~ 0:40 Coming out of the pits for the first time at Mugello, braking as usual for the (first) San Donato corner, I experienced massive deceleration and realized I need to change all reference points. I can break with one finger easily everywhere.
~ 1:02 Another thing which left me speechless is the bike’s ability to keep the tight line in corners, not just in corner entry and mid corner, but even upon exiting corners while accelerating. This is extremely rare dynamic behavior for a road legal bike - it is something we work hard to obtain on our factory SBK and MOTOGP racebikes.
~ 1:55 Despite the extreme power/weight ratio the bike does not feel difficult, it is designed so that the rider can fully focus on riding style/performance optimization. Intuitive and smooth in side to side transitions.
~3:47 On the Portimao straight you usually struggle to keep the nose down with big bikes and even wheelie control struggles. With this one I was able to ride without the front wheel lifting.
~4:35 During testing at Mugello, I lapped in 1.52:4, less than two seconds from the Italian SBK champion Michele Pirro (MOTOGP WC) on the Italian SBK spec V4R race bike.

So I‘m sorry mate but that bike is German... It dosn‘t look like a German bike, but it is controlled by Germans.
E D Oh of course I know that, but VW has let them do their own thing. Of course now however they’ll be more “reliable” with German engineering. Lets hope for the best 😅

@@infiltrato_albanese1452 Basically, since the VW engineers developed and tested it, it's pretty much a VW sold as a Bugatti... Just like the Lamborghini Huracan which is basically an Audi R8 designed by Italians.

@@infiltrato_albanese1452 Bugatti right now is "100% German..." It's all up to the VW engineers, they even test it at the VW track. Ducati isn't 100% German, but Lamborghini just lost all its Italian blood after the Gallardo and Aventador.

Having Italian captions for an Italian speaking tester is just as pointless as the pricetag.
Making half the video english and the other half Italian is also a little disappointing. And there are actually not that many italians out there compared to the english and german community.

I wish I knew what the nice italian man was saying... Nevertheless the bike looks awesome.
He says the engine accelerate fast, but the brake are way more impressive, then says he has been surprised by the bike natural propension to keep bending even under severe acceleration out of the corners. Says also wings allows the bike to keep the front wheel down without the antiwheelie intervention, reaching more speed...

@@gepixelt7712 it has 234 hp and weighs 152kg... I don't love ducati's very much, but this thing is more a starship than a bike.... It excels in every aspect...

@@gepixelt7712 i rode many powerful bikes, i think everything above 180hp is useless for the road, and needs a lot of controls, lessening driving pleasure... i would just keep ABS for safety reasons.

Superdelicious, that Superleggera...
So many people here bitching about the subtitles... who gives a fuck?! We're here for the looks and sound of the bike. I don't speak Italian and couldn't care less about the missing subtitles. The bike's incredible. If I find someone to pay me a lot of money for a kidney, I will be checking out everything about the bike that I didn't get from the video.
