Spot on in this assessment. The blame lies with Barbara though for placating Craig at every turn. Imagine Connery or Moore telling Cubby they wanted to kill Bond off. Cubby always said Bond was bigger than any actor, period. Craig should have gone after Spectre.

Fully agree! Craig got tired after Quantum and it showed on the films after Skyfall but it didn't stop him from taking the paycheque even after moaning about it in public. This is why Brosnan was far better, the man had nothing but fun during the filming of those films and was genuinely hurt once his stint was over

I disagree. Brosnan definitely had more fun in the role but I don’t think he surpassed DC as far as performance or films go

Totally agree with the guy on the left. The scripts that followed Casino Royale couldn't hold a candle to it. And most of the action sequences that followed are so unimaginative, with Craig either shooting or fighting his way out of every situation, as opposed to using his wits or coming up with a clever twist. My favorite Craig action scene is the airport chase in CR, ending with Craig clipping the bomb on the dude's belt. I would like to have seen more stuff like that.

I was introduced to mr Craig in a Chester nightclub by actor Owen teale just before he did tomb raider. He was very arrogant. Ps love the shirt choice.

This is the first of your videos I have seen so sorry, guys, I don't know your names. The man in the red top has perfectly expressed what I think about Craig's tenure. He did see the role as beneath him and he totally took all the fun out of it and turned Bond into a loser. Look how he dresses now and his pretentious films like the Glass Onion and Queer. These films are made for critics not the cinema going public.

You guys are hysterical you make me laugh that’s funny but you’re right about Daniel Craig’s run at being James Bond. The only thing he has a Casino Royale and half of Skyfall that’s all and I can’t stand him worth a damn he didn’t care about the franchise, he was there for the money and get his ass kissed by every interviewer that loved him. Disgusting. Talk about an ego trip and I didn’t trust him at the start and on top of that you did not even look like James Bond in the books, poorly casted, and I feel so sorry for Eva Green. That woman was beautiful and she had the acting ability to bring in a really good bond girl other than that the rest of it is garbage, just another nuclear dumpster fire shit show a biblical proportions and having bond die off. Are you kidding me? Do you think Cubby broccoli would kill off the golden goose that laid the golden eggs but here we are his daughter did disgusting and have you seen that movie that I told you to watch just need to know and have a nice day gentleman and I’ll talk to you later

    • @KimBailey-w2g
      @KimBailey-w2g 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

And on top of that gentleman, Achilles’ heel for Barbara broccoli is that you do not let an actor sway what is in the Scripps he can give his feedback if need to, but his job is to act and he is not a writer, and that is the problem with him is that he thought that he could do both sides of the spectrum and guess what he failed tremendously in my opinion

@ oh and there’s another movie that is a really good comedy and it is directed by Steven Spielberg. It is called 1941. If you haven’t seen it it has John Belushi in it so you know you might want to look it up see if you seen it or see if you have it and just tell me what you think it is a classic and I’ll talk to you later oh and by the way, congratulations on your studio.

He's right. Craig's ego ruined the franchise. It was his decision to have the character killed and the producers stupidly agreed. Also I can't believe that the guy on the right said Spectre is better than GoldenEye. GoldenEye is easily a top 5 Bond film.

I think if daniel craig got a 2010 bond flim it will be diffent and he will setlle in and still in his prime as bond ,and then skyfall will be the end of his trioigy ,but you got a point i think daniel got tried to quick of playing bond to quick after quantum becurse it was a long 4 year gap ,but to me skyfall is always the last daniel craig bond triogy since i dont care about Speactre and no time to shit since they mosty spin off to me. So yeah. But skyfall he put a solid performance with a lot off runing.

I think Daniel Craig likes James Bond.
I enjoyed the five movies as much as I enjoy the ones of his predecessors.
I would say don't believe the rumours he didn't like shooting the movies.
All he said was it's been exhausting.
The tropes, the atmosphere, the style, the action, the music, it's all there. Even the girls, the drinks, playing games.
The drinking game with the scorpion in Skyfall, or his lifestyle on Jamaica in No Time to Die and when he meets Felix.
He isn't whiny at all. He's Bond.
He's flirting with Nomi. He's flirting with Paloma.
I also mention Lucia Sciarra in Spectre.
    Yes, he dies.
He could always have died. That is part of the stories from Ian Fleming on.
    He isn't immortal.
That's what makes him so compelling.
    But he will return.

But don't you think the Craig Bond films lack an element of fun that the others had?? They're all just dark, moody and dramatic and Craig's Bind is always grumpy even when he's flirting!

Had Craig been a one Bond film only actor like Lazenby, he'd have done everybody including himself a solid. And that was mostly due to the story which kept a lot of the original Fleming elements. Had any actor been in that movie, they would have succeeded. But then Quantum came with its horribly edited car chase beginning where you couldn't even tell where the cars were in relation to eachother or what the heck was going on... and then it was obvious the writers were on strike for that stank script... and th following films ere the worst example of today's reboot style movie making where they take cartoons or classic movies and shows and comic book characters and turn them into psychologist couch sesson movies for "adults" with so much seriousness that they become farces ironically. I mean Skyfall was like watching Austin Powers mixed with Home Alone and trying to make it a tragedy drama. Then Spectre came and went and nobody remembered jack about it apart from the fake one take opening which was super unbelievable. Then the last one just had nothing going for it plot wise and they killed him off and no longterm fan cared which was an accomplisment nobody thought possible. There were ZERO action set pieces that fans of stuntmen can say wow'd them and that will exist as standalone set pieces in the future like so many of the old films had. The sexy women were gone. The exotic locales mostly looked ugly due to the cinematography. And yes, you're right, Craig tried to make Bond an emotionally fragile ninny who punched things when he got mad. Tom Cruise made better Bond films with his Mission Impossible franchise. I'll take those movies over Craig's "Bond" films any day of the week. Sorry, Craig was a one trick pony as Bond and he outstayed his welcome after film one. He's been much more tolerable in the Knives Out films as an over the top comedic character.
