So happy to see this bypass crossing a mountain top being built in penang, i was working in KL last time , there aslo have multiple similiar bypass that crossing a mountain top but with atleast 6-8 lanes , when driving down hill you feel like entering a futuristic city fantastic view..
what about Paya Terubong part? The jam is get worst almost up to balik pulau already but dont seem any mp concern the jam there also. No point if the highway complete but din solve Paya Terubong jam
Actually it is possible but due to signal blocked by building & trees especially when flying low, we had to capture from 3 different locations, and also need spare batteries or recharge the battery at home and continue if not. 10 mins footage actually cut/edit from 1 hour filming video. Thanks for asking !
These two tunnels are part of the project, see the news in this link: www.penangpropertytalk.com/2023/06/ayer-itam-tun-dr-lce-expressway-bypass-on-track-for-completion-by-january-2025/
Ya, good observation ! If look closer (timeline 6:21 to 6:22), a portion of the retaining wall seems broken before (possibly a mini landslide happened before ?) !! I'm not a civil engineer or the expert but patching the hillslope with cement only without adding metal steel/mesh or concrete type or any reinforced or support structure , also plus better drainage system for underground water, may potentially cause landslide in the future, which I trust that they have taken into consideration .....See also 6:11 on another similar issue at this stretch of the retaining wall.......They are the expert and they should know better what they are doing and ensure the reliability in long run. Thanks for your input ! Will update next month on their "repairing" work on this particular stretch ....
Last year 2023 the project director said deadline was 31 Jan 2025 but this year they change to "by 2025" ... so can be Jan 2025 or Dec 2025. Looking at the progress, it is impossible to complete by early next year.
You must be the resident of one of the affected/nearby home. your sacrifice is much appreciated and can be felt by the people of Penang in the effort to reduce jam. Thank you !🙏🙏🙏
Yes agree, we must acknowledge the challenges & suffering faced by these residents, especially during this 3-year construction period (or more) with flying debris damaging cars and property, dusty homes and clothes, and the constant noise pollution, all for the sake of achieving smoother traffic in Penang. Your patience in enduring these hardships is recognized by all Penang-lang, and on behalf of everyone in Penang, we sincerely thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you !!

traffic jam is not penang fault lah... penang too much opportunities then everyone come mah... u see kelantan jam meh??? I dont think kelantan have better road planning then penang lor HAHAHAHA
Agree. Also Penang-lang contributes the second-highest $$ in tax collection to federal revenue after Sarawak BUT Penang only received less than 1% of the federal budget allocation. Federal gov always replied either "ministry belum approved" or "tak ada budget" when Penang asks for funding to improve infrastructure developement which benefit all Malaysian !!
So much money spent on this bypass but does not benefit public transport. Will only encourage more to drive and create more congestion. State'spriority all wrong!!
Thank you for sharing, marking each landmark / building and have comparison =) useful video !
Thank you for your support ! Don't miss the new upload on Gurney Bay th-cam.com/video/M0JDmgb-QMs/w-d-xo.html
