    Rumour has it, that shoe is still being nailed on

    That’s some seriously contracted heels. I don’t think I have ever seen heels that contracted before.

    Satisfying for the horse. Not for us! Video ends too soon, and there is no before and after shot! We watch these videos for the sense of completion it brings us!

    Forced hoof at its best. Here would rather help the horse to leave it barefoot, so that it can get a better hoofshape. An iron is not useful here, on the contrary.

    When there is a profi next to the animal, it is happy. Thanks for your job!

    Would love to see the before and after on these hooves, looks like you did a good first trim!

      Thank you! We obviously didnt get the hoof exactly where we want it to be, but were on the right track I think!

      We couldnt agree more! The strongest foundation a horse can have is steady and strong feet!

    Genuinely interested to know what displine of horse is being shod. To hazard a guess I’d say some sort of saddle seat, rail class horse.

    So did you quick him on that medial top nail? It’s hard to tell on the video, just a question.

    The horse still seems very long in the toe. Are it's angles okay? I'm used to horse hooves being more circular and this is more oval. Guessing this is a work in progress horse. Do you think you'll be able to do updates?

    • @olsenequinecjf
      @olsenequinecjf  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daemon!
      We have since shod this horse a couple more times, and he will optimistically continue coming to us to get this hoof back where it should be! It absolutely has been a work in progress, and we've been able to make leaps and bounds!

    For me it would be shoes off, turned out on a track barefoot to allow those poor feet time to heal from the awful damage done by the shoes 😢

  • @darthmal

    I think a cordless oscillating tool would work faster and be more efficient, no.
