It is excellent to see Keith @ new level back recording, he always has very good content 👍
Admire your tenacity on this one guys. A bit frustrating that once you have it diagnosed, Jaguar can’t give you the parts. You would think if it’s a common failure item that they’d have the part on the shelf.
Putting the ECU and fusebox in the scuttle is about as sensible as putting your house fuseboard under the kitchen sink. Classic Jaguar. The X350 XJ series put the ECU in the scuttle too. The drains fill up with leaves and soon the ECU becomes submerged in rainwater. On X300s the ECU is next to the driver's foot, inside. Great, but they are old not and invariably leak rain into the cabin. Water settles on the big block connectors on top and the pins corrode away. In short, a Jag ECU it going to get water damaged wherever it sits!
Sir the red cable inside left side wheen fender cover you got in last minute is it positive or Negetive cable from that luggage compartment fuse box????? What is actual solution for this?
I also cant conect to engine ecu, but woth andifference engine and front end is ouf of the car, so all sensors on engine amd front end are disconected. Should I be able to cenect anyway? Its a jag xe, same thing basicalyĺ..
I was heard by some electritians that theese newer ecu s have ground trough wire loom from engine. Not trough ecu housing with chasis? So if no loom conected to the engine then no ground and no ecu respone?
Amazed to hear that the customer was being fussy about it being the the right part, given the shite state of the car!
Greetings from Dublin enjoyed the video, modern cars are such a nightmare.

Great video! I’ve been having similar issues, but struggle with diagnosing can bus problems.

That’s JLR for you Russell, much better quality from the VAG group 😂😂😂
Great video, only thing that upset me was how dirty the owner had the car 😂
Another cracking video gentlemen 👍

Amazing find rody is the most fearless powering fuses 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Have you exposed the connector to check it is corrosion ? and not burnt.

Yes u should be able to communicate

Did you solve this issue?
