My Friend! So delicious. This is one of my “special” breakfasts as well. The eggs Benedict recipe you shared (delicious) is my wife’s favorite, but steak and eggs is MY favorite. You and I have the same cooking style…take time with the bacon, take time with the onion, put the potatoes in and again, take your time. BUT, when the egg starts cooking, you have 3 things going, so you are constantly in motion! Love it! For me, that’s one of the fun parts of cooking. Paying attention near the end is the difference between an awesome dish, and one that’s just ok.
    Thank you my friend!

Today is our wedding anniversary. While I was watering our tomatoes and flowers my husband snuck off to the most wonderful store, Oliver's, and got steaks flowers, champagne, oranges and petits fours. When I came in, the flowers with a beautiful card and petits fours were at my place at the table with champagne chilling. And now, he is making your steak and eggs. I can't eat potatoes so we are substituting rutabaga. Yum! I can't wait! My husband, Paul, is a fantastic cook and we love to watch Jean Pierre. We have picked up so many wonderful tips from his videos. Thank you, my friend! You the best chef on the boob tube!

I made the potatoes this morning. I didn’t have bacon so I used Cumberland sausage out of the casing and crumbled. Fantastic!

Thank you for producing this video, Chef JP! I bought a package of breakfast steaks last week and watched this video to learn how to cook them. As always, your video was a perfect balance of information and entertainment. And it gave me the confidence to try frying the steaks in a pan. I know my cooking skills aren't even on the same planet as yours, but my breakfast steaks have turned out great--all thanks to you!

Chef I love when you talk about your pans, and I too was curious about you using metal in your non-stick pans, and now I know why it's fine to do so!

remember not all nonstick pans are created equal use metal at your own risk

@@davidens8204 Thanks for your input there. I don't know much about the topic, but I'd be very selective about buying a non-stick pan that's for sure!

@@smoothbeak yes .. I am not sure because I never looked but I think he might have a link to the company that makes the pan he uses something like Diamond.. Also cheap nonstick pans can be toxic to creatures like pet birds and such all it could take is as little as a whiff of the pan at over 400 degrees and your bird can die so again another level of hazard .. stay safe and happy cooking in the future

Hi Chef ! Beautiful recipe. After such a breakfast we can cut down a tree ! A little trick for the good temp of butter : After some bubbles the butter stop to "sing" : That's the time to put egg in the pan.

Only changes I would make is the egg over easy (I just like my fried eggs like that). And right before serving I would add diced tomato, and shredded sharp cheddar to the potatoes. YUM!!! For me too much work in the morning, but THE PERFECT breakfast for dinner meal!

Chef Jean -Pierre everyone. Knows how much patience it takes to cook breakfast and it is because of the variety and variations of cooking times and foods that makes it difficult. You my friend make it a breeze, a soft wind blowing through. How’s that Chef? Yes I know, a little much BUT it’s true, I love to watch your show! Thanks for sharing this Jean - Pierre see you next time.
