One of my favorite tennis matches of all time. The 2017 Australian Open was truly the Nostalgia Slam with Serena vs. Venus and Federer vs. Nadal
it truly was. I didn’t know who to root for in both the women’s and men’s final 🤣
@@pokemontrainer8034in the moment, I really wanted Venus to win because she deserved an AO title, but in retrospect, so glad Serena did to get her to 23!
Who's here after watching on Netflix 😊 such a great movie! I wish I had a same father of this two great women❤️
That movie was a white-washing of "King" Richard Williams of epic proportions!
@@carrerau7138how so?
He is a POS! You have no idea what you are talking about! The movie was made to honor the Williams sisters. Yes their dad planned all the yadda yadda, and left 5 kids to end for themselves. He literally told his wife we need to have two more babies so we can be rich... Don't simp over a Will Smith act...
😂😂
Fun fact: So it's 2017 and 6 years ago this was Serena's last major win and it's her own sister Venus who turned out to be her opponent in the final.🤩
oh my god..I seriously didn't believe that 2017 was Serena's last slam win! Even Federer won a slam after her!
@@judmac1 Yeah, but I think if Serena didn't have a baby after she won the 2017 Australian Open she probably would of won more Grand Slams after 2017. She made 4 finals 2018-2019, she was just not the same player after child birth in 2017.
@@marfu1119 So true…almost dying in childbirth definitely had its effects on her. It’s incredible she even returned to tennis at such a high level after!
Easy to forget with Serena's late dominance how good Venus is. Top 10 all time for sure, if not top 5.
If it wasn't for her medical condition I think she might have beaten Serena more.
i love the final hug between sisters
Dam their dad should be proud seeing this.
Was he he still alive for this ?
@@deedeekreep9139he didn’t die bro 💀
20 years to stay this competitive is more than hard working. Its love for the game by these two great champions, Before judging a successful individual just look at the mirror and shoot those criticism at the face in front, The scriptures knew what they were talking about.
King Richard did a great job.
I just watched the movie. 😅🥰
2 of the best.
i cried when they hugged 😭❤️ i love these two POWERFUL women 💖
The AMAZING tennis sisters!!! 🇺🇸
2017 I was driving my children to tennis 3 days a week in a Toyota diesel powered double fuel tank 4WD.....brings back memories...thank you Venus and Serena for being rolemodels ..for Girls in sport.
Did you want to kill the planet or what?
Serena was pregnant with Olympia here, what a queen. These two ladies are my favourite tennis players.
Serena was pregnant only in the 2nd month.
At that stage the embryo weighs about 1 gram (about 0.03 ounces).
Never knew Venus Williams was better then Serena Williams 😮
glad we lived to witness moments like this
Parents must be so proud 🎉
The good old days 😢❤
que buenas eran estas hermanas en el tenis....
How good was Michael Jordan at basketball 🏀 …..
What kind of language da?😂
Dual of the fates starts playing
Outstanding achievement from Serena considering that she was being pregnant for already eight weeks! 😳
Really?
@@SuperAlaa111eah she was. That's why she took a break of 1 year after his this.
@@SuperAlaa111If you noticed she wssnt overstretching to hit return shots
@@SuperAlaa111she wasnt over extending to reach balls she normally would run down yes she was preggos and only Venus And Alexis knew
Must be awkward as a parent having to children in final knowing one is bound to win but other lose.
Honestly if I was playing aginst my sister/brother and lost I would not even be mad. At least they won
must be proud
The greatest female tennis player ever ❤
Without a doubt. The girls lucky she decided to have a baby, cuz she would’ve easily eclipsed 30 titles
both of them. They 2 changed the way how girls play tennis
@@troy3762 venus is great but I wouldn't say she's one of the top 3 best female players ever
@@BinaryRex18 I'd say she is. One of the highest peaks, remarkable longevity, perhaps the most influential player ever, and her resume would be on that level too had she not faced Serena so many times. I also don't think you can hold players from the 80s and prior (the majority of players who are above Venus from a dominance standpoint are older) to the same standard as modern players, as the game has just evolved too much in all facets.
