      Yes, Penang will not be the same again and the trend of Penang's landscape is set to transform significantly, starting with this kind of project that aims to elevate the standard of living to levels often seen in amokau (developed) countries. A well-designed park like this offers a great space for relaxation, whether you're spending time alone or with friends and family, providing a much-needed escape from the stress of a busy workday. Yes yes, fully agree with you on longkau and also eateries as you may sure notice, these are areas that needs focus as well as the condition of hawker centers and kopitiams, many of which still have an outdated 80s feel. The state government should prioritize upgrades to improve hygiene and cleanliness. While a modern or cozy atmosphere isn't a necessity, a tidier, more organized environment would greatly enhance the experience. Thank you so much for your positive & area for improvement comment !

      @@World_Kaki-from_Penang You're welcome and I believe Penang worth more promotions like what you're doing!
      I am neither from Penang nor Kuala Lumpur, but for the past eight years, I have been commuting between the two places for work. I might stay in Kuala Lumpur for half a month, and then return to Penang for half a month. Penang is really moving in a better and better direction, at least towards my dream of Utopia (an atmosphere that is advanced yet retains a retro vibe). Compared to Kuala Lumpur, the only regret is the public transportation. However, with the implementation of LRT, I believe Penang will become even more perfect.😍

    Penang State & JKR should upgrade road from Batu Ferenggi - Teluk Bahang road. Upgrade all intersections and incorporate Crosswalk/Zebra Crossings. Upgrade and widen the existing sidewalks, add new sidewalk and walkway to connect existing sidewalks. Relocate bus stop, signboard post and electrical pole off the walkway. Relocate all shitty stalls off sidewalk. Create new footpath network to connect all hotels, beaches and tourist attractions. Provide pedestrians bridge at locations where pedestrians crossing activities are high.

    • @sunshinesun121
      @sunshinesun121 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Easier said than DONE. There are " literally THOUSANDS " of individual land owners, stalls, hawkers, etc along Batu Ferringgi . Imagine the "POLITICAL" black lash if land was taken AWAY from XXXX !!!

    • @World_Kaki-from_Penang
      @World_Kaki-from_Penang  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thank you for your thoughtful wish list. I completely agree, and I believe every Penang-lang shares these aspirations as well. There's no doubt it's a very challenging task that involves multiple stakeholders and requires a substantial budget. BUT something has to be done rather than waiting things to get worst ....Upgrades to tourist areas should ideally be funded by the federal government, given the large financial and resource requirements. The taxes collected from the tourism industry are ultimately flowing back to the federal government anyway.
      FYI, Penang contributes the second-highest tax revenue to the federal government, after Sarawak, yet the state receives less than 1% of the federal budget allocation. Often time, the federal government's responses to Penang's requests for infrastructure development funding are either "ministry belum approved" or "tak ada budget" - kena makan sendiri ....We've been requesting a single LRT line for over 10 years, and still, no work has begun! And some outsiders ah-ci-ah-cho, just don’t seem to understand the need for "public service" vs ROI ...

    • @kcloh4002
      @kcloh4002 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Batu Ferringhi is an asset to Penang tourism but it really needs urgent improvement. For a start, make it pedestrian-friendly. The current night market stalls occupy the sidewalks and cause the pedestrians to walk on the road. The stalls should be upgraded and relocated!

    Key is still to ensure that Penangites benefit from these developments. Decision then is to concentrate very high density living in four locations. North, South and two central regions. Keeping all existing green areas untouched and expanding them within the dense regions!

    i think the park has some reserved land for the future undersea tunnel to Mainland, right?

    • @World_Kaki-from_Penang
      @World_Kaki-from_Penang  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes you are right. The gateway is actually located offshore of 1-Gurney Condo (see timeline 8:03 in the video) where the expressway switched to undersea tunnel and re-surface again at offshore near Bagan Ajam, mainland with total length of 6.8km . However, the project is still no clear timeline while pending approvals from federal & local regulatory bodies like the Penang Port Commission .... Thank you for your question !

    Kerajaan Negeri dan JKR Pulau Pinang sepatutnya menaik taraf jalan dari jalan Batu Ferenggi - Teluk Bahang. Naiktarafkan semua persimpangan dan sediakan Crosswalk/Lintasan Zebra. Menaik taraf dan lebarkan laluan pejalan kaki sedia ada, tambah laluan pejalan kaki baharu untuk menghubungkan laluan pejalan kaki sedia ada. Pindahkan perhentian bas, tiang papan tanda dan tiang elektrik dari laluan pejalan kaki. Pindahkan semua gerai buruk dari kaki lima. Rancang dan bina rangkaian laluan pejalan kaki baharu untuk menghubungkan semua hotel, pantai dan tarikan pelancong. Sediakan jambatan pejalan kaki di lokasi yang aktiviti melintas pejalan kaki tinggi.

    • @World_Kaki-from_Penang
      @World_Kaki-from_Penang  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching ! The article from buletin Penang indicated that Phase 1 will have 64 lots of open car park while phase 2 will have 736 with mixed open & multi-storey car park (I believe the building under construction at reserve land in timeline 9:18 at the left is the one - already at 4-storey). Hopefully they will add more as demand will be exceeded during peak hour or festive season. Parking in Penang is indeed very challenging ..... Have a great day !

    The parking rate for the 1st hour {RM4/-} is extremely high. It discourages parents from taking their children to the playground. The car park now is always empty.

      Yes, thank you for additional info ! This news has sparked some controversy and confusion, as the land appears to be located within the Gurney Bay compound (opposite of Gurney Plaza) which WAS true !! However, the state executive council insists it lies outside Gurney Bay "now" (he forgot to mention that) .......although the land was originally part of Gurney Bay, but 8.5 hectares of state reserve land were transferred to Consortium Zenith Construction (CZC) as part of a land swap deal in payment for the ongoing construction of the Package Two highway project (Ayer Itam bypass - see another youtube th-cam.com/video/D8upR8FinOw/w-d-xo.html ). Zenith has the right to develop the land under mixed development land rule, subject to state government approval, so the rule of "no high-rise building" in Gurney Bay still holds true.... for now
