Nintendo went hard with the GBA animations back in the day. I generally really like this style. Unfortunately everything must be cringey anime-styled bs and 3d now. 2D pixel art meant the animators had to get creative and show what they could do, rather than rely on robotic 3d animation to just lazily do the thing for them, three times worse.

If i remember correctly this game actually had a tower you could go to whenever you wanted that would just infinitely spawn enemies forever. You could grind as much as you wanted with no drawback, which fire emblem games didn't normally let you do back then. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if that's actually how this person got lute to be so busted. Pretty sure I did the same thing to a different character that you get who starts as a wet behind the ears recruit. Maxed her out three times into a general and she tanked a shot from the final boss like a champ that would have killed my lord and forced a restart
Well, not quite, Thunder has one more point in might than Flux. Both Nosferatu and Elfire have 10 might, but former is heavier and less accurate, the HP recovery is nice if you're sure the attack will kill. Bolting is objectively better than Eclipse. Gleipnir has higher base might than Exalibur, but it's much heavier, and the stat bonus only compensates for its lower hit rate while Excalibur's speed boost means that it's more likely that she'd double enemies and kill monsters because of the effective damage. So in short, Lute would actually be worse off by using dark magic compared to anima. Oh sure, Luna is nice against high res enemies, if you can actually hit them with its dogshit hit rate.

@@DouglasStewart99in sacred stones any point to speed after 20 is redundant, the amount of enemies is the game that you can double pass that point is almost all the game and the only units you are not doubling are thiefs, maybe a last chapters swordmaster and not much else, and nothing is going to double you, this game plays on enemy face because is faster to just move recklessly in front of a horde of enemies and watching them selfdestroy, in this game out of all gba games a lvl up of just speed after 20 is a objectively a bad lvl up, that and a blank lvl up is almost the same, not as bad as a only def or only res lvl, but is still not providing nothing most of the time

I don’t remember the name of the chapter, but it’s the one where you fight against Lloyd/Linus and recruit Vaida

@@unshr0 They’re not, though. Binding Blade was never translated, Sacred Stones has a ton of odd issues due to some of the new ideas it tried that could use refinement, and Blazing Blade, though awesome, could really use some quality of life tweaks (like giving Lyn the Swordmaster crit boost).
