Peter or Mr Money is talking rubbish when it comes to the future of DAP leadership. He is not pragmatic or has a real understanding of the real reason for race-based parties. The racial profile of the party is reflective of the type of politics being played by the majority race and DAP alone cannot control the narrative of the entire population. So long as UMNO, PAS, Bersatu and other similar parties play the race card, the other races will have to coalesce around another party to represent their interests. If DAP does not want to represent the interest of this group, another party will be formed to do so. Given the above, it is not to say one day in the future, Malaysian political parties cannot be truly multiracial. I also wish it will happen one day,,.hopefully in my children's lifetimes.

If the suggestion of putting Zairil as DAP sec is for the sake of changing the optics / perceptions toward DAP, I’m afraid that’s not gonna work. Malays are still gonna say that Zairil is only a poster boy with Chinese as the mastermind, just like how PMX is now being painted by PAS as a puppet controlled by DAP. Whoever has the political & ministerial competency should go up the ranks, that should be the only way how any organisation run itself
Both of you and those “exposed” ones are so wrong about it. You just wanna hide and don’t wanna face the issue, of what religion has really brought and can do. That’s why you don’t wanna talk about it.
Perhaps OKM is aware of the rift within the Muslim community in Malaysia. Since Perlis mufti Dr Maza was the one who exposed this, "the other" group are not too pleased not necessarily because they support GISB but more due to the animosity between the two groups of religious schools of thought. GISB generally belongs to the so-called "traditional" Nusantara school who are welcoming of tarekat and their practices which are frowned upon by those who are more "puritan" and opposed to practices considered to be innovation (bida'ah) not sanctioned by the Quran and authentic hadith. Most of the personalities in charge of the religious authorities in most states in Malaysia are the "traditionalists" and those in charge of the Perlis authority are not in the same boat. There have been back and forth accusations and name calling between the two groups, with the Perlis group often labelled Wahabi, which the Perlis group denies. It has been speculated that the traditional groups in the state authorities have long accepted other tarekat groups that have similar religious rituals with GISB/Arqam/Aurad Muhammadiyah. Hence, if they now come out to strongly condemn these practices, the other tarekat groups would be affected as well. Lots of people find themselves walking on eggshells and having to skirt around the issue.
This is quite common knowledge within the Malay/Muslim community. It has been going on for decades actually but has been more prominent these days perhaps due to social media. Non-Muslims are less likely to be aware as this issue doesn't feature in their daily lives.
@@luckm8852 nope. Maybe in your head it's like that and you want to believe it as that. There's no 1 group 2 groups 3 groups, just like there's no traditional / moderate/ liberal iislam. If it's not in the Quran and hadith, then it's not iislam that they're practicing. Try harder to spread fitnah.

It is going to be very difficult for investors to have confidence in the SFZ, HSR, SEZ, if VEPs can't even be issued in a proper manner.
I didn't know so many S'poreans coming in to M'sia eventhough more than 62k VEPs were issued and 100k were approved but pending issuance. Last minute? And btw, SEZ don't need VEPs when there is RTS? 🤔
Yeah lah..a lot applied last minutes
@ck51250
The point is that, investors looking at the application and issuance of VEPs, will have to wonder about the process for the various permits related to starting operations in the SEZ, and the SFZ.
There will be many more layers of permits and licences.
Just think about building a factory.
Building permits ?
Fire safety permits?
Work permits?
Business licensing permits?
U turns or no U turns if not issued by the issuer?
On the HSR, the problem is not Singapore.
Wanting nfrastructure, but expecting China to pay for it upon benefits expressed through Stream of Consciousness explanation of benefits requires a level of trust that would be unreasonably high.
@@audreygiamlayhoon you kidding, right? Because of VEP it put a dampen on SEZ, HSR etc? I just commented in here that a ttl of 62k VEPs were issued w more than 100k approved but pending issuance. Penangites are thororughly disgusted with the manoeuvring for the CM ship and this is tranlated into the assembly men's responses. Mr. Peter,
The facts of the matter on GISB is that it is of national interest and there should be no attempts to sweep it under the carpet. This involves children and women of all young ages. Irrespective if religions or culture the act to bring this to an end is a must. The comments for all groups are not reflected on race or religion but on the matter of justice. Do not allow anyone to abuse the under age groups. I hope to see a real justice is done in the interest of all responsible Malaysians.
Because the issue belongs to, and committed by, one of the three Rs, other interested parties are not allowed to comment or even suggest anything. Otherwise they will end up like DAP Teresa Kok and get hammered and ridiculed by the UMNO kampong doctor.
State government shouldn’t ask for payment to adhere to certain standards. They should set a higher standard for themselves.
The Agong has been clear that he wants to see the government develop outside of KL, seeing it as an opportunity to provide greater opportunities across the country and reduce the infrastructure burden on KL. Its a super smart move and with our efforts to join Brics, I think there is an opportunity across the global South to assist with financials to support it.
Re: Singapores input and decision making they're pretty straightforward, as long as there is no corruption they look for things that assist Singapore (which is kind of what we should all be doing)

