Living life simple.
Here for a good time, not a long time.
Here for a good time, not a long time.
Abandoned Tower of Chaos
Just another day at the tower of chaos. This abandoned hotel was left vacant for over 2 years, inviting the homeless from all over the city. It became a home to those in need of shelter. Seems like the city let this happen because it kept the homeless out of sight and mind! No control over this block for years. Very difficult to secure the property after years of neglect from City Officials / law enforcement. Seems like there was always a place the homeless can get in and dark areas for people to hide. During the winter months this building became a hot spot for vagrant activity.
This is old footage ( roughly 1.5 years )
This building has been condemned and the block will be turning into 2 high rise tower offering brand new luxury units. This video was only to document the struggles of taking back a building after being heavily neglected.

However, the memories made are priceless! I ...

Thanks for leaving the comment! What can I help you with
Wonderful setup!
Thanks for the awesome comment!!
When I first watched this video, I stopped in the middle because I didn't want to cover over my back windows, just for extra storage. However, now that I have removed my rear and middle row seats, and climbed around back there, I know I am going to want as much room and storage in there as possible. So, I had a second look. While I would do some things differently, I am now appreciating how much storage you were able to get into your suburban.
@@GrantSR hey! Thanks for the awesome comment! Wish you the best adventures!
I'm hoping to get a Yukon SLE do you think I could do this same build?
it is a fantastic build.
@@orlandobabe thanks for the awesome comment
@@RenegadeRickJames You are welcome, I might have to call on you to set up my future Overlander Toyota truck. Haven't decided on either a 4runner or a Highlander.
@@orlandobabe love it! I'd be happy to share any knowledge I have!
That's really nice but they get horrible gas mileage
Are you still living in it
I spilled diesel in my truck and after some deep cleaning I could still smell it for months , not fun
Put a lot 400-800 watts of solar on ur roof to future proof. Your inverter is not too much maybe too little because u will live full time so a microwave is good. Also ur Apicool cooler make it into freezer then.
🤘😑🤘 that is what is up. Nice.
I am thinking about camping in my 99 k2500. I don't know about you, but I just need a place to sleep, and a bathroom. I can eat anywhere, anyway. I'm not going to poop behind a tree, or at a truck stop at 6am. HA! You have a very creative stealth camper!
This is cozy ❤
2 suggestions if you haven't done them already. cut a cover plate for the backside of your wiring area. 2nd- tie that battery down so it doesn't move around on you. you may even want to add a 2nd battery down there.
Great comment! I did both! But I do appreciate you spending the time to leave comment on the video my friend! Take care
You have a great set up but honestly this is great for camping and trails , as far as living in it I hope it doesn’t affect your mental health cause as much time that you can spend outside doing things eventually this is where you’ll be for a long time . I wish you the best .
Thanks for the comment! It was great while it lasted. No concerns about my mental health at any point. Average Joe might have problems though
Awesome build!
Thanks for the comment!
Big difference in how you built this vs othe burban builds. That counter top with visibility through window opened that thing up. Cool build.
I appreciate this comment Jimmy! The views were amazing from the back of the vehicle. Panoramic!
Nice video. Loved the dinner scene. Reminds me of the days when I was working and would pick up a yogurt or pudding on the way from one site to another. I would open the container and realize I didn't have a spoon. It was then I realized that you can drink yogurt from a straw or eat pudding by making a makeshift shovel out of a folded up index card. Anything is possible with a little ingenuity.
That's for taking the time to leave this comment. I've used some wild things as utencils!
Hey man i just discovered your video today. I recently got me a 06 suburban. And i really like your set up. I do have a few questions lol. I have a son also , And a dog my quest is where does your son sleep when he is with you? Im trying to get ideas for me and my son this summer. Any suggestions or anything words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance and keep uo your videos!
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Means a lot! My son would sleep where my feet would go. Have a mattress that fits that space perfectly.
@RenegadeRickJames cool. Thanks man!
How long do the batteries usually last?
I could go about 3 days before recharging.
Dig the rig, and like your content. Are you still on the road?
Dig your rig
Its crazy how much how happened there and that building was scary to explore with creepy noises and other stuff
I’m thinking about doing this myself. I live Utah county so I know a lot place I could just crash to save money while getting my business going.
Perfect time to start building! Best of luck and thanks for leaving the comment :)

@@RenegadeRickJames no problem bro I watched a couple of your videos I got some ideas for more content like hunting and fishing to get more views
How high is your bed platform
I think it's like... 12 inches? Been some time so not 100%!
@@RenegadeRickJames thanks. Did you move out of it?
Bro the memories!! Keep em up.. n if you can share with us.. much love
How can I contact you? About how much for something like this
Good question. What state you living in?
Cool. I have a Yukon XL too. I wanna do the same
Thanks for leaving a comment! Hopefully this video helps motivate and give you ideas for your build!
When cutting the wheel well liner did it ever cause a problem driving? Have they ever came off on the highway, or anything similar to that?
"The wierdos come out at night" as though its not wierd to live in your vehicle.😂😂 I get what you mean but let's not pretend living in your vehicle isn't sketchy.

Hey Rick & Anthony I just found you because of a group I’m in which someone shared this video, and I have to say the way you share the details you give and the quality of your video is on point. I’m excited to watch more of your content, and I will definitely be trying this recipe my kids love fried chicken and rice, and they are super picky so finding new recipes made out of the foods they love makes this momma happy!! And Anthony you are such a cutie, and you remind me of my son, he is also very interested in the outdoors and loves to explore, and he loves rocks and crystals as well!!! Thanks for sharing your life with us!! 😊 -Your new fan, Nachelle
Thank you so much for the amazing comment!! Very kind of you to take the time to write that out for me
Ver nice little set up.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment
But how about the SUV details? Mileage, maintenance costs?
The suv has a ton of miles. I bought it for a few grand, knowing I was going to gut the thing.
@@RenegadeRickJames glad you got a good one!

Thanks for leaving the comment! Lots of hard work but turned out perfect!

I’m build one
They got to be better then the Bumper superstore I paid $3000 for a trailready bumper and 2 months after I paid for the bumper I get a email saying that the labor day sale is over and the bumper went up $400 and they want the extra $400 I told then that there must be a mistake because I paid in full and I've never heard back from them I have a receipt where I paid in full They want return my calls and deleted my reviews They just scamming people Good luck out there
If that's a deep cycle battery.... 40 amps is too high. They like to charge no more than 10 amps
That's an incredible build 🙂👍🏾
Thank you for the awesome comment!
A froli bed system.
Not a bad idea for these types of builds! Had to look it up, looks great to reduce moisture / mold

Anything you can share about when you’re in the city? Gym membership, parking ideas, where do you work, etc. basically anything.
Sure! I would park in areas that were not visited much. If I was in a bind I would park and keep a super low profile. Work I was doing freelance handyman type gigs during the shooting of this video. No gym memberships, instead I used recreation centers.
Been looking for a setup for my SUV and after watching hundreds of videos I came across one design that I like and this is the second one. Thank you for sharing this so now I need to decide which one will be easier to build and cheapest . Maybe I'll incorporate the 2 designs into one. Who knows. But I like your easy bed setup. I just wish you gave more detail on the build like how you installed the flooring. Still great build though. 😊
Thanks for the awesome comment. I'll be more detailed in the next build video! Thanks for watching!
Is this the RL??
