Thank you ❤️🙏 The Wavestate is an awesome machine! Loading the samples can be time consuming/cumbersome, but the results are amazing when done correctly. The overall factory sounds are really good to get going, though, and building patches is fun. I’ll say it’s not the fastest setup, but the interface is built really well to reduce time.
In the simple form, yes. But as soon as you get a little more complex, like randomly choosing vowels, adding rhythmic variations, morphing between sounds etc the Wavestate becomes an absolute sample God. Really incredible to program.
Man am I late to the game on this synth. I never really understood what you could do with it til very recent (today). Definitely don’t know any other hardware synths doing this

Specifically the sample editor, not the librarian. I still prefer to program patches from the panel. The Korg Sample editor is how you import custom multi-samples.
best synth in yrs i think for the price the build well its like this like that encoder know is of particular concern but its fairly well built and you get the power of the wavesequencing work of genius cant say same for the other synths in this series had the modwave sent it back after 2 weeks it wasnt working tried the opsix and it didnt work for me but for me wavestate should have been synth of 2020 hands down and it was reason i sold all me did studio just a load of synths gahtering dust never getting used wavestste is all i need really
Does this sound good paired with a monologue xd? I read someone say somewhere they thought, although great sounding, the wavestate didn’t really marry well with analogue synths…
I think it depends on the patches. Because it’s all digital, it can sound that way easily. Load up some samples from analog synths and it pairs fantastically with analog synths. Just depends on the production.
Still love it. We did an ambient piece recently with it and the MPC. Haven't released it yet because 'life' reasons, but sooooon. Even that SE version is tempting tbh.

@@TeftyMeems Oh, word! Thanks for the follow up. I'm currently going back and forth on if I'm getting a Wavestate or the Waldorf Iridium. I know, totally different spectrum of synth. But for me they would both fill the same sonic needs. I'm just not sure if the extra $1900 for the Waldorf over the Korg is justified, or if the Wavestate will cover enough of what I'm looking for.
Can confirm, Opsix is dope! Wavestate is like the complete opposite of it though. I feel like the Wavestate presets demo all these crazy sonics that don't feel very useful for most productions. Once you start peeling back the layers and program specific patches, it's a one of a kind synth. Really remarkable.
@@TeftyMeems I have multiple samplers already,some synths,and computers,and just recently got the POlyEnd Tracker,so presets onboard really do not make a difference.Between samples and sounds one can create and the power of computers,there's not much that cannot be created..I have run records through my Ensoniq ASR10 and my Roland analog synth,and they become something else just for example..Then when you know how to mix,scratch,and juggle records,and process all that,it gets to be a lotta fun.

Love my Wavestate. Great demo this. Having the Computer app opens up the visual detail which in turn helps to get to grips with synth in standalone.

Yep, the samples are send from the Korg editor INTO the wavestate and can then be played

When you mention it...I see a weak point in that encoder that does everything...isn't there an up/down or +/- button to stop wearing down the encoder?
