Installing and reviewing cheap diesel heater | Truck Shell Camper

I was enduring some cold nights and decided I needed a good heat source. The shell leaks in air and stays freezing all night. Difficulty breathing in the chilly air and trying to keep my nose from freezing off on a nightly basis. Its exhausting to fight the cold weather so I decided to install a diesel heater. Here is my review of a cheap chinese diesel heater.
I am living off the grid so I had to ship the heater in to a local business. Purchased the heater and installed it 2 days later! WHAT A GAME CHANGER! Check out the video for more details!

I have one of those installed in my truck. It's almost too efficient! I was not supplied with a ton of heat piping in the kit - where do you plan on getting the pipe to run the heat through to your cab?

I will have to check around. I'm thinking ab HVAC type of store. Might need to purchase online. Haven't looked into it yet!

That thing is legit. Just standing outside the shell next to it you could feel how warm it was. Definitely need to look into one of these for the van for next Winters adventures!

I know there are a several unused holes on the back of Tacoma cabs but curious as to how you plan/executed ducting into the cab

Hey man did you hook it up to your main battery?Do you have a dual batterie system???I'm in the project to install one in my tacoma,just not sure if i want it portable or fix in the bed.

Hooked to my starter battery. Draws very little voltage

@@RenegadeRickJames what kind of starter battery do you have? Does it need to be deep cycle?

@@xmnemonic I would highly recommend having an auxiliary marine battery, you never want to go dead in the middle of nowhere. However, I used my interstate starter battery and never woke up with a dead truck.

How long does it take to burn through a tank of diesel? .... say if it's used heavily during the cold season.