He is wrong to say that it is well accepted by DAP. Many many members were very unhappy. I'm disappointed that OKM does not explain that this process is a way for the leaders to interfere in picking the leaders
If that the case, the states' members chooses the wrong person to be in the council...all 15 of them, if u heard ? It be alot of convincing to do for the "leader" wanting certain person to helm the CM post. More so, a certain leader willingness to compromised despite having the highest votes. @@AHMADKIOSK to be fair. I didn't hear in the podcast that OKM said "it was well accepted by the members". He even explained the process how the selection of the "leader" by the 15 council members. JB has been touting to be the next Shenzhen for past 20 years, for me, the news is one ear in, one ear out. The VEP debacle is deep reminder that many Singaporeans should just 'watch and smile'. Many lost their investments into the Iskandar project, Singaporeans know Malaysia's policies will flip-flop. The developer of Forest City is broke and their JB project is now a dead town. Many rich Singaporeans will continue to buy over-priced properties in JB, they are happy to lose money.
The royal family has a big stake in the project. It cannot afford to fail in his own land. Ex-PM Mahathir did not agree with the Forest City development because he was against building a new Chinatown made up 700,000 rich communists in Malaysia. It upsets the ethnic balance and make the Malays in Johore unhappy because they are unable to afford living there.

@@ck51250 I think there's a lot to think about before rushing for a SG-KL line. And there may be good reasons to have it start at JB. First, Malaysia has full control. Remember it costs Malaysia almost RM300m the last time for nothing. And we still couldn't agree on many things. Second, a Sg-KL line basically bypasses JB even if there is a stop in JB. Instead of JB developing as an end node, it becomes one of the stops along the line. Third, it brings visitors in to JB from Sg if they want to use the HSR. 55:30 From what we've seen, they're trying to build a self-sustaining utopia of a "halal kingdom." This is shocking enough for those minority groups who still believe this country is secular and want to continue to be a diverse country for the next generation. As a non muslim, I hope that through GISB incident, the majority will reflect on the moral sentiments of the so-called religious leaders, and also question the ideals of the Islamic State promoted by PAS, and focus on the development of the country, the national economy and people's livelihood.
I have a feeling you've never been to the east coast and you've been watching too many Chinese racist videos.
And just to entertain your claims on "halal kingdom", but not related to the ajaran sesat GISB, everyone knows Islam is the official religion in Malaysia, i don't know why you're surprised. Without the prospect of PR why would any foreigners sink their money into real estate in Malaysia?

He's born with 100% Chinese DNA, except being legally adopted by a Malay step father, hence the Malay name right? Am I missing something here?
Dap has a history of lim clan hope now no lim to control
Interesting, first time I ever heard of these
This is quite common knowledge within the Malay/Muslim community. It has been going on for decades actually but has been more prominent these days perhaps due to social media. Non-Muslims are less likely to be aware as this issue doesn't feature in their daily lives.

Be fair and choose your word carefully
Apartheid is a policy that is founded on the idea of separating people based on racial or ethnic criteria. I think, it's not unusual that ethnic minority in many parts of the world will likely encounter some form of discrimination (or unfavourable impression by others), eg. US has 'black lives matter' movement. The world would need to come together in unity, by promoting greater acceptance of all people without consideration of their background, and to promote love, not hate.