❤
This was cool!
6:40😂😂 was personal
We love you guys 😢
There are so many highlights of this match lol
When both know each others weakness it's about to go down
2017
Read a book about these two amazing life stories
My ladies! It's been along time I saw both of you. I admire the William sisters forever!
Venus and Serena is Master Difficulty
Proud
When your little brother pick up the wii control 😂
Meeting the toughest opponent
The movie 🍿
You make some good shots Serena!
Venus vs Serena question:
Is Venus an aggressive counter puncher compared to Serena an offensive baseliner…
I frequently feel Venus relied frequently on her movement, whilst Serena is equally a good mover, her mentality towards the game, e.g. ultra aggressive, on serve, return, using angles made her a superior player.
Can someone tell me there opinion
Venus better movement, Serena is just better with her consistency! Venus hit to many unforced errors. That’s the major difference in their game. Over the years Serena lowered her unforced but Venus didn’t do much.
And to add, obviously the serve. Venus first serve is faster. Serena can be equally fast but has better placement. Second serve is the big difference. It’s a strength for Serena but I believe it’s Venus weaker part of her game.
Not sure I'd go as far as to label Venus a counterpuncher because I do think she was an ultra-assertive player at heart but you are right in the sense that Venus frequently relied on her unparalleled defensive/lateral movement to rally for a bit *then* generate an opportunity to go on the offensive whereas Serena was all about taking charge from the get-go (part of this is attributable to a difference in skill rather than approach though) and excelled more in offensive/forward movement. I think their respective H2Hs against a player like Hingis in the early-00s perfectly capture these subtleties - Serena had her way with Martina in a way that Venus never quite did because unlike Venus, Serena gave her 0 room to rally.
Team Venus
Of course kelli underwood is the commentator 😆
Serena: “you underestimate my power”
Venus: “destroy u must”
THIS WAS SO BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH. THIS IS BLACK HISTORY 🖤
When Steffi won the Golden Slam in 1988 it was white history!!
@@carrerau7138 that's awesome for the white ppl.
@@carrerau7138 was I supposed to be offended by that? Growing up, white history is all that's taught in the American school systems. 🤷🏿♂️😂 I know about a lot of white history. 👍
@@draecook26 There is no such thing as black or white history (there may be European or African history).
That doesn't say that even in today's historical science important events or achievements which concerned black people might be underrated.
More than their first final in the US Open 2001?
❤
Who else is here after watching the movie king William?
Serena was pregnant ....this match ❤❤
Who would King Richard support this time?
Serena's toughest opponent..
That was Justine Henin.
Who beat her like a drum in 2003-07. And who leads her 4-3 in slam matches.
Sadly she retired in 2008 due to burn-out syndrome (a very underestimated illness!).
🔥🔥🔥
That final was a clear sign how extremely women's tennis has deteriorated in the 2010s.
Kudos to the sisters for making the final, both being 35 and 36 years old and being far over the hill.
But the rest of the field should be ashamend.
Who came just because saw the movie
Co nic nie mówisz pawian małpy som 😂❤
What do you mean by this … are you calling these 2 beautiful talented ,women monkeys ? Like you don’t have hispanic women who have the same facial structure , hair and skin tone as these women … like you literally can’t tell some people are Hispanic until they start speaking Spanish !
I foreget the year. Venus did beat serena.
Fun Fact: Serena was pregnant during this match.
So what?
Those days of Tennis 😢😢
Imagine Serena being pregnant here also! The human body is truly miraculous
At the end of the second month of pregnancy the fetus weighs less than 1 gram. 😄
Someone likes to moan 😂
The biggest match of her life 😂, child vs parent would be way more crazy
greatest man to ever play womens tennis
Lost to pregnant 😂
Who are these? Why they have sama name and face look a like.
They're clone from government's experiment if that is the answer you want
Why are you Gay?
They're sisters lol
You don’t know the great Williams sisters?
the biggest mistake for serena is to carry a baby at that particular point in her career
she could have won at least 1 more slam
